Harvest was done with work and enjoying her day off! Goggles pushed up on her head so she could see, scarf still wrapped around her neck, and sporting her traditional turtleneck sweater. Her wings were a little tired, and she was a little dozy, but for now she just wanted to relax! She trotted down the streets of Trottingham, stretching her wings nice and wide, the delivery mare was now on the hunt for an elusive coffee shop so she could get her much wanted caffeinated buzz! Flattery doesn't charge them batteries but a double shot espresso with a shot of caramel and whipped cream most certainly did!

"As I came down through Trotting City

At the hour of twelve at night

Who should I see but the crystal pony

Washing her hooves by candlelight"

Vanilla Latte never thought herself to be much of a singer, but she could carry a tune just fine and when business was slow she never hesitated to sing a song or two to herself as she worked. Though she liked music of all kinds, and was always getting a variety of local talents into the coffee shop to perform a gig or two, at this point in time she was infatuated with some of the more traditional tunes.

"First she washed them, then she dried them

Over a fire of amber coal

In all my life I ne'er did see

A mare so sweet about the sole"

She sang as she swept the floor, starting at the back of the shop and working her way towards the front door.

"Whack for the toora loora laddy

Whack for the toora loora lay

Whack for the toora loora laddy

Whack for the toora loora lay"

With great gusto and a bit of a jig, she swept the last of the dust out the door of the shop. As she did so, she noticed that the tables outside needed a good cleaning, so she grabbed the damp cloth from the pocket of her apron and went to work on them.

"As I came back through Trotting City

At the hour of half past eight

Who should I spy but the crystal pony

Brushing her mane in the broad daylight

First she tossed it, then she brushed it

In her mouth was a silver comb"

There were a few ponies rushing back and forth on Stampford Street and Tatterstall Drive, and Vanilla Latte was sure to wave at the ones she recognized, which were most of them.

"In all my life I ne'er did see

a mare so fair since I roa-

Well, good afternoon then, 'arvest Moon!" she called out, waving to the delivery pony. "Got the day off then?"

"Yes Ma'am! An one of your coffee drinks is just t' kick in the flank I need to kick start this fine day! If ya not busy?" She asked, grinning from ear to ear! She loved this coffee shop! "Though there was something I was wanting to ask you about your shop if that's okay with you ma'am!" Harvest was a little eager, but she had been getting a lot of time off recently due to particularly bitter winds, and it not being safe for her to fly.. "I was wonderin if ya had a job open at yer shop I could take part time?"

Harvest loved coffee almost as much as she loved the stars, and the sun, and the wind, and the night sky! And working with coffee would just be all sorts of fantasticalness!
