A School Story [Still Open!]

Okay, here's what's going on.

I want to take my new OC, Wordsworth Psmith out for a spin. He's an older schoolcolt (about high-school age), and has just been sent off to a boarding school. This institution (which I'm accepting name suggestions for) was set up for the purpose of mixing together fillies and colts from all the classes of Equestria, in the hopes that friendship and camaraderie can overcome social divisions.

No real plot in mind for now, just a story of making friends in a strange place, and making an exile tolerably enjoyable. My character is a student, but if you want to RP a teacher, that's OK too.

Just possibly, I should think. Suppose it were to suddenly come under new management, management with Ideas as to egalitarianism?

I'd been thinking more in the country than right in the city, but it could turn out well either way.

There is political/class conflict in the school as far as it's been fleshed out, since the history includes a protest against the lockers that only unicorns could actually use. Dunno what you could do with that. Anyways, I've got a student there, and a teacher (very) tentatively.

I know, the tentative teacher is actually my sister's OC.

Psmith would be coming in as an upper class student, in his last year of schooling, too. I'd like a few more students around.

I might do something with that history; I hadn't worked out anything relating to setting, to be honest. I could work with anything you gave to me, honestly, I just want to give my characters some air at this point.

*Bump*

Just to let everypony know, we're still open to admissions! Any student/teacher char you want to bring in is welcome.

Also, it mightn't be a bad idea to brainstorm incidents to liven up subsequent events; having established characters, we can thicken the plot.

Alright, so we've gotten a plot going, though I don't know how far it will get without more characters to rope in/oppose Psmith's little scheme. Any ways you think we might rope in more players/ponies?

Hm, troubling. And I suppose you're right; there aren't many school-related characters that aren't already in Ponyville or Canterlot.

Still, we'll get on as best we can.

...I'm a little stumped myself. I mean, my only other character is Thes, and he doesn’t fit in with the school setting. I'm not sure if we could do something with the choir--I'd want a few more ponies for that, though I could make do with implying NPC's to fill out the sound. The problem is, I'm not sure how that fits in with the already established plot line without being over clichéd.

Well, choir competitions taking them against rival schools/being looked down on by every other social group in the school...basically, ripping of Glee and every other story they took THEIR ideas from...I wish I could come up with something a little more original... :/

Think of it this way: What's the craziest idea you can put into Psmith's head?

Or, what might be some unforseen consequences of his putting into motion the Great Public Umbrella Scheme? What would the bold declaration of Socialism inside a previously upper-class bastion actually do?

I was kind of thinking near-term; if we bring in NPC's, the first thing they'd try to do is evict Psmith from his study. That's a source of conflict right there.

Hm, seems she'd fit in as the Astronomy teacher. The students would probably encounter her when they toured the classrooms, as they're just about to do, just have to wait for Osprey's post to bring them 'round.
