    Shimmer cursed to herself repeatedly under her breath as Thunder shot past her, unable to risk leaving Gadget unattended. Velocity spread his wings, one of which cracked as he did. He grit his teeth, looking at Thunder through rage filled eyes, he took off, adrenaline allowing him to ignore the pain

    Rune spun in circles, "Somanynewponiesohmygoodnessthisisawesome."

    Saronyx smiles, "Sounds like it would be enjoyable."

    Saronyx nods, "Yes," he says, then points to each pony as he mentions them, "Regal's a blacksmith, Magenta runs the shop, I'm a writer. What do you do? If you don't mind my asking that is."

    Shimmer floated back from the swing, but still held her blades in a parrying position in case the blade came in contact. She dashed forward, swinging with one hoof, keeping the other directed towards Gadget's blade

    Saronyx leaned his weight on one hoof, "So what is it you do for a living?"

    Saronyx bowed as best his position would allow him, "And as you've heard from Regal, my name is Saronyx. It is a pleasure to meet you." He holds out a hoof

    "And I hope to be a historian! What's your ambition Sugar Song?" Rune said, tilting his head.

    Velocity growled, ignoring his pain as he made for his sister and Gadget. Shimmer floated back into the air slightly when Gadget pushed her off. She watched him as she shook her front hooves, causing the blades on either side to fall into place.     Rune's ears swiveled towards the sound of her voice, and he turned to face her, "Hello!" He said, going about his greeting ritual then holding out his hoof, "I'm Rune, what's your name?"

    Shimmer shot towards Gadget as he emerged. Velocity pushed himself up, having finally come to. His armor was mangled, and he was unable to feel his one wing. He growled, lowering his horned helmet as he mustered up the strength to aid his sister.

    Saronyx nods in agreement, "One can never meet to many in their lifetime." He says under his breath

    Rune stifled a chuckle when he saw Scootaloo's expression, "Well Uncle, you said I should make some friends here. And I believe I have!"

    "Speaking of which," Denim said, stretching her back until she felt satisfied her spine was situated once more.

    Shimmer made an irritated face, following after the puddle, calling, "Twilight! Heads up! One of them got past me!" Velocity attempted to slow himself. Realizing this was a lost cause, he turned so his armored side would crash into the ground first. While it didn't save him completely from injury, the armor absorbed some of the shock. The stallion lay still for a few moments

    Denim smiled, "While I am miffed about my failed transportation, it's always nice to meet somepony new." ((Hah, it's alright!))

    Denim nodded to Finny. She stuck her hoof out to Leif after she was finished shaking Finny's, "Forgive me, I can get lost in thought sometimes."

    The mare turned to face Finny and his companions, "From my experiences, yes. My name is Denim." She held out a hoof, smiling slightly, "It's a pleasure to meet you."

    Velocity changed his angle, flying over the cloud and into the sky. Shimmer smiled, holding her ground, "I heard you the first time. But frankly, it's not me you need to worry about," As she said this, Velocity rocketed out of the sky, headed directly for Gadget, "My brother is easily worth two."

    The Unicorn shook the dust off of her, answering Finny as she did, "I fell from the sky, to put it simply. Teleportation spell gone wrong," she tapped a hoof on her chin, "Maybe I need to focus more on where I want to go, not actually getting there next time."

    As Velocity felt Gadget's hoof connect with his helmet, he compensated, rolling beneath and to the side of Gadget, taking a ready stance as Shimmer answered for them, "Sounds like fun." She said, smiling slightly. Velocity charged Gadget, a borderline sadistic look in his eyes. Shimmer stayed close to Twilight.

    Above them, a distorted warping sound appeared, followed by a pony shouting "No" repeatedly before falling to the ground. The pony, a unicorn, pushed themselves up, muttering, "I've got the actual teleporting down... It's just a matter of where I end up." (referring to the pony as ambiguously as I have not decided who it is just yet)

    The guards, a stallion named Velocity and his sister, Shimmer, kept their positions on either side of Twilight, ready to fend off attackers, "Try not to kill them," Shimmer whispered to her brother, "They can still be saved." Velocity nodded, "I know."

    "You can trust that should business direct me to Canterlot in the future that I'll come back." Saronyx says with the hint of a smile.
