"Wow! That was cool! But uh, maybe we should get moving..."

"Y'sure?" Verity started mischievously, confidence on her face. "I could probably secure some more stuff with enough time and ingenuity."

it was at that word that word that a powerful snort of warm black smoke surrounded her and a giant claw lurched toward her. She jumped ahead, suddenly terrified. Slowly she turned around, expecting the worst. To her relief, the claw had moved in the direction of the dragon's own chin. He was still asleep, just scratching and snoring a little. It was a reminder of just how delicate these proceedings were though. Verity decided her young friend was probably right; after all, sometimes it was just bet to let sleeping dragons lie.

"Alright. You win. Let's bolt before the big guy stirs some more," Verity said as she cantered toward the exit. "Let's head to Stalliongrad!"

"Way ahead of you, slowpoke!"

Sniffles couldn't help but giggle as he went running down the mountain, flapping his useless wings in sheer joy as he ran towards the ground below. He looked back, grinning at Verity, when suddenly - he heard a snap as he tumbled towards the ground, face first, as he neared the bottom of the mountain! His eyes widened as he began to tumble the last few feet, gasping and yelling, before finally landing in a pile of leaves. He sat up, dazed, looking around, seeming very confused and very much in pain.

Sniffles sped off quickly with these words. Verity shook her head and sighed. This kid sure was something. She followed after him, intent to get away as soon as she could. He was a fast little guy. She wouldn't be able to keep up very easily. She was a fairly agile mare, but she wasn't quite so small nor so brash. She was far more aware of the fact that one misplaced hoof and she'd do serious harm to herself.

"Hey, not so fast kid! You maybe young but you're not indestructible," she called out after him as she did her best to steadily descend the mountain. "Keep that up and you're seriously going to get yourself hu--!"

Verity wasn't able to even finish that thought before she saw the young dragon lose his footing and go tumbling down the rest of the way. Verity increased her speed, hoping to catch up to the endangered youngster, but he was too far ahead. She was worried for a while, but luckily there was a pile of leaves waiting to break his fall. Still, she was pretty sure it was gonna hurt. Poor kid. Well, at least it might teach him a lesson.

"See, what did I tell ya?" she started as she leapt down the rest of the way to face him. "That's what happens when you rush ahead without thinking."

She gave a long sigh and then offered a hoof to help the dragon up. "Are you okay?" she asked, her voice finding concern.
