[Manehatten] Off duty (Open)

((Open to all, limit one OC at a time, let's see how this goes))

The sun dawned on Equestria, as Celestia brought forth the Sun, beginning a new day. For other ponies elsewhere, they may be just lazily waking up, but not in Manehatten then weren't. The city never slept, even through the night, and onto the new day, there was always at least one pony awake. For Warp Sign, it was a day like any other in his Home Town. Lazily rise from bed, slouch over to the bathroom, and clean himself up, waking himself up with a few splashes of water to the face, then prepare to venture out into the city. Same old routine. A welcome change from marching through the rougher parts of Equestria on patrol. It was a well earned break, and his superiors knew it.

So here he was. Unlike other times, where he would've stayed behind in Canterlot, and stayed inside the library to study magic and refine his tome of spells, he needed a change of scenery. Canterlot, while it was a city, would never compare to Manehatten, his home where the bustling streets filled with ponies of all kinds, and where he knew most nooks and crannies. Okay then, let's not carry my tome, you lazy bum. At least enchant it for protection and self-detonation in case somepony decides to open it. Somehow. He forced himself to think. Celestia's sake, he hated mornings. Especially when he was off duty. Lazily waving his horn around and lighting it up to cast the spells, he shot his Tome with a few beams of magic, and it glowed for a second before returning back to normal. Right then, some coffee and a few nibbles before we venture out onto the streets. His mind screamed as sharp as his Drill Sergeant. But it his body's response was another story; a quickened crawl on all hooves downstairs.

Grabbing a cup and the pot of coffee with some magic, he poured himself coffee from the breakfast bar. He had opted to stay away from his parent's house this visit. Despite harbouring no ill-willed feelings about his parent's disapproval of Warp Sign joining the REA, it still usually turned into a lengthy argument that grew tiresome each time it happened. A proper, quiet, good, vacation in familiar ground was needed when in the span of the week his squad had subdued a pack of Timberwolves, a group of Diamond Dog bandits, and a Chimera. Somehow. No one was harmed. But he didn't care. Warp Sign just sat down, hunching his back as he drank his coffee slowly, watching the other patrons walk in and out of the dinning area. After a few minutes, he felt slightly more awake, but still sleepy. Maybe all I really need is that walk I wanted from the beginning of yesterday, darn Cider.

Putting his empty cup of coffee down, went back upstairs to get a satchel bag of important things, and then proceeded to walk outside into Manehatten. The scene that greeted him wasn't one of Manehatten's more prestigious districts, but rather somewhere in between, similar to how he spent his early ears prior to being shipped off to Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns. Now do I go to the library first? Or the markets? He thought to himself as he walked along the street. Surely he wouldn't bump into somepony as he walked to either one of the two places. Yet, even without looking into his Tome, Warp Sign's post heavy Cider drinking night usually left him scatterbrained enough to walk without paying attention to the things directly ahead.
