  1. Tehengu nodded at Slash's words about how weapons showed how different everyone was. Then came the question as to why he was treating the faunus as if he were just another human. Tehengu smirked a bit at that, looking at Slash for a bit before answering.

"I don't care what your race is. All I care about is how you act. Just because you have cat ears and I don't doesn't mean either of us is better than the other. No, that's determined by skill and how you act." He said, casting a glance over at the female faunus, who he was pretty sure had been watching him earlier, if he had interpreted that feeling correctly. It appeared she used two blades in her fighting style.

  2. At the question of his weapon, he smiled slightly, drawing the bow off his back and showing it to Slash.

"I use this. It can fire about as far as a sniper can, but I prefer this over any sniper. If anyone gets too close though," He said, flicking his wrist and turning the weapon into a sword. "I have this."

After that he turned the weapon back into a bow, stowing it away again. "What do you use?"

  3. Tehengu also caught sight of another cat faunus, though this one was female. Before he could really look around any more, the male cat spoke to him, asking how much he could lift. He looked at the faunus for a bit, thinking over his answer before he gave it.

"Enough. I don't really pay attention to the numbers." He said, giving a slight shrug to denote he really didn't know the exact number.

  4. Tehengu was staring out a window as well, watching the clouds roll by as he thought about how he had gotten here in the first place. It had been... different. He had been relaxing on a rooftop when he noticed a robbery going down. Apparently some goons thought it was a good idea to rob a lady. At least they had the sense to be in the dark and away from the main road, though that didn't help them too much with his elevated position and good eyesight.

"Well well, what have we here? Some thugs trying to take advantage of others, it seems." He said to himself, grabbing his bow while remaining hidden, pulling the string back as the arrow formed. He wasn't going to waste ammo on the likes of them. Plus, this weaker energy shot would be plenty efficient for what he was doing. He took aim and released, the energy traveling and connecting with one's head, the concussive force knocking him out cold. Another quick shot and the other was down for the count as well. He shook his head slightly as the woman looked around in fear before grabbing her things and running off.

"Thieves. They just can't take a hit." He said, laying his bow against the wall again as he went back to relaxing. Maybe he should try to find something with a bit more challenge.

And the next day he got himself into the academy. He looked over his shoulder at his bow, Aquila, and his arrows before turning to look at the others a bit more. There was a cat faunus not too far away, though he really didn't feel like talking to him at the moment. Or at least he didn't feel like starting the conversation.

  5. Yeah, makes sense. RWBY races it is, I suppose.

    Name: Tehengu

    Gender: Male

Race: Human (unless you're willing to let him be a Faunus with wings or increased eyesight from having bird eyes, since he's usually a griffon)

Appearance: Tehengu has a large build, bigger than most anybody else he meets. His musculature is well developed as well. His brown hair hangs naturally, though he keeps it out of his functioning eye. He has a bandanna going over the ruined eye in a way that still leaves his working green eye uncovered. He wears a set of light armor painted black.

Weapon: His weapon is a large bow that can shoot arrows over very long distances, essentially making it a silent sniper rifle. It can also collapse into a large blade for when his enemies get into melee range. He is best at picking off his enemies at range, hitting them where it hurts and not letting them get close enough to fight back.

Personality: He is generally laid back when he's not on a mission, nice to his friends and allies. He is fiercely loyal, willing to do what is needed of him. He will not abandon or betray his friends and allies. When he is on the job he becomes serious, focused on getting the job done while not letting his friends and allies die.
