As they walked along the stone streets, Mossy was happy to share his vast knowledge of his kind's history when Night asked for it.

"Well..." he began. "I think you've got a good idea of our general appearance already- two heads, fluffy coats, etcetera- some of us have power gems, some have wings, some have neither, but it's impossible to have both wings and magic, some more uncommon ones of us have six legs rather than four... As for our history, our kind has been here just as long as yours. We began as roaming travelers, adventurers who had no single home and roamed the world. However... Eh... Some of your kind weren't very fond of our appearance and all... We were driven from many lands, and eventually settled into underground caverns scattered throughout the world. We are led by the elders, who have magic like you 'unicorn' things do. Our magic springs from a different source, though... The first of us to get a power gem caught a falling star. In order to live on, the dying star became a part of the Doppella in the form of a power gem and magical abilities." Mossy paused for a moment to make sure that Night understood and was still listening, then finished. "Our society is founded on cooperation- since each head controls one side of the body, if they can't cooperate, they can't survive, after all. Any questions?"

"Tech-no-lo-gy...? That's a funny word. Ooh, do you mean like those big loud wood and metal things you Lonely Creatures have? We don't have any of those..." Mossy pondered.

Looking around, if one looked closely something seemed odd about some of the passers-by. They seemed to be somewhat weakened, and very jittery and anxious. Some acted as if they were running from something, others glanced around fearfully every few seconds and seemed overall paranoid.

"Oh, there it is!" Stone announced, pointing out a small stone building among a string of others, one that had vines blooming with luminescent blue flowers creeping up its sides.

They slowly approached the house and opened the door. The sight that greeted them on the inside caused them to draw back. A Doppella stallion was lying on the floor. His faces showed unspeakable terror, their power gems turned as black as night, and they did not move.

"I-I don't know! I've never seen anything like this!" Mossy squeaked, startled.

Stone, a touch braver than his brother, looked at the stallion on the floor a bit closer.

"Hey... I think they're still breathing a little!" he exclaimed after a moment.

The poor stallion gave a weak jerky movement and a rasping moan lined with fright.

The stallion weakly lugged one of his heads upwards and gazed around, his shallow breathing raspy and his eyes pits of fear.

His power gem gave off a few dark-colored sparks of magic, and the stallion shrieked, gripped with terror. It soon paused, and he gazed helplessly at the group.

"F-fear.... Devours...." one head muttered before collapsing once again.

He moved no more, the breath gone from him.

"I-it must.... Some sort of magic corruption, maybe?" Mossy murmured frightenedly.

Stone nodded, his fear concealed behind confusion and shock. Mossy closed his eyes for a moment and gave a shuddering sigh.

"If the magic corruption is from a virus, we may not want to stay here long..." he said solemnly with an undertone of urgency.

"Magic corruption?!?.......Man,that's a horrible way to go" GoldDigger said. "should tell the elders about this?" He said apon hearing that they shouldn't stay long, GoldDigger was nervous because there was possible a virus going about but at the same time relieved that it was a sort of magic virus and he didn't have magic

((The wall is made of stone. How did you set it on fire?))

Mossy and Stone backed out of the doctor's home.

"Yes, we should definitely alert the elders of this!" Mossy said, beginning to panic a bit.

Stone remained oddly silent, and his gem did seem a little darker in color... However, nopony took much notice as they scrambled back to the pool.

"And we should probably be quick about it!" GoldDigger remarked slightly glancing at Stone as the group hurried back to the gathering pool, Stone's gem did seem a little darker in color but GoldDigger passed it off as his paranoia like he gets in situations like this

Stone shook his head and blinked a few times.

"Eh, w-what?" he mumbled dazedly, acting as if some predatorial creature lurked somewhere nearby.

Stone's power gem gave off a few involuntary sparks of magic.

"F-fine..." Stone stammered in a questioning tone that sounded as if he was unsure of whether he was fine or not.

He seemed to be growing increasingly wary of something, some invisible thing creeping up on them, something only he could see.
