Moon spent most of his childhood wandering the streets of Canterlot, in search for food and shelter. He eventually got into the habit of staying awake at night, to make sure he wansn't seen by other ponies. But one night, while running through the streets, he (literally) ran into a pony: Princess Luna. She asked where his parents were, but Moon only shook his head. "I see," Luna said, picking up the filly and putting him onto her back. "Come with me," she said. She flew back to Canterlot Castle, and the next night, began his training. He was strong, and caught onto the fighting techniques quickly. (He earned his cutie mark not long after he started training, and his name was then changed to Blood Moon) He ended up training for years, and Luna was impressed. On his sixteenth birthday, he joined the Royal Guard, in charge of protecting the city at night. He eventually got a house on the edge of the city, but spends most of his time out guarding or in the castle.Personality: Moon doesn't talk much, and isn't very trusting of other ponies (besides Princess Luna) He is usually only awake at night, and can be cranky during the day. He is also loyal to Equestria and will do anything to protect itGear: He doesn't usually wear armor, only his Royal Guard outfit when he's on the job. He prefers fighting with a sword, and almost always has one with himPet's: He has a pet rat named Scout that has always followed him around since he was wandering the streets as a colt.
