The elite of the Canterlot nobility gather here every year to rub shoulders with royalty, but also to try and upstage their rivals. Alliances are made, and battles fought, all with mere gestures or fashions. The room is filled with the low thrum of conversation, with an undercurrent of soft music. The center of the room is dedicated to sedate ballroom dancing. Centuries of artwork, sculpture, and tapestries adorn the walls. It would be hard to find a more elegant setting.While the rest of the Gala may be transforming, the Ballroom holds itself apart as a bastion of class and style. Nopony can even get in the door without formal attire, and disruptive influences are asked to leave.
