  1. Tehengu watched as his blade was deflected, as he expected. Midnight had directed his blade to the left, leaving his right open for the follow-up thrust she made, even going so far as to almost leap into the attack. He jumped back from the strike, twisting to the side as much as he could to avoid the blade. When he landed, he readied himself again, staring her down despite the fact that it had gotten dark.

"If you want to call it a night, go ahead. I'm willing to keep going if you want though, up to you." He said simply, breaking the silence that had fallen between them during the battle.

  2. Tehengu smirked as the blow landed, staggering Midnight a bit as she moved back from him. He grabbed his blade in both hands again before charging in, delivering a strong overhead slash that she would likely block. He knew he shouldn't be engaging Midnight in close combat, as that seemed to be what she was best at, but this session was for them to get used to the other's fighting style, and he couldn't do that if all he saw was how good she was at dodging arrows.

  3. Tehengu watched as Midnight cartwheeled over him, following the path with his eye. She had managed to dodge the arrow, and now was behind him. He spun around as fast as he could, bringing his blade up to block the strike from Midnight. After the initial shock of the collision, Tehengu switched to a one-handed grip, using the other hand to deliver a hard punch towards Midnight's stomach area.

  4. Tehengu kept firing at Midnight, not letting up in the least as he followed her movements. She was definitely agile to be dodging arrows like that. Soon enough, she was charging at him, and he held his fire, aiming for a spot unprotected by the blades and letting loose.

After he fired that arrow, he flicked Aquilam into it's sword form, standing his ground and awaiting the fighting to continue.

  5. Tehengu looked over at Midnight as she asked if there were any rules. He snorted at that before raising his bow and taking aim, looking down the arrow made of energy at her. He didn't want to hurt her, so he had left his actual arrows back in the room.

"There are no rules to battle." He said simply, watching Midnight. "Let's start... Now!" He said just before releasing the tension and firing the energy arrow towards her, another one flying off within a second or so of the first one.

  6. Tehengu sighed a bit at Andrea's words. They were supposed to be a team, working together, not trying to assert dominance over one another. He shook his head before looking at Midnight as she suggested a sparring session. That sounded like a good idea. They could get a feel for each other's fighting style, and he could get a break from Andrea's attitude.

"Sounds good to me." He said, giving Midnight a nod and grabbing his bow, walking out to the field with her.

  7. Tehengu followed the group to the room they had been assigned, sighing at Andrea's attitude and her actions. She was going to be hard to get along with. Soon enough they reached the room, and Andrea barged in, picking one of the beds and jumping onto it. Slash decided to make his own bed with a hammock, somehow fitting the bed provided out the window. Tehengu sighed at their antics before picking his own bed and putting his bags down on it.

  8. Well, that had certainly been a long day. Not only had he stayed longer at school to finish up homework, all his friends were busy once he had finished. That had left him with largely nothing to do. He had taken a couple walks, but they weren't very interesting, and they didn't really help. There hadn't even been a show to look forward to helping out at. The birds chirping happily outside his window didn't help his little mood either.

He was tired and just wanted the day to end. He trudged into his bedroom, putting his sunglasses down as he flopped onto the bed, closing his eyes as he drifted off to sleep. Hopefully his dreams would be a bit more exciting than his day had been.

  9. Tehengu simply watched as Slash spoke with Andrea some more, the two if them apparently hearing the quiet jokes. Well, he had finished his meal, so he wasn't quite sure why they were still there. Andrea stood up to leave, though Slash seemed to take offense at that. He stood up with the two, looking at them.

"I'm done, ready to go." He said simply, looking over at Midnight momentarily.

  10. Tehengu was staying out of the little argument between Slash and Andrea, not seeing any reason to intervene in it. He continued eating, glancing over at Midnight for a moment as she spoke. He gave a quiet snort of laughter before finishing off his food.

"Yeah, they seem to enjoy it. Can't see why else they would do it so much." Tehengu quietly joked back.

  11. Tehengu ate at the table in silence, mostly eating various meats, though there were some vegetables in there as well. He gave Andrea a strange look at her reaction to Slash's words, but said nothing about it. He had no problem with Slash being the leader of the team, and he deferred to the headmaster's experience on the matter. He knew what he was doing.

  12. Well then, haven't even heard of most of those. I've seen Naruto and Pokemon (Well, some of Pokemon and most of Shippuden). Let's see, what have I seen all the way through...

    - Black Butler (First season at least, I'm not quite sure.)

    - Blue Exorcist

    - Durarara!

    - FMA (and Brotherhood)

    - Madoka Magika

    - Naruto (Original series)

I think that's it, but I could be wrong.

  13. Tehengu simply remained in the same position throughout the announcement. Slash was to lead them... Well, he didn't really mind that. He remained stoic until the crowd dispersed and left the four of them in the room. He turned towards Midnight, raising an eyebrow as if questioning why she had been staring.

  14. Tehengu remained quiet through the whole affair, watching as teams were assigned. He glanced back at Midnight a couple times, as she didn't seem to like the idea of partnering with him, let alone two others. Still, he would protect her if their team turned out to dislike faunus. Eventually, he heard his name called, and that of Slash and Midnight. So, they were paired with Slash and his partner? Well, the girl might be hard to get along with, but he was fine.

Tehengu walked towards the stage with Midnight, helping her on as he stood with Slash and Andrea.

  15. Tehengu looked at Midnight as she reluctantly agreed to come along. Really, she was forcing herself to go, which was completely unnecessary. They would have four years to get acquainted, there was no need to rush things. Still, if she insisted on doing this, he wasn't going to stop her. He gave her a nod before walking off towards the dining hall.

  16. Tehengu nodded at the headmaster as he spoke, taking out his relic and handing it to the two. There, his job was done, he could relax now. Slash mentioned getting a small amount of food before the lunch that would come not too long from then. Midnight didn't seem too interested in the idea, and he could tell she only said what she did for him. Well, that's what he thought anyways.

"You don't have to come if you don't want to, Midnight. I'm going though." Tehengu said, looking at his new partner.
