Also, the shifters have similar coloring to Cerali, because I have a headcanon that a changeling's basic color scheme is determined by what queen they follow

personality: Kind and understanding, slow to anger, but when they do snap they do so spectacularly. they're usually quite cheerful, and do their best to make those around them feel comfortable

On Queen Cerali: for several reasons I'd rather not actually decide her personality, but these are some things I would think about.  If her hive is in Equestria, presumably it was in hiding as well at least until Chrysalis made her move.  After the Canterlot invasion, would Cerali want to try and keep her subjects hidden, indicating a more cautious approach, or would she reach out to Equestria, indicating either a tendency for diplomacy or decisive action?

If her hive is not in Equestria, where is it?  And what attitude might that region either necessitate or encourage?

Also, Chrysalis arguably also only wanted what was best for her subjects, she just had a very aggressive way of going about it.  How does Cerali plan to feed her subjects long term?

 

On the name for the alicorn, I'm not sure precisely what I'd pick, but some ideas are: Verse (borrowing from universe or multiverse), Veil, making reference to the idea of spaces between.  Something referencing balance, or physics, or some such.

 

And as an aside, is there any particular reason why you've used that naming convention for ponies?  Usually the name has something to do with their special talent.

I just came up with names, without rhyme or reason. they sounded nice, so I used them. also, thanks for the advice!
