Picking Up the Pieces (Ended)

As the morning sun illuminated the town below and the ponies of Ponyville went about their day, a purple unicorn stallion slowly pulled a cart along the dusty road somberly like a funeral procession. The cart was empty save for a few tools like a crowbar and an axe, and that was just how he wanted it to offer the most space possible for the task. As he passed through town he could see that some of the houses and businesses still bore the scars of the battle between Princess Twilight Sparkle and Tirek.

"Even after years when these appear untouched the memory will still remain," he said as he continued his journey. This was something that he did not want to do by any means. He could have just let it go and hope that in time he would learn to forget. After all he had been through, he was glad to have a great opportunity, but this didn't erase the memory of that day forever. No, this was something he had to do, a closure on that chapter of his life or he was doomed to live with the pain of the memory.

The unicorn came to a stop as the cart's wheels made a creak. There in front of him were the shattered remains of his once proud home and bookstore, destroyed just like the Golden Oaks Library across the road.

"Welcome home," he said as he readied himself to start picking up the pieces, hoping that somepony may be there to help or if nothing else provide support.

Welcome to this thread that will conclude an important part in Lore Weaver's life. Be forewarned that this is going to be a thread filled with emotion.
