PrincessStarlight Posted September 26, 2013 Report Posted September 26, 2013 In the 24 or so hours I've been here, I've subscribed to a few threads. I am not getting any notifications on new posts. I know that the threads are getting new posts because I refresh the main page regularly to check for anything new or interesting. Is there any reason to this seemed Notification bug?
Armony Posted September 26, 2013 Report Posted September 26, 2013 Have you checked the Notification Options in your profile? I don't think the default settings give you immediate notifications for every post made in threads you're following.

Armony Posted September 26, 2013 Report Posted September 26, 2013 Regardless of what you set when using the follow button, I believe the settings in your profile override that. I'd recommend taking a minute or two to tweak the settings in your profile anyways, since they allow you better control over what you get notifications for, and when, and you can even get notifications by email, if you'd like.
starswirlthebearded Posted September 26, 2013 Report Posted September 26, 2013 What Armony says is true.Try this. Click on Notifications (regardless if you have any or not). You should have a drop down that says "View all notifications" and "Options."Click on options and see what notifications you'll get notified for. The default is blank except for PMs. Hope that helps!-StarSwirl
PrincessStarlight Posted September 26, 2013 Author Report Posted September 26, 2013 Ah ha. I figured it out.I for some reason decided to set it to notify me by phone, even though I didn't put my phone number on here....This conversation never happened.
