Pelt Color: Dark orange-cream

Mane/Tail Color & Style: Her mane and tail are both braided, with her end of her tail braid dragging on the ground. Both are made up of red, leaf green and light lime green stripes, woven interlocking in her braids.

Eye Color: Pink-red.

Cutie Mark: Two strawberries, one bigger than the other.

Physique:

Residence: Small and dainty-looking, but she can haul a full cart of strawberries from her farm to the marketplace without sweating.

Occupation: Owning and caring for Shining Berry Fields, her new-old strawberry farm outside of Ponyville, beside Sweet Apple Acres.

Motivation: Strawberry learned of her love of berries thanks to a lone strawberry plant that grew in her father's field, and through a series of events earned the deed to her late grandfather's old berry farm, where she now lives and grows berries of every sort to share with others.

Likes: Berries, Strawberries, fruit, the outdoors, the growing seasons, sweet things, friends, her garden hat.

Dislikes:Bugs and pests, winter, broken cart-wheels,

Character Summary:

Strawberry was born a farm girl, living on a simple hay farm in the middle of nowhere. She did as her parents told her, as they had been doing for generations on the same land. One day while weeding when she was a filly, she found a small strawberry plant seedling just starting to grow in the newly seeded-field. At the time she didn't know what kind of plant it was, so she dug it up and cared for it in her windowsill garden. It grew wonderfully, and bore beautiful red berries. When Strawberry tried a berry, she was amazed by the explosion of flavor and sweetness. For the next few years she cared for that strawberry plant, but didn't get her cutie mark until she was digging through some old boxes in the attic and came across the deed to her grandfather's old strawberry farm outside of Ponyville.

Her father had discarded the deed because he was a hay pony, as was all through his family. The deed was from her mother's side of the family, whom were fruit-growers through the years until she had fallen in love with Strawberry's father and married into his family. Her mother had even named her after a berry in the hopes she would grow up to be a fruit-lover too, and she luckily got her mother's genes.

Despite her father's protests, when Strawberry became of age she left home and moved to the now run-down Shining Berry Fields with the same single strawberry plant that started it all, eager to start her new life and share her gift of berry-growing with the ponies of Ponyville.

Quirks:Strawberry is a shy pony by nature, not as bad as Fluttershy but certianly too shy to be a good salespony. This was remedied when she found her grandfather's old garden hat in a chest in the farmhouse - when she has to go to town to sell her strawberries, she puts on the hat, and BAM she's a motivated and forward salespony, happy to help and eager to sell her produce.

BUT as soon as the hat is off, she's shy and to herself. The switch is so sudden, it's like someone turning on and off a light. And it can be triggered as simply as a gust of wind blowing her hat off her head, or someone pulling it off her head.

Note: She speaks with a slight western accent, similar to Applejacks but much milder. Just enough to show she's a farm girl.

I pretty much come up with my ponies' backstories and histories as I'm writing them here... seriously. Came up with this (except for the hat thing) in 5 minutes. XD
