Mane: Rarity's mane is a mixture of a light/moderate Indigo that in the shadowed parts of her mane is seen as a darker indigo and a soft shade of blue violet.
Tail: Her tail follows the same color patter as her Mane.

Physique: Rarity is a slender pony who is in quite good shape despite her very seldom working out or maintaining a healthy regiment.

Residence: Rarity currently lives and works in Carousel Boutique in Ponyville. However she can often be found in the Royal Castle of Ponyville.

Occupation: Rarity has a few jobs on her list. The first being a seamstress and fashion designer. She also is part of the 'Pony Tones' being one of their soprano singers. She was also a Summer Mentor for H.O.O.F. and a program mentor to Charity Sweetmint.

Cutie Mark: Rarity's Cutie Mark is that of three Blue Lozenge Diamonds arranged with two to the left of the third. With one sitting just above the other two.

Cutie Mark Story: Rarity was in a slump when she was looking for inspiration for the local Ponyville school play. The costumes that she had first made just didn't seem right and she couldn't put a hoof on what was wrong. Her horn was supposed to be what lead her to her destiny, or so she thought, but little did she know that it would actually be true. A few days before the play Rarity's horn came a-glow and dragged her towards a huge bolder, or so it seemed, it wasn't until Rainbow Dash's Sonic Rainboom split the bolder in half to reveal a whole plethora of gems inside that Rarity’s eyes began to glow anew. She used the gems to jazz up the costumes for the play and when the audience saw the costumes and the play they were in awe giving their admiration towards Rarity for her fine craftsmanship and earning her her cutie mark.

Unique Traits: Rarity possesses a plethora of unique traits. Some of the most notable being her unwavering Generosity which is represented in her being the Element of Generosity. She is a one of a kind mare who has an exceptional taste in style and fashion. Her work with a needle is also something that is awe inspiring. Among the ponies she knows Rarity has one of the most unusually intense creativeness.

History: Rarity was born in Ponyville to a happily married Unicorn couple. Even at a young age Rarity knew that she loved fashion and the 'high society.' She started out by working on the school play as an outfitter. She made some of the most amazing costumes for the play only to have something missing from them, this is where her Cutie Mark made its appearance in her life. Rarity's talent was made more apparent later in her years when she begins to make her own lines of clothing at the Carousel Boutique. She met, at the time non-princess, Twilight Sparkle one faithful day in Ponyville and almost instantly became friends with her. In her eyes she felt the two of them bonding over Fashion and had even convinced Twilight that she should go with a new mane and tail style or perhaps even dye her coat! It wasn't until much later in her time with Twilight that she would discover that she was the Element of Generostiy after cutting off her own tail to give it to a grieving Sea Serpent who had his glorious mustache cut by Nightmare Moon. With her love of design and fashion behind her she would successfully turn her friends into runway models. At the Grand Galloping Gala she meets “Prince” Blueblood. She hopes that she had just found her ticket into the royalty of Canterlot but it turns out that he is just a jerk to her and ruins her whole image of what real royalty is. She starts a musical group called the Ponytones with Big Mac, Fluttershy, and two other muscially inclined ponies. They suffer through a few shows together only to find out that Fluttershy wants to sing but not to a large crowed. But not taking this to heart to this day Rarity still makes dresses and finds time to put on fashion shows and even to still sing with the Ponytones.

Character Summary/Personality:

Rarity's parents aren't that much alike to her. Both having a very carefree attitude and a 'go with the flow' mentality making it hard for Rarity to get along with them for extended periods of time.
Her little sister Sweetie Belle has caused Rarity to not only grow deeper as a pony but allowed her to connect with what felt lost to her. When not with the Cutie Mark Crusaders Rarity likes to spend some quality sister time with Sweetie Belle.

Rarity has one pet, a cat named Opalescence. A rather grumpy cat of sorts, Rarity still finds her presence to be calming and a refreshing part of the day. It also helps that Opalescence keeps your hooves warm at night!

Rarity seeks a high quality of life in everything that she does, whether it be in the form of her Fashion Design or her friendship with the Mane Six. She tries to keep everything in her presence at a worthy level. Her strict scrutiny for detail is matched throughout every aspect of her life. Her feelings for her friends are very passionate and caring. She might come across as clingy to ponies who don't know her but once they get to know her they see its more of a fear of losing those ponies that she holds close.

Rarity is always trying to be the best, whether it is in the form of her dress making, fashion design, or her singing. This also makes it so that Rarity seeks the spot light. She is always trying to get that number one trophy, that blue ribbon. But its not just enough for her to succeed, she blossoms the most when her friends or Sweetie Belle are also doing well. Her friends are all in all what keeps her on the track she is now, with them close by her side Rarity feels that there isn't anything that she couldn't get done.

Rarity wants to be the best dress maker in all of Equestria as well as being one of the most well known Fashion Designers. On top of that she also tries to keep her singing voice up to par with other ponies of note in the music culture. As in her high standards of life, Rarity looks for a special somepony who can match her passion and creativity. Rarity desires the best of life, and refuses to settle for less than she deserves. She wants to be the very best, like no pony ever was.

Rarity is friends with the Mane Six and is often times around them. Now more so then ever with their new castle in Ponyville and their need to help with Friendship issues all over Equestria. She values all of her friends extremely high, to the point that she would do most anything for anyone she called a friend of hers.

Rarity's strengths are in the fact that she pays such fine care to the small details, making the big picture look gorgeous and a sight to behold. She is a great singer, knows her way around a sewing kit, and can even turn hotel items into a fashion show ensemble.

However with all the above mentioned strengths it puts note to her flaws. While paying attention to the small details on things causes her to often lose sight of what the big picture actually is. Or what it was supposed to be. She loves gems, often putting an internal struggle with herself about what to do with them. There is several times that she is asked by Spike if he could have some gems, she hesitates with this before ultimately giving him the gems. But this shows that there could be bounds to her Generosity.
