Some threads I am or was contemplating joining, and maybe one I'm thinking about starting. Hard to tell sometimes whether or not I should be joining them, i.e. whether or not my character works there, if they're active or inactive and what the means for whether or not I should join, etc.

I have come to the realization that I'm in a couple threads in which I've completely lost track of the posting order. So, gimme a shout if you're waiting on me to post anywhere.

I feel like my current presence in the WWU thread is, if not necessarily bad, a sign that I should not make a WoE character, or at least that if I do I'll have to be very, VERY careful with how I play them.

Hmm, I guess I was a bit more vague than I meant to be. From a strictly writing quality standpoint I think I'm doing reasonably well, the bigger issue I'm worried about is that my posts felt like they were getting very dark very quickly. For the last few posts, I've felt relieved every time I logged the day after posting and didn't find a PM from an admin warning me about tone, and even though nothing happened the anxiety was getting to me a bit.

I don't think the tone of your posts is particularly dark. They certainly reflect the thoughts of a character who is hiding the way she is. All in all, well done.

My approach has been to work on characters while I don't have any active threads, if I can't come up with any threads myself, so that I expand my options as I wait for something to appear.

I have turned cowardice into a tactic. On the battlefield, I'm the guy running away from the enemy, shooting backwards. I should work this into a character somehow...

This is getting out of hand. At this rate, within a couple months I will make a post so large it'll practically be its own independent story.

Man, I hate being the last person to say anything for several days, in an otherwise active thread. Did I stun them with my brilliance? Were they shocked into silence by some horrible faux pas I committed? Am I droning on and boring them? Or have they just not had time to either check their computer or that thread in particular? WHO KNOWS?!

Duskfall: The big one at the moment is 'A horror and mystery thread' in the Canterlot Chronicles OOC, though there's also a thread in the creativity forum, and it's happened a few times before now.

Well, for the CC thread, he's still gauging interesting, and ironing things out. I suspect that would take time.

In some ways that seems like the most likely option. My concern is that I may have misinterpreted something as a call for suggestions, and thus can't tell whether or not I made a mistake and disrupted things with my last post.

Working on a new character. I figured I should make a WoE character at some point, and while digging through an old story seed I found a character that might actually work with some modification and some fleshing out.
