((Understandable. Thanks for the heads up))

Fantasy smiled with a blush of her own, rather intensely flattered. It hadn't occurred to her how meaningful Darkness bringing her here was, and if he hadn't said anything, she probably wouldn't have realized it on her own. But now she was very much aware of it, hence the flattered feeling. Looking down at his hoof, she scooted her own closer as well. She was well aware of how Darkness felt of her, or at least she had a good idea by this point, but Fantasy wondered how reciprocal she had made herself. Realizing that now, with Darkness' speech, now would be the perfect time.

"Th-thank you! I guess after all that's happened, you're right about the 'more than just somepony'. Of course, the same applies to you as well... after all, you've even waited after I ran. A mistake on my part, I admit, but here we are. Two of a pair." Fantasy looked at him and gave a small, content smile before looking at the same spot in the lake he had turned his head from.

He smiled and looked at her happily, "Oh I'm so glad," he said as he blushed. She was so beautiful and he wanted to just kiss her, but was there bond that strong yet? He didn't want to risk loosing it all, he would just have to wait and see what she did as well. But he did lightly wrap his hoof around hers, they were also sitting very close now, pelts almost touching.

Fantasy blinked as Darkness wrapped his hoof around hers, her face flushing quite a bit. She didn't look down at it, but rather she froze in thought for a few seconds as her mind raced ahead of herself. Although she didn't look at it, she still felt his hoof and more or less focused entirely on it. It was certainly warm, but mainly it queued her in on how close the pegasus was to her, to which she hadn't really realized until that point. Perhaps she was aware of it, she had scooted closer herself after all, but the actual touching of hooves was a realization.

Now, of course, there was what happened next, which was what she was thinking about while she blushed so intensely. Should she nuzzle a bit in, maybe attempt a kiss, or would that be too much? It didn't seem that way, but then again this was all new territory for her. Then it occurred to her that it was indeed all new territory, or a sort of adventure, and as such she felt another intrepid surge as she realized adventuring was one thing she was good at. All this was only a different kind, of which she was becoming enormously fond of.

With this in mind, still blushing intensely, she leaned in and gave a very quick peck on Darkness' cheek. Not long at all, but she felt it was very courageous of her given the scenario. That was more less all her little surge allowed her to do before she realized what she had done, and she backed up a step and blushed even more as she gave a slight panic. "I'm sorry! That was too much, wasn't it? Oh dear..."

Darkness was blushing deep red and smiled as he looked at her and slowly leaned in and kissed her, passionately. He then pulled back and looked down to try and hide the deep blush all over his face, "I hope that wasn't too much either." he smiled and looked up at her smiling at her, "Hope I didn't upset you," he said and waited

If Fantasy froze up from simple hoof-holding, a full on kiss had her absolutely stunned. As Darkness took a step back, Fantasy took several moment just standing there unmoving, just a little shocked, or perhaps caught off guard Slowly, her blush grew as she stood there unblinking, until her face was once again an intense shade of red. Not that she wasn't happy. In fact, that was probably the first thought to cross her mind as she stood there. That she had actually enjoyed the kiss, much more so then her little peck on his cheek. Eventually, she blinked as, like a tidal wave, thoughts crashed through her head following the first one. Through it all, she managed to stammer out a response.

"N-not at all! That was just, well, a first time experience." She stood there, somewhat relaxing into a less frozen pose, as she gave a small slightly nervous smile. "It was nice. You're nice- wonderful, really." Mentally, the even kept replaying, how he had actually kissed her (no matter how many times she mentally repeated the event, it was still just as shocking). She had quite a bit to thank this stallion for, if for just being as perfect as he was. She had been around Equestria several times, to the point where the ruins were just starting to overlap, but this was new. And wonderfully so.

He smiled, "Oh I'm relieved, I was afraid you would hate me," he said and smiled at her as he relaxed and sat in front of her, not to close still, to allow her breathing room, "So..." he shuffled a hoof, "what now?"

Despite herself, Fantasy giggled a little. "Hate you? After all that's happened?" She smiled reassuringly, before giving the other problem some thought. Perhaps that little laugh cleared up her mind, but Fantasy's head certainly cleared up enough to enable that thought. What would they do? Fantasy blinked for a while, wondering if they were over thinking that question if not just a little.

"Well, talking seems to work fine, or at least it certainly has before hoof." Sitting down in a fashion similar to Darkness, she continued "So... you mentioned finding this place from upstream. How does one with wings fall into a river to begin with?" She gave a curious, if bemused glance, as she waited for a reply herself.

"well once wet my wings become useless so basically I have to walk," he explained, "it was raining so my wings got soaked," he smiled, "well anyway, I slipped," he admitted, "I was running to get to some cover and slipped on a rock and took a bit of a fall into the river," he shook his head, "then I woke up here,"

Fantasy nodded, mildly concerned at the prospect of Darkness slipping into a river and hitting his head on a rock, but she nodded intently. Certainly an interesting story, she had to admit. Besides, he was obviously okay. "I suppose that certainly makes sense." She looked around the clearing, wondering what it would be like to just wake up here. Certainly there were worse fates.

He smiled, "Yeah, a few of the animals around pulled me and laid me on shore, then I awoke there," he looked around, "The sun was at he perfect angle, I swear I thought I went to heaven, but alas I was alive and well," he smiled and looked to her, "Glad I am alive, got to meet you.

Again, Fantasy gave a slight chuckle, this time at the thought of Darkness' described situation. She honestly didn't know what she'd do in a situation like that. Maybe just sit around for a while and take it all in, more or less what she was doing in the first place. She matched his own smile, seeing as how it was a little infectious, and replied "I suppose meeting ponies would have to be one of the benefits of being alive. Not that I'd know what the benefits of the alternative would be..."

She gave the idea a bemused thought or too before dismissing it. Somehow a bunch of ghost ponies throwing a small little get together came to mind. "Well, regardless, an excellent tale to go with an excellent setting."

Fantasy gave a polite nod. "Well, if you insist." then took a few steps towards Darkness and lying down next to him. She left a small gap between them, unsure of how to proceed, so she figured a hoofstep or two of distance would be good. As she sat down, she gave a content sigh before finally finding a comfortable position to sit. Then, of course, because yawns are as infectious as a smile, she gave one of her own.

Fantasy, who was quite enjoying staring out into the lake, was somewhat oblivious to Darkness scooting closer. She didn't really notice it, so of course she didn't really react to it, but she did hear him speak. After all, they were right next to each other, so it would be rather hard not to. Taking a lazy second of thought, she responded back.

"A quick nap?" Another content pause "I see no reason for why not, so there must be a good reason for. Very well, A nap it is!" She turned to look at him, still not noticing the distance he closed in, and seeing as how she hadn't really quite stopped smiling, she merely directed it towards Darkness. Resting her head on the grass, she figured that sleep would evade her for a while, so she kept her face turned towards the pegasus.

He shifted and laid on his side so he was turned toward her and smiled warmly as he stared into her eyes and slowly closed his eyes and yawned lightly, "just for a little..." he slowly began to fall asleep beside the mare.

Fantasy watched curiously as Darkness fell asleep. She looked intently at him for a few seconds, as she felt her eyes get a little heavy herself. Watching him yawn, she of course had to yawn herself, and before she knew it, she too was fast asleep. It was hard not too, after all, the area was rather welcoming to that sort of behavior.

Darkness awoke a bit later and found himself curled up against the mare and slowly got up and sat next to her and smoothed down his pelt nervously. He then looked up and smiled, the sun was setting, he poked her lightly, "Hey come look, its beautiful!"

Fantasy awoke to the gentle poke, and sleepily listened to Darkness. Before registering what he had said, she noticed he was curled up against her, but in a just-awoken state, she didn't question much besides a contentedness of the situation. With that done, she blinked at Darkness before turning her gaze towards the whatever Darkness wanted her to see, before looking at the sun set. Upon seeing it, she smiled at the dimming sunlight, looking up at the skies.

"Is the day really almost over? Not to say anything bad of course, but I must say, I've always preferred the night to the day. Less things get in your eye, and the stars are just awe inspiring." She continued staring at the sunset, watching the brilliant colours of red and orange and even a little pink. "You're right though - it is beautiful."

Smiling, she watched the sun's descent next to Darkness. She must have lost track of time looking at it, as when she caught her thoughts again, the sun was very much close to completely setting.

He smiled at her, "Yes the night is always so majestic, you know I always wanted to be a Royal Lunar Guard?" he said to her and smiled, "I mean I have the pitch black pelt, but I doubt the Princess of the Night would ever accept me," he sighed and looked to the stars now appearing

Fantasy couldn't help but laugh a little, at that thought "No kidding? Certainly an admirable goal!" She looked up, following his gaze, before adding "But hey, if you were a royal guard you'd be holed up in Canterlot most of the time. All work and no play and all that. " Out of slight habit, she started to count the stars, but very quickly lost count at the sight of a shooting star amidst the first twinkling lights in the sky. In a moment of glee, Fantasy let loose a squee. "Haha! A shooting star!"

Pausing in thought, she felt an odd twinge of remorse, as she watched it dash between the stationary dots of light. She couldn't help herself, and although she didn't stop smiling, a few uneasy thoughts raced through her head. Hesitantly, she spoke up "Hey, Darkness? Do you think shooting stars ever envy the stars that get to stay put?"

"Why? I would think it would be the other way around," Darkness explained, "I mean wouldn't you rather be free and able to move then stuck in one place all your life?" then he thought, "Well I actually think its a more to each there own idea, maybe some love to stay still and other love to fly by," he said to her and turned toward her, "Why do you ask?"
