  1. You know me, I'm nervous about saying anything is finished. Still debating a bit.

Well, if there's anything that's a problem with it, someone will let you know if/why they can't approve it (once it's not WIP).

  2. Just a reminder, if you feel that your character is finished, don't forget to remove the WIP tag in the title. If it's on there, your app won't be considered for approval.

I'm not quite sure if there's anything else I should add.

Well, if there's anything that's a problem with it, someone will let you know if/why they can't approve it.

  3. Well, maybe Hasbro (and The Hub as well) see the YouTube videos as free publicity--well, pretty much anything pony related on the internet is free publicity. But seeing a picture and watching something are two entirely different things.

  4. Neil Gaiman spoke about the positive side of people on the internet sharing his comics and books and how it leads to increased exposure and sales; it is very relevant about how FiM on Youtube has really expanded the fandom and I believe, potential future DVD sales.

    NEIL GAIMAN! :o:P

  5. Hello there!

Your character sounds kind of like one of my OCs, ShadowMist.

    Welcome to the Equestria forums!

One of the first places you might want to head to is the rules section, which has the basic rules of the board and the RP section.

Before you can post on other places on the board, you'll need to make at least 5 posts anywhere in the Introduction thread. Your post count can be found under your name (and avatar, if you have one).

  6. hi hi

I noticed something of a pattern when it comes to Twilight's magic. When she's just practicing, using it as a shortcut or for selfish reasons, she often has a hard time with it and sometimes it even turns out disastrously. But when she's using her magic to help out her friends to do the right thing, she manages to pull it off, sometimes effortlessly. Perhaps this is due to the relationship between magic and friendship.

She has trouble teleporting every now and again, but when she was trying to convince Applejack to accept her help, she teleports around without breaking a sweat. She tries to fix the parasprite problem, ignoring her friend Pinkie Pie or tries to help clean up winter, ignoring her friend Applejack and things get much worse.

Perhaps that is why Trixie turned to stage magic, because she had never let true friendship into her heart. or something...

That actually makes a whole lot of sense.

Also note, that if Twilight is focusing on her friends, she's not so focused on herself or her magic. It seems that Twilight uses magic best when she just doesn't think about it. Kind of like an adrenaline rush, I guess, where, if she's caught in the moment, magic works better.

Like when she accidentally teleported in The Ticket Master. She was sort of thinking about herself, but she was more focusesed on getting away. She even tells Spike, "I didn't even know it was going to happen!"

  7. I am somewhat convinced that growing up, I used to watch a show called 'My Little Pony Girls', which had some similarity with My Little Pony Tales but wasn't the same show and had a different opening sequence, possibly including a slide down a rainbow. I have no idea if this show is real as I cannot find any information online about it, and it may just be a Canadian renaming of Tales, as many cartoons and kids' shows in Canada have slightly altered titles (see 'Beasties' in Canada opposed to 'Beast Wars' in America for an example). Nonetheless, I'd love to find out if my memories are correct one way or the other, so if you know anything about it, please let me know n_n !

My friend suggested that it could have been a rename of a show called Rainbow Brite. There are ponies and rainbows and girls. I never watched it as a kid, but I think it was pretty popular.

  8. Didn't Paradise Estate have a slide?

My Little Pony was about the ponies that lived in Dream Valley in Paradise Estate. Spike was in this series, and they basically...fought bad guys? Stuff like that.

In My Little Pony Tales, the focus was on seven main ponies, who went to school and basically did normal stuff. Everypony was an Earth pony....except for the time they met the Pegasus ponies....

I used to watch both in the 90's, since apparently they both aired around the same time.

Other than that, there weren't any American MLP series until Generation 3.

  9. Hi there! Welcome to Equestria! Just so you know, you'll need to post 5 times somewhere in the Introductions thread before you can post on other parts of the board. You can see your post count under your avatar.

You might want to head over to the rules section to make sure you're up to par with how things are run around here. If you're looking to RP, that's great, we've got a lot of filles and gentlecolts over in that section. If RPing isn't your style, that's totally cool. There are tons of topics to check out and lots of bronies to meet. See ya around!

  10. lol his name made me laugh because I have a book of "cake wrecks".

I would like to know what "casual" means in terms of his mane style.

    IDK, regular? Normal?

But what is a regular or normal style? That doesn't describe it at all.

    Better?

  11. Trixie and Twilight are two perfectly healthy Unicorns.

Thinking more on this, I may have come up with a better way of explaining things. It is my belief that all Unicorns posses the talent to become as powerful as Twilight is. Considering things, Twilight isn't really that much more powerful than other Unicorns.

The reason no other Unicorns have ever become as powerful as she is is because they all have to have jobs.

Equestria is a working society, therefore everypony must contribute to society in order to generate income. Twilight Sparkle is a different case, because she doesn't need a job. Celestia trained her from a young age to practice magic and to devote her time to studying. Now that Twilight is older, it seems that Celestia must take care of any expenses she has, since she does not technically have a job.
