Answering the call, Equestrian Comandos

Recommended Posts

Blackwing would be sitting down in a briefing room getting well, briefed on his newest assignment. Blackwing was a commando though not just any commando. He was probably one of the best soldiers in the whole Equestrian army. He and his partner Crow were the deadliest team they had. Whenever they needed somethign done right, Blackwing and Crow would be called up to the playing field. Thats what had happened right now. It was a hostage situation. Seven civilians, three soldiers and a judge. That was the hostage count, and it was what they were being sent in to take out and resolve. Blackwing would stay there, listening to the whole thing. The opposition they were being sent against would be tough, and as they were holding the hostages at gunpoint. They were going up against about two divisions, each with a odd twelve people in it. Most were armed with light arms such as assault rifles and handguns, though a few were also apparently using more heavy fire arms, such as LMG's. Blackwing would listen to this all, his emotionless face showed no hint that he was listening though he was. As he took all the info in Blackwing would just wonder, how easy would it be this time? As the briefing finished Blackwing would get up and walk out of the room. He was heading straight for the armory, they only had ten minutes to prepare before they headed out.

old crow, the buffalo.

she sat there with her partner Blackwing, in a way he ewas her best friend, sometimes his lack of emotion and comunication drove her crazy. but they had been thru so much togather that she couldn't imagine fighting without him

inside the armory she put on her vest, it was pre set up and had all her bandoleers and pouches in it. she grabbed her helmet and said

"you going to wear your kevlar? i don't want too."

Once they were inside the armory Blackwing would go straight to his locker. As he opened it he would see his special armor that was custom made. As he grabbed the chest part he would feel that it had no weight. It was custom made. It provided decent ballistic protection while not slowing him down at all. He would then grab his leggings, which were exactly the same. They provided ballistic protection while not slowing him down. After he had put on the armor, he would then walk towards the weapon locker. He knew that in this type of situation stealth would be the key, though he knew that crow would not be happy with that. He would walk and grab a RSASS with a hybrid scope. He would then grab a silencer and attach it to the barrel. After Black ahd taht he wou.d reach and grab two silencer Five Sevens. He would slide one into each holster on his leg, one on his right, one on his left. After that Blackwign would grrab some flashbangs and a breaching charge. As Blackwing 0put these items away, he would then reach for the last thing he needed, other then ammo. He would grab four Combat knives. He would slide two into his chest hosters, and then he would strap one onto each leg. All Blackwing had to do now was grab some spare ammo. He had ignored Crow's question, it was obvious his answer.

Crow really didn’t expect an answer, it was typical of him. Although she thought it was important to occasionally at least try and get him to say something. And to let him know that at least she cared about him.

As for the question of wearing a helmet, she slid on a balaclava impregnated with some magic weaving similar to Blackwings. She figured if she was going to be rolling around using stealth “agh” it would be more useful to have a full range of head motion.

Crow looked at her weapons inspecting them. she then picked up the heckler and kock 146. It was a smooth black painted weapon system based on the tried and true colt m4. But it had a piston firing system similar to the ak-47. The best of both worlds. It had the range that would make a mission like this be easy. She screwed a silencer onto the barrel. And put on an acog scope screwing it on, hoping it was still tuned. She also slid out the undermost hand guard and attached a fore grip that made is easier for her big buffalo hands. She stuffed her ammo pouch with magazines as well as her spare bag that was hanging off her hip with a few spare. Finished she adjusted the sling and let it drop to her side

She then picked up her custom 1911, and screwed on a silencer. It already had a flashlight attached to the barrel giving it a box like appearance.

Then finally she looked at both the t.m.p or the mp7. She went with the tmp because she figured there would be 9 mm ammo lying around in the mission making it possible to refill her magazine if worse came to worse.

Once everything was tightened on ready to go she got her night vision goggles, binoculars with thermal vision. 2 frag grenades 2 flash grenades. A gps system. Her emergency satellite com. Her medical supplies and her tomahawk. A slightly modern version of the weapon of her people the tomahawk was a small handheld axe with a polymer handle with an ergonomic grip and a triangular blade made out of carbon steel. It was a useful weapon, anything you could do with a knife, you could do with a tomahawk and more, cutting down trees for example. She also stuffed some c-rations wherever she had free space. She was a buffalo and ate a lot, not to mention they didn’t know how long they were going to be there

One last thing she grabbed was her long decorated wooden pipe and some tobacco that was grown on her reservation by her cousin. She put hid it away with a smile and stood on the door way feeling her recently filed down horns

“ready when you are, Blackwing. Need anything else or are we heading straight to the zone?”

Blackwing would not put a helmet on, instead he would grab a pair of sunglasses, though these were not normal ones, no. The sunglasses had built in Night vision and thermal for if he needed it. He would then grab some rations before he grabbed the door of his locker to close it, though he saw something. He decided not to bring it this time, though he had to remember about it. Blackwing would leave the crystal bow there as he closed the locker and looked towards Crow. He was no fool, he had seen the pipe, though he chose to ignore it. It was not his buisness, why but in. Blackwing would then grab a parachute off the wall and threw it to Crow. "Use it" He would say as he walked towards the door out of the armory. He had all he needed, even a way in.

crow caught the parachute and slipped it on her back.

jokingly she said "i was hoping if were were falling you could catch me and i could just ride on your back."

she walked with him. she was a bit upset about this mission, hostages always make things harder. physically, tatically and emotianally.

they headed straight to the helio walking thru the hallways of the base. when they got outside there a car was waiting for them, it was a short drive to the flightline where there helicopter was being prepared. she got in her vehicle and said

"wanna come or are you going to fly?"

Blackwing would see the chopper, and he would also hear the question he was asked. In truth, Blackwing did not feel like flying this trip. He would then climb into the chopper, taking a seat in the back. He knew that this would be very annoying, probably due to the hostages. They always got in the way, and Black had known some incidents when they were the reason the mission failed, what with them panicking and running into the line of fire. He would wait for them to take off, knowing that this was goign to be a boring op.

"High above" He would say, stating the hight that he wanted to be taken too. If they saw this chopper, it would be taken out of the sky in seconds, if they didnt see it then, obviously, they should stay in the air.

Crow nodded at her silent partner, and walked to the front a they took off.

"thanks for the ride." she said to the pilot trying to make conversation.

"hey i see you got your halo jump wings, you fly anything other than choppers?"

she leaned on the seat looking out the front window over the pilots shoulder

Blackwing would be silent the whole trip. He would not pay much attention to the convosation in the front, he had to reason too. His only thoughts were that he hoped they got these hostages out in time. He would hear the pilot start to talk about some stuff, though he would just ignore it. He would just take out his current mag, and make sure it was filled up. After that he would put it back in his sniper before he lied back and waited for the ride to end.

"No problem, and yeah, i fly all sorts of aircraft. I fly gunships, planes of all sorts, basically anything that flies" The pilot would say back to Crow. "The names Scootaloo" She would say as she flew the chopper higher and towards there drop zone.

Crow smiled and replyed

"nice to meet you Maim. thats pretty cool i once had to take the wheel of a ch-56 hellio during a mission, noo thanks that stuffs too hard for my brain!" Crow chuckled and looked back at Wing

"so um our call sighn will be uhh lets see here ill be pokey, short for pochahontus. and he'll be santa, you know santa claws, because he's a griffon! what should we call you?"

When Crow assigned him a call sign, Blackwing would look at him. "No" He would say. The 'Santa claws' joke was not very good, it was actually really bad. Blackwing could not be bother to get a better call sign, but as long as it was not something like that. His face would show no emotion as he said "Black raven" He would say, deciding on his call sign.

Scoot would chuckle a bit when she was called maim. "No need for 'maim' crow, just call me scoot" She would say as she reached the altitude they wanted to be at. She had always enjoyed flying these thigns, and now that she had friends for the trip, that made it all more worthwhile. "Whats your specialty?" Scoot would ask

“HOLLY CRAP! He said more than a one word sentence! I think that’s the first time!”

said Crow amazed she then nodded “o.k pokey and raven.”

She answered scootaloo’s question

“I’m trained as a commando and I specialize in rifleman, alongside demolitions. Commandos gotta be able to do it all and we just go off what we like best. But yeah shooting things and explosion. I also do medical so yeah.”

Knowing blackwing wouldn’t reply she said

“blackwing is a stealth and infiltration guy. Sniping and aerial ops mostly. We make a good team.”

Blackwing would stay silent, though in his mind thoughts were goign around. Stealth and infiltration, sniping and aerial ops? They were some of his speciialtys, though he is also very skilled in a fire fight and probably the one of the best at CQC combat. Blackwing would keep this to himself though, no need to say it. Crow knew, she was probably just leaving it out because she wanted too.

"Sounds like it, little ying yang thing. I am more of a light arms specialist, mainly in pistols and smg's" Scoot would say to Crow.

"With anyone elses flying, maybe a odd ten. With mine, about three" Scoot would boast, being very proud of her flying skills as well as the fact that, in truth, they actually were that far off.

"nice" said crow as she took some steps back.

she was still a bit shocked by how much blackwing had just spoken but was focused on the mission non the less

"well i better get ready then." she said as she slung her rifle and began to prepare her parachute

"im glad we got you scootaloo. ok wing you ready?"

Scoot would grin as she saw Crow start to get ready to drop. "Il meet you at the extraction zone, please make it there. I dont want to lose my new passengers" And with that she would stop the helicopter as they reached there drop zone.

Blackwing would, the moment they arrived, grab his RSASS and sling it around his body. When crow asked if he was ready, all he would do was look at her. Did she even need to ask?. Blackwing would then look back towards the outside of the chopper as he leapt out of it, starting to skydive downwards.

(Soz, had a blackout)

Crow did a short salute to scootaloo and said "thanks for the ride, well call keep you updated, stay safe!"

then follwed blackwing into the air.

it was dark out and hard to tell exactly how far from the ground you were, but you could tell you were falling fast!

after doing some spins and tricks, Crow pulled her chute and felt the harness grab her and suspender her in the air. she steered herself to the ground and with a smack landed on the dirt. she detached the line and pulled out her weapon.

"allright blackwing lets do this. ill take front."

As Blackwing neared the ground he would do a summersault as he started to drop straight down. He would do this close to the ground, and when he was realy close he would just flap his wings to stop his decent and to land perfectly. Blackwing would, once he landed, pull out his RSASS and aim down the scope. He was using the red dot of the hybrid scope. When Crow said she would take point Blackwing would just nod.

Old crow bounded forward, then took a closer look at the trees.

blackwing, this is an artificial forest, you can tell by the tree spacing, that means we got a urban area close bye. they'll have some money which means local security systems and quick alarms” She said as she walked up a hill. Once on top sure enough not to far away was a large suburb with many small huts.

Crow laid prone and pulled out her binoculars

“see anything she asked blackwing as she scoped the area out?

Blackwing would look around, he could tell that the forest was fake though he was still glad she had pointed that out. Blackwing would then follow Crow as she moved towards a elevated position. Once Sky was there he would go prone as he aimed down the sniper scope as he started looking around the area.

He could see no hostages yet, though already he could see a dozen people. Four in one house, two in a tower, two on the streets, one having a smoke next to the house, one on a roof, and two sitting in chairs sleeping."Dozen tangos" Blackwing would say as he shifted his scope to the one having a smoke. No others could see him. Blackwing would line the scope up with his head and then aim a bit higher before firing the shot. All that Crow and Blackwing would hear was a silent sound as the bullet left the barrel and slammed into the terrorists head, taking him out instantly.

"right"

crow got off her stomach and crept down the hill towards the town.

if all goes well she would be able to find the hostages and get them to scoots before the enemyies even knew what happened.

"if the great spirit does anything for limited engagment"

she said under her breath as she hopped over a wooden fence into a backyard.

she let her assault riffle fall on her sling and pulled out her pistol instead wanting a shorter weapon for what was up ahead

Blackwing would keep looking through the scope, trying to see if there was any threats. He would see Crow moving in. Blackwing would keep his scope on her, making sure she was clear.
