Shadow slowly awoke, hearing sounds of someone moving upstairs. Huh, Leif must be awake.As he slowly got up he limped over to the kitchen and started the coffee pot, not awake enough to do anything else yet.

"Uh probably" Shadow responded. He knew Care seeing as Care was dating Rainbow Dash, but he never met this mare named Derpy.

"Aha!" Shadow proclaimed "I knew you'd eventually find someone Vinyl! Good for you!" he cheered her on

Shadow looked in astonishment, as Leif had fallen asleep right in his arms, her own singing causing her to fall asleep. He chuckled a bit before wrapping her in his wings and pulling her onto his back, carrying her to his house and putting her into his bed, before going back downstairs and falling asleep on his couch. ((FF to next morning))

Shadow followed behind, obviously excited to hear Leif sing once more.

((LOL)) "Haha thanks" Shadow said with a slight blush. It was still really good to hear that he was going out with Delilah. Still felt strange that she liked him though.

"Alright, lead the way to the critters" Shadow said as he helped Leif stay up.

"Oh what? No nothing is wrong" he responded a bit slowly, putting on a smile for Delilah. Even with the smile on his face, his eyes still betrayed the sadness hidden deep somewhere. "Oh look, Vinyl is here, let's go say hi" he said, obviously trying to change the subject.

"Sweet" Just then the chariot landed, letting everyone out. As they were about to leave, Shadow quickly payed them with a generous tip, thanking them for being on time. Then, he turned to Leif and draped a wing around her, obviously seeing that she was quite tired and was almost dead on her feet "Well, the two of us are gonna go for now, Leif obviously needs her sleep" Shadow chuckled "but hey, see you guys tomorrow. Oh, and Rainbow, don't do anything TOO special tonight" he said with a sly grin and wink before walking away with Leif.

As their conversation died down, Shadow slowly fell back into his comatose state, thinking about the same things as before. Why does she like me? I'm nothing special, yet she's a goddess. I wonder if I deserve her... As his thoughts started slowly turning for the worse, the smile on his face slowly died, going to a more neutral expression. The look in his eyes however showed pure sadness behind them, him obviously trying to hide it though.

Shadow quickly stretched again before asking "So Leif, once we get back and you sing to your Critters, want to come sleep with me?"

"Good luck with that" was all he replied to that, obviously not believing that she could like EVERYTHING he liked more than he did.

Shadow put a hoof over his mouth as he stifled a yawn, obviously worn out from today's festivites. "Welp" he said as he stretched a bit "as soon as we're getting back I'm hitting the hay. Today was fun, but I'm tired"

"Hm? Oh!" he proclaimed as he exited his daydream "why yes, it's absolutely fascinating" he said with a sarcastic tone

As Shadow ate his fritter and drank his smoothie, his mind slowly started wandering. He couldn't believe how lucky he was to have Delilah as a marefriend. He wondered what was so special about him that made Delilah like him. As he continued to think these things, in reality he was spacing out a bit, staring at his plate even though it was empty already.

Shadow slowly lowered his hoof and looked at Leif, before saying "If by good looking you mean risque then yes, you'd be correct"

"Mhm...a new trend...that's what it is" he mumbled through his hoof, not wanting to remove it from his face and see what worse condition they put their dresses in.

As Shadow reached the cabin, he quickly threw his stuff onto a bed that wasn't taken and ran back to the beach. He didn't have any friends, so he just spent his time lying on the sand staring up in the clouds. It was peaceful for him. As he lay there he noticed the other ponies that were on the bus playing in the water, obviously enjoying each other's company. I wish I had a pony that I liked he thought while sighing. -

All Shadow could do at this point was stare in amazement as the two mares were ripping apart their own dresses. He facehoofed, not wanting to be the one to tell Rarity that her dresses were destroyed in less than a night wearing them.
