  1. Welcome to the forums! Be sure to stop off at the Getting Started section for a whole saddlebag full of goodies and useful information!

Just had a chance to read the majority of the rules and wasn't able to find any info regarding avatar pictures. Is there any specific size and dimensions the pics have to be?

When you go to upload an avatar on your profile, the info is right on that page. "Maximum dimensions; width: 100 pixels, height: 100 pixels, file size: 32.00 KiB."

  2. Name: Cake Wrecks

    Gender: Male

    Age: Stallion

    Species: Unicorn

    Pelt Color: Thistle

Mane/Tail Color & Style: Gold. His mane is cut short, and it's not uncommon for him to wear a fedora style hat. His tail flows long and straight, slightly longer than the average length.

Eye Color: Gold, matching his hair

Cutie Mark: A three layer cake with frosting, toppled over

Physique: Normal for a pony of his age

    Residence: Fillydelphia

Occupation: Delivery pony all over Equestria. He helps bakeries deliver specialty items to other bakeries, and also helps them trade recipes. He is also a great pony for spreading around information, being an exceptional listener.

Motivation: Cake was never very good in the kitchen. Well, not entirely true. He can be an excellent baker, however, he's not always as excellent at keeping things aloft.

Likes: Muffins, cakes, pies, pastries, breads, social events

    Dislikes: Untrue gossip, baked bads

Character Summary: Cake Wrecks discovered at a young age that he loved cooking. However, his magical abilities have never been very stable, thus he has trouble holding things for long periods of time. More than baking, however, Cake found that he loves smelling and tasting things, especially baked goods. He has a special cart that he travels with, which has a spell on it that he managed to cast, which prevents the baked goods inside from getting stale for an extended period of time. That way, he has time to travel back to his home bakery in Fillydelphia.

He loves to socialize with other ponies, and if you didn't know him, you might think he was a big gossip. However, Cake gets both sides to every story before retelling a story. If you here it from him, it's bound to be true!

Cake Wrecks lives by himself in Fillydelphia, but is rarely ever home. He spends much of his time traveling and making deliveries, sometimes going so far he has to stay overnight in some places. He loves his job as a delivery pony, but can't help feel that there is something missing in his life.

  3. I disagree, I think that with repeated practice and training anyone (excluding those with physical handicaps preventing them from doing so) could potentially lift 200 pounds. Twilight has devoted her life, seemingly since birth, to study and practice, but not of any specific skill. With Trixie, we don't know her history. Also, she travels around, and therefore does not have access to books or time to practice as much as Twilight does.

All ponies are probably going to make mistakes at times, regardless of what their talent is. Twilight, with practice, could perfect her "Come To Life" spell, but she would need to hone that particular spell skill.

  4. I was thinking about how Twilght's talent is supposed to be magic. That makes her seem a lot more special than any other ponies in the series. But I got to thinking about it, and realized that Twilight really ISN'T super special.

Her talent is magic, we all agree. But what not everyone takes into consideration is the meaning of that.

Her talent is actually SPELLS. Spells=magic.

As we see, Rarity's talent is clothing making. That is something that Twilight cannot do, however, as we see in A Dog and a Pony Show, Twilight CAN copy Rarity's "Gem Finding" spell. Why? Because that's a spell, not a talent.

Twilight's talent is learning and being able to remember spells, but not having a specific talent, per se. Twilight's talent translates to simply magic because her talent is spells, but that technically isn't really something specific.

Trixie's talent might seem similar, because her talent could be spells/tricks. However, she hasn't done extensive research or training as Twilight has, thus her powers are not as strong. As Twilight gets older, she will learn more spells, but in order to have a specific skill in something, she would have to hone her skills according to a specific job.

    Thoughts?

  5. Hello Sam!

If you have found you cannot post in other threads, you may want to check out the rules: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7

You just have to post 5 times anywhere in the Introduction thread, then you'll be ready to go! It's just set up that way to keep out spambots and trolls, which you're probably not :).

Any other questions, someone will be around to answer them shortly.

  6. MLPT it means the Aunt is staying a unicorn, she's making the parent ponies in fillydelphia unicorns so they would have unicorn foals.

I know, but I didn't know if RC had any plans for the parents that involved them being Pegasi, because the twins originated as Pegasi.

Just making sure that a problem won't arise in the future.

  7. If the twins are Unicorns, at least one of their parents has to be a Unicorn.

lol that's fine! the whole reason I'm giving them to Lily is so I don't have to actually MAKE their parents

Okay, just making sure you were aware of that.

  8. Is there a problem with Lily being a unicorn and the twins being Pegasusi? I figured since she isn't their mother that it would be fine

Well, if the twins' parents are Pegasi, and their aunt is a Unicorn, it would just mean that for their grandparents, one would have to be a Unicorn and one a Pegasus...unless there was adoption somewhere along the line.

  9. BlackFang has it right. The world "Brony" didn't seem to exist before FiM. The word came about because of this version of the show, but there's no reason it can't apply to past generations. Generally, the older generations were centered around girls, therefore there don't seem to be a lot of male fans of those series.

  10. Deathstroke IS a bad guy. Some of the fans weren't too happy about Cass working for him, so the writers/creators/whatever worked around it saying that he gave her some sort of drug that...I don't remember, anyway, it made her bad, and explained how she never was actually bad.

  11. Stephanie is fine as Spoiler. But as Batgirl? Not sure, I haven't read any of the newer comics. Ya, daughter of Cluemaster, if I remember right.

I saw Cassandra in one of the Teen Titans comics working for Deathstroke. Not sure what happened after that.
