Her parents named her for her dusty grey colouring (like a marble lost under the couch for a while). Marbles's family travelled a lot, and Marbles has visited a wide range of Equestria's towns and cities. As Marbles grew, she gained a love of shiny objects, and thus began to collect rocks and gems. Her parents, Emerald Shimmer and Rusty Treasures, are kind and loving towards Marbles, and often bring her a new object to add to her collection when they come home from trips on their own. She has a generally small family, having no siblings, one aunt, and a couple of cousins. Marbles often watches her parents work as jewel polishers, salesponies, and appraisers in their family's small jewelry shop, inherited from Marbles's grandmother on her father's side. She lives a very nice life currently, and her ever-growing rock/gem collection is quite large for a pony her age.Character Summary: Marbles is a sweet, affectionate, absentminded little pony with a love of shiny things and a bit of a lisp (s=sh). She has learned from her parents exactly how to properly polish her treasures, and keeps them all in excellent condition on various shelves in her room, devoting her spare time to keeping them that way. She loves her collection, rain, bugs, and meeting new ponies, but dislikes the dark, mean/bossy ponies, and letting her treasures get dirty. She is a bit spacey and has a few imaginary friends in addition to her real friends. When meeting somepony new, often the first thing she will do is to offer to show them her collection. She is very affectionate towards anypony she likes, at points getting a bit too clingy. She has never been very good at anything that involves getting too dirty (gardening, certain sports, etc.). The first is a name change. "Losing your marbles" is a common colloquialism for being crazy, so Lost Marbles doesn't really fit the flavour of WoE. We prefer names to not have any negative connotations. The other thing is a bit more detail in the character summary. Perhaps go into how she interacts with ponies and her friends.
