"It's a long trip, so we better be prepared. I just hope the place doesn't have any shadow creatures crawling around in it's ruins." Venom said, ready to go.

"Shouldnt, last I heard there were survivors from the mysterious attacker they had. Hopefully they'll be helpful to us." Oakly said spreading out his wings, "How far you can teleport us from here?"

"Probably to the edge of the forest. Get close." Venom said as he lit his horn. Suddenly they were at the edge of the forest in which Vampireece was hidden.

Oakly scratched his chin, "Lets see, forests around Vampireece; timberwolves, manticores, giants, bears, ....." "Werewolves." "Yeah that too, thanks." Oakly raised an eyebrow, then looked to his right. "Welcome.... Dîck." A middle aged man leaning against a tree starred at them with beastly black lined yellow eyes, he had long black hair tied in a pony tail with a scar over his nose, he was well built and taller than both of them, also he didnt have a shirt on. Oakly frowned, "Rude."

Venom glared at the strange man gripping his weapons at his sides. "Do you need something? We don't have time to waste making small talk."

"No not really, just watching these two idiots make fools of themselves." He said with a smirk. Oakly gritted his teeth in a growl, "Watch it pal we'll kick your sorry butt from here to china if you dont shut up and leave." The man scoffed, "Please dont me laugh, your not even worth my time." He said waving them off and leaving.

Venom rolled his eyes. "C'mon Oak, forget him. We have to get to Vampireece."

Oakly groaned but went on with Venom into the forest.

Tavi walked outside her house locking the door behind her, she glanced around then started for the Castle. Roseline peaked out from behind a wall, "What are you hiding Sweetheart?" Minutes later she crawled into Tavi's bedroom through the top floor window, she fell down knocking her head on a desk, "Ow dammît that hurt!" She complained rubbing her head, she suddenly froze, she slowly turned her head looking at the bed. There under the covers tucked in comfortably with a wet towl over his head , was Trax. Roseline starred in amazement, excitement and happiness overwhelming her with joy, "Oh Traxy your alive!" She squealed carefully hugging him, she then noticed the horrorable feeling, his soul.... Was gone. Roseline tightened her fists angrily, "Nergal you insufferable pile of waste, how could you do this to my sexy ray of blue eyed handsomness?!" She wined hopelessly on her knees as she leaned over Trax. "Well this is interesting, whats the Captain of the Elite Nightwatch branch doing with the Prophet of the Blood Moon order in her bed? My my, this one way to spell out Star crossed lovers."

"Did you hear about what happened to this place when King Bloodline got assassinated?" Venom asked as they proceeded through the forest.

"It was all the teachers talked about, appearently a batpony who was exiled came back and just went nuts on the city."

"They say the whole city is gone, and almost everybody is dead. If that's true then I wonder why we were sent here? Maybe people still live here." Venom said as the forest around them got slightly darker.

Oakly flickered his eyes keeping alert, "Who knows, I hear we haven't made contact with them for awhile since the messangers are killed before they reach the city. Apparently theres supposed to be a team of batponies who escort them to the city, that was their only way of communicating with the outside world. Which begs the question, whats so dangerous that the messangers need a batpony escort?"

"Who knows? The bat ponies are a mysterious race." Venom said as they suddenly came upon a large and long tunnel made from thorns. "Well...looks like we found the entrance."

Oakly glanced behind them, "Then lets get a move on, this forest gives me the creeps."

"For real." Venom said agreeing as he entered the tunnel of vines and thorns.

Oakly glanced one more time at the forest before following behind Venom, on the other side they emerged into a clearing where an enormous black stone wall and gate lay before them. "Well, I can see why Vampireece was never raided before, that shît looks scary."

Venom approached the massive yet old and battered gate hesitantly. "This is literally the last place I would want to go, but we still have a job to do." He said, gently pushing the gate.

Oakly took a step then froze as he heard the faint sound of loosening rope, "Venom wait!-" But it was too late as both of then were suddenly strung up into the air by a rope around their legs, Oakly swung around facing a silvery long haired man, he felt the cold steel of his blade slice a little cut on his cheek. The man stood tall with fur tipped ears and a dark purple horn, he had bright green eyes and a scar over his lips, "State your name and why you've come here, if you do not comply I will not hesitate to kill you." He told them sternly in thick arabic accent. Three other cloaked figures appeared around them all drawing their blades and pointing them at the young pair, Oakly was impressed by their stance and posturing, way better formed than the Nightwatch.

Venom struggled to free himself, but found it was useless. He looked at the hooded figures upside down. "We are not here to harm you, we were sent here to find something." He said, trying to avoid telling them directly that they were Bloodmoon, not knowing what it could lead to.

The silver haird man didnt budge and kept his blade in Oaklys face, "Wrong answer." He said lighting up his horn, Oakly felt a tremor down his spine, "Oakly!" He said quickly, the silver haired man stopped his spell and lowered his blade, Oakly glanced around seeing the others do the same, "My name is Oakly, and this is Venom, we're friends of Echo Nightflower." He said hastily using his aunts Name since she was a bat pony from Vampireece. The silver haired man raised his eye brow, suddenly Oakly and Venom were dropped down on their heads, Oakly sat up rubbing his head. "How do you know that name?" The silver haired man asked sternly, Oakly stood up carefully and slowly, "She's my auntie, not biologically shes just really good friends with my mother." He replied back trying to keep his composure, the sliver haired man narrowed his eyes then smiled as he sheathed his sword, the others followed suit. "My name is Shade Lock, you must be Octavia Melody's son. Last time I saw you, you were a little tiny colt, on a visit here when your mother performed for the King. Echo is my sister, guess that makes me your uncle." Shade said with a more enthusiastic tone, Oakly was wide eyed in suprise, he knew his mother was connected but this is crazy.

Venom got back to his feet. "Anyways, we aren't here to cause any harm. We were sent here to find something. I'm not sure what, but our quest led us here."

"A quest? I had assumed your mother would have put you into the Nightwatch Academy, apparently I'm missing something here, am I right?" Shade asked rubbin his chin. Oakly grew tense, and just sighed deeply, "There was a complication, and now we are fugitives of Equastria, even more so now that we are members of the Blood Moon Order." Shade raised an eyebrow and glanced between them, "The Bloodmoon Order? My my how you've grown, I guess it was only a matter of time before you followed in His footsteps. Well come along, we can talk over dinner." He said turning around and heading into the city. "Wait what?-" Oakly began but the other Batponies pushed them forward to follow Shade.
