Applejack smiled, accepting the gem. "Who said we were going different places?" She asked, laughing.

"His house ran into a mountain?" She put the file down, then put her sunglasses back on. "I'd like to hear this story."

Applejack blushed when she saw Flashbomb looking at her. She suddenly felt very selfconscious. She smiled more in the manner of Fluttershy, ducking her head ever so slightly. "Well, we should probably head back to Ponyville.."

Spit Fire took off her sunglasses and looked over to Angel Snapp. "There's a specific pegasus i want you to keep an eye on. He looks promising. One 'Flashbomb.' Do you know anything about him?" She asked, looking at the new instructor.

Applejack was disappointed when he pulled away. "Wow..." Was all she could get out, a dazed expression on her face.

Applejack was smiling too. She started to say something, but was inturupted by Flashbombs kiss. Her eyes widened. Though nopony knew it, she had never been kissed before. She was startled by the heat of his lips on hers and almost pulled away. But then a shiver ran through her, and she closed here eyes and leaned into the kiss.

Applejack stepped in front of her brother. "Ah think Ah love him too..." At this, Big Mac froze. Applejack looked at him, wanting him to understand her feelings, even though she didnt undertand them herself. She continued. . "When Ah first saw him, somethin... Stirred inside me. Ah dont know what it was, but... Ah dont want to loose him... You saw when that rock fell on him. Ah've never felt like this before, but..." She looked Big Mac in the eyes. "Ah know Ah cant stop you from being suspicious, but please... Dont hurt him." She finished, a tear in her eye. Big Mac was quiet for a long time. Then he spoke. "Go. Go find him." Applejack smiled wide, kissed him on the cheek, and bolted from the hospital. Big Mac chuckled. "Eeyup." And with that, he made his way back to Cheerilee. As the scene resolved back to AJ and Flashbomb, thd orange mare looked up to her special somepony, awaiting his responce.

Applejack began to explain what happened. Ripples appeared as the flashback initiated... Big Mac followed Applejack to the end of the hall. "Whats wrong?" He asked, seeing the thoughtful look on her face. "Its Flashbomb... He" "What did he do?" The red stallion said aggressively, interupting his sister. "He... He said he loves me..." "That rat! I knew it, he's just trying to bed you!" Big Mac said angrily. He was assuming the worst. This business with his sister was bringing back memories of his younger days. When he was a young stallion, before Applejack was even old enough to talk, he was quite the mares pony. He knew every dirty trick in the book. He wasnt proud of his past, but the knowledge came in handy when he was judging Applejacks suitors. "No Big Mac! Flashbombs not like that!" Applejack said defensively. "The Tarturus he isnt. I'll crush him, tryin to pull something on you.." Big Mac tried to start towards Flashbomb, who had just walked out of his room. (continued)

"Oh my..." She looked at the gem, then at Flashbomb. "Flashbomb... I love you too."

Seeing that Flashbomb was not in the room anymore. "Where did he get to?" Then she remembered something he said about a present for her... She took off towards Canterlot. She arrived at the house ruins. "Flashbomb! There you are!"

Applejack walked out to the end of the hall with her brother. She talks for what seemed like a really long time. Eventually, after everypony else had left, she came back into Flashbombs room, alone. "Um... Flashbomb?"

"Have a seat Angel. I have an important job for you."

Suddenly, an announcement came on, broadcasting through the speakers positioned around the academy. "Would Angel Snapp please report to Spit Fire's office. Would Angel Snapp please report to Spit Fire's office."

Applejack looked at Flashbomb, then over to her brother. 'Ah need to talk through this...' She thought. She walked over to her brother, whispered something to him, and the two earth ponies walked out of the room, Big Mac looking back at Flashbomb as they left.

Spit Fire sat in her office looking over the applications for the new recruits. Each one had the pony's name, description, and picture. She came across one pony that caught her eye. "Hm... Flashbomb..." In the picture, the stallion was covered in scars, especially on his hind legs. (Hearts and Hooves Day reference! Yay! Haha) As she read his stats and the rest of his application, she eyed his picture curiously. "I'll have to keep an eye on this one..."

Applejack sat in the chair beside Flashbomb as the doctor examined him. She was deep in thought... 'Flashbomb said... He said he loved me... Ah've always thought that love was somethin that took time, but... Ah feel so strongly about him, even after just a day... Is this what love feels like? Ah've never been in love before... Sure, Ah love my family, but this is different... Ah'm gonna have to think about this... Maybe talk to Big Mac..' She looked over at her brother, then back to Flashbomb. She checked her ear; the feather he had preened was still in place. That thought made her smile.

Yes, she's a mail carrier.

Applejack held on to him, not wanting to let go. She thought she had lost him once, and she had fainted because of it. Big Macintosh sat in the corner, observing how Flashbomb handles his sister when she's upset.

So, I've been thinking, and based on what I've seen from the show, it seems all but impossible for a pony life to have exactly the same timeline as a human life. So here is my theory about the different stages of pony life. I will not include how long each stage lasts, since we are never given any ages, nor do we ever see anypony go through the different stages. This is based on my observations from the show, and my own conjecture. Newborn: This is the time just after the ponies are born. This is the time where the young ponies learn about their world through experiences. During this stage, unicorns experience bouts of unintended magic, caused by the young pony's inability to control or understand the magical forces. Pegasi may experience short flights or hovering as they explore the use of their wings. Ponies in this stage: Pumkin and Pound Cake Child: This is the time where the ponies can speak and walk, and they are learning about the world in a deeper way, able to understand and make inferences. Unicorns have learned to control and stop their magic fits, but they have not let learned to use magic voluntarily. Pegai have outgrown their wings, as the wings of a pegasi grow slower than the rest of the pony. As such, they can not fly until their wings catch up with the rest of their body. Early bloomers may get their cutie mark during this stage, but it is unlikely. Ponies in this stage: Pipsqueak Adolescence: This is a time of great change in a young pony. This is the period of time where ponies gain their cutie marks. Most ponies get their cutie marks early in this stage, though some late bloomers must wait. Unicorns may start to learn to use magic, and pegasi's wings will start to fill out. As the ponies get their cutie marks, they start to learn about their roles in pony society. Ponies in this stage: CMC, Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon Young Adulthood: This stage is reached after the young ponies have earned their cutie marks, and after pegasi and unicorns have learned the basics of flight and magic. During this stage, the ponies know what they want to do, and what their special talent means, but they may not yet know how to utilize it in the form of a job. Some ponies spend this time traveling, attempting to "find themselves", some ponies take odd jobs, waiting until they find the job they belong at. Some more immature ponies attempt to make names for themselves, either by chasing wild dreams, or attempting to one up those around them. Ponies in this stage: The Great and Powerful Trixie, Derpy Hooves Middle Age: By now, most ponies know where they belong, and have settled down in what they are set to do. Ponies in this stage: The Mane 6, Cheerilee, Big Macintosh, Wonderbolts Old Age: This is the time when a pony has become unable to preform their duty, instead becoming more of story tellers and caretakers, sharing the wisdom of the past with the younger generations. Ponies in this stage: Granny Smith.

(Whoa, I sure missed a lot. I guess thats what I get for being offline all night. Haha) Big Macintosh walked into the hospital room, Applejack following close behind. After the boulder had fallen, Applejack, already tired from holding and then dropping the tree, had fainted at the thought of anything happening to Flashbomb. Big Mac, staying silent through Discords visit, had picked up his sister after the group had teleported away, and carried her back to Ponyville. He had taken her home and taken care of her. Seeing Flashbomb in the hospital bed, Applejack burst into relieved tears. She threw herself over her special somepony, wrapping him in a hug. "Flashbomb! Are you okay? What happened? Shoot, Ah'm so sorry, Ah just.. Ah couldnt hold that tree, Ah thought Ah could, it was just too big..."

Applejack was crying. "We were pulling the tree, and a boulder fell! He saved me!" She cried, laying over the unconscious pony.

"Oof!" Applejack grunted when she slammed against the wall. Then she spun around, checking on Flashbomb. "Flashbomb!" She cried, sprinting over to him.

Applejack took her spot, then nodded to Big Mac, who began pulling on the tree. As it came off the cloud room, she and Flashbomb took the weight onto their backs, making sure it didnt scrape or roll off. As the tree was coming off the edge of the room, Applejack's legs gave out, and she ducked and rolled from under the tree. Unable to carry it on his own, Flashbomb was forced to do the same. The large tree crashed to the ground, but luckily didnt roll towards the forest. After a moment of apparent calm, rumbling was heard, and Applejack looked up. A large boulder was falling right towards her! She screamed, and Big Mac took off running towards his sister, but it was no use. He was too far away to make it over to her in time.

"Naw. I'm gonna need you two to help lift and guide the tree, so that once I pull it off, it doesnt go crashing through the Everfree forest." Big Mac told Flashbomb as he took the rope and began tying it around the trunk.

"Any ideas Big Mac?" Applejack asked? Contrary to popular belief, Big Mac was increadibly intellegent. When he wasnt kicking out with hind-legs apples of with Cheerilee, he spent his time in his room, reading with Smarty Pants. Unknown to anypony but Twilight, Big Mac regularly checked out books from the library. "Tie me to the log, I can pull it out of the way."
