[Fillydelphia] A Walk in the Park [Open]

It was a Saturday, and surprisingly she had free time. Usually the doe was busy, running her daycare and taking care of all the fillies and colts. Everypony had decided to keep their foals home today, probably doing something fun and family oriented. She didn't mind though. She had decided that today she would wake up early, make a nice little picnic, and then head out to the park and enjoy her Saturday. It was a perfect day for picnicking. The sun was warming up the earth and the trees above painted the ground with their shadows. It was times like this that she enjoyed living in a city that offered a large, lovely park for ponies to enjoy. She continued walking along the trail, looking at the lovely scenery unfolding around her.

It was a little strange though, knowing she was in the comforting shadows of a forest, but she took the time to retrace her steps she'd be surrounded by the towering buildings of a city. It was somewhat amazing at the same time too, though. She continued walking down the trail, doting on the little things that crossed her mind. Who knows, maybe she'd meet somepony? She made more than enough food, so she wouldn't mind sharing.

In the middle of the trail, Honeydew was hard at work, doing something that would no doubt get her kicked out of the park should the appropriate authorities catch her. She was digging up that part of the trail. Nearby, there were also several very deep holes that she had dug. The honey-coloured mare's hooves were a complete mess. There was dirt smudges on her face, and her hair was slightly disheveled. She stiffened when she heard somepony approaching. Cautiously, she peeked out of the hole. She spotted the deer approaching and looked relieved upon noticing that she was just an average park-goer and not someone who had the authority to kick her out of the park.

She was so close to discovering the long lost treasure of Old Picker-Upper, famed treasure hunter and world champion of hide-and-seek from a long, long time ago. Legend had it that before he died, he buried all the treasure he had ever collected in one location. Most believed it was located somewhere in the Gallopocus Islands, but Honeydew had reason to believe that there were a few other plausible locations. She was so close! She could feel it in her bones! Her journalist instincts were tingling. The treasure was here. She was sure of it!

She turned away from the deer in a dismissive manner to resume digging, but then caught a whiff of the food she was carrying. This gave her pause. She peeked out of the hole again, sniffing at the air. Her stomach grumbled. All the digging she was doing was working up quite the appetite. Pink-coloured eyes locked onto the deer's in an intense, hungering stare. "Hello," she greeted, scrambling to climb out of the hole. The gaze moved to the picnic basket the deer had.

"You know, that looks like a really big basket." Honeydew licked her lips. "Really big. Really heavy. A doe like you couldn't possibly eat all of what's in there by herself. Luckily for you, you just so happened to run across me. I would be more than happy to lend my assistance."

Fooooooooooooood...
