Mane/Tail: His mane is Lilac colored with light blue highlights, his mane is kept stylishly short, his bangs coming to a stop right above the freckles on his forehead, and neatly sticks up in the back, his tail is straight however and hangs just a little below his back legs.

Physique: Very limber, slim, and toned, walking with a straight back and perfect posture at all times.

Residence: Manehattan

Occupation:Both an owner of a rather large boutique that caters rather exclusively to high ball clients,AND a full time hard nosed fashion critic, when he is not manning his store, he is off attending events to offer his views on the latest upcoming fashion designers work.

Cutie Mark: A few swatches of various fabrics, with a needle between them, around the patches there are sparkles.

History: Thimble was born in the lap of luxury, never knowing so much as a day of discomfort! His parents SilverTongue and Fashion Flash were both high end, and rich, with Silver Tongue being a food critic for the very best resturants in Manehattan, Canterlot, and all of Equestria, and Fashion Flash being a top notch designer, having some of her work being worn to galas and events all across Equestria! Neither were lacking in bits, or fame!

Thimble was thrust in the spotlight at a young age, but there was surprisingly no pressure on him to conform to his parents own goals, he was required however to attend a finishing school along with his regular schooling, because one of the upper crust should be above all else a gentleman. Thimble decided at a young age he wanted to be part of both of his parents worlds, rather enjoying watching his mother do her fashion work, and sometimes accompanying his father to restaurants to taste and critic the food.

It was one day that he'll never forget that helped him forge a ground in between the two! It was a day at Finishing School, and they all were asked to create a design, using nothing but bits and bobs around the sewing room! When they were done, each students work was brought forth for comment from the fellow students, nopony wanted to be impolite, and praised each others work highly, though none were very good due to there not being enough of any fabric to really pull together a work of art that flowed!

As he sat there listening to mindless praise, and insincere compliments, it was soon his turn to bring his piece up, and was unimpressed with the gushing he got, and one kid exclaiming "Wow such talent!"

That was ENOUGH! He stomped his hoof down, and let them know that it was NOT a work of talent! And that he couldn't take this flattery anymore, and that it would NOT hurt his feelings if they were honest with him, a few pained looks crossed his classmates face, but finally the truth came out, they criticized it as he wished, pointing out uneven stitching, the colors clashing and other flaws that he might not have noticed before but could see now, however they did this as gently as they could not wanting to be mean.

At the end of the critic he beamed and thanked them since NOW he could actually improve....and not a moment too soon as the quickly done together outfit fell apart at the seams(seems he forgot to tie the stitches properly!)

Since he had reacted so positively to criticism, a few students asked him to do the same, and Thimble's sharp eyes saw all the flaws, while not as gentle as their own critic he let them know what was and wasn't good about their work, but also gave suggestions on how to fix it, during his critic he didn't notice his flank flash, till one of his classmates pointed it out!

The Swatches representing both his first hodgepodge work, and his way to offer improvements, and the shiny, sparkling needle representing both his ability to be prickly but also helpful with his words!

As he grew he attended other schools, a proper fashion school, and even briefly attended Celestia's School of Gifted Unicorns, souly to better his technique! By the time he was a young stallion he was already climbing the social ladder! Attending fashion week, putting his work out there, and his critics were starting to be taken seriously!

With the aid of his parents he opened what started out as a small boutique, but over the years grew into a bustling and flourishing business, which he used to showcase other talents beside his own, mostly by (surprisingly) the very ponies who's works got scathing, or rather harsh reviews from him!

Character Summary: Thimble right off looks like a pushover, with his doe-y eyes, and seemingly gentle manner, not the type of pony that comes from Manehattan one might think! But under that sweet smile, kind words, and gentle posture beats the heart of a critic! Thimble is rather harsh with his truths, if someone's work is not up to par he will call them on it, many believe he does so to be mean but that is not the case! Thimble believes that a trial by fire is the best way, and if you cannot handle him you certainly would never be able to handle some of the bigger critics out there!

While his words cut they are always with the intention to help a pony(or griffon or whatever) better themselves and their work! Those that can stomach his critic will find that he does know what he is talking about, and in fact some of the ponies that had suffered scalding critics now work for him in his boutique, which is more like a large gathering of the who's who of fashion.

His store does not specifically peddle his own work, while his pieces take up a good chunk of his stock, many of the fashions, be they on display or for sale, are from his employees, as he is not one to stifle, and in fact is quite willing to lend a hoof up to anypony who needs it.

Work does seem to take up a bit of his life, but in his down time he is very kind, considerate, generous and a wee bit extravagant, picky, and wanting to feast on some of the best foods! However his idea of the best is not the same as a regular member of the upper crust, enjoying fresh, home grown ingredients, and love and care.

Despite a prickly persona, he is genuine with his goal to strengthen others that let him,climb up the social ladder, and to express himself the best way he knows how.
