A Pegasus With Vacation Time (Closed: Lyi and FireFoxx)

It was a fine day in Ponyville, the sun shining warmly upon the settlement. Out enjoying the day was a cobalt blue Pegasus stallion by the name of Silverbolt. He was smiling broadly at a slip of paper and knickering at the text. It was a letter confirming his application for vacation. "About time I got my vacation approved.", he said to himself as he stashed the letter into his saddlebag.

He trotted along, whistling to himself before coming to a stop at the center of town. He didn't know what to do next. He had half a mind to go back to Cloudsdale had just nap the days away but he also wanted to go someplace new. "Decisions, decisions...", he muttered before adjusting the goggles over his eyes.

Wing Jammer swooped through the air, enjoying the feeling of flight. It hadn't been that long ago that she had been injured and unable to fly. Though she would never be able to complete the extreme flight techniques she used to, she was still not a bad flyer. The fuchsia colored mare soared over the outskirts of Ponyville. Below her was Sweet Apple Acres. She had always enjoyed flying over the farm, especially when there was an apple crop on the trees. She could see the sweet and delicious apples resting on the boughs of the trees. Fall was such a nice time of year and since she had a couple days off coaching, she actually had time to enjoy herself!

"What to do, what to do?" She muttered softly to herself as she continued her flight.

Below her now was the center of Ponyville. The quaint town was one of her favorite places in all of Equestria. She decided to swoop in for a landing in town center.  There were lots of ponies out today, most of them looking busy. They were trotting here and there, going in and out of shops. She was almost ready to take off again when a cobalt blue stallion was caught in her gaze. He seemed like he might be getting ready for a flight. She wondered if perhaps he knew of somewhere fun to fly that she hadn't been to yet. She trotted up and smiled as he adjusted his goggles.

"Hi! I was just noticing you look like you've spent time flying around here. I've been looking for somewhere fun to fly. Any suggestions?" She didn't mind being a bit forward, most ponies were really friendly in Ponyville.

Steam Metal: Work Uniform

Steam sighed as she stepped off her personal chariot.  She signaled the "drivers" away, sighing once more.  The air was fresh and crisp, the sky blue and gold; all the city seemed abuzz with happy activities and pleasant chores, ponies galloping to and fro; the ground was moist and soft, the grass as green as green could be.  Life shimmered across the arena of Ponyville-and she sighed.  Everywhere and everything, all the time...it was there.  It was there when she played with her friend's filly, their high smiles barely hiding its presence.  It was their on her last birthday, a solemn silence across the jubilant celebrations.  It was there when she donated the cheque to the Big Sisters of Equestria Organization; there when she chatted with her family; there when she re-connected with her brother; there...when her mother died.  She shook the feeling off, this is no time to mess over your own disastrous feelings, Steam.  But yet, it was there-watching her like a hawk in the sky: The feeling that called her analyse, and justify.  Her business sense.

She noted a blue Pegasus trotting into the center of the town.  She noticed the goggles draped over his head.  She noted the cheerful, carefree way he walked and moved along.  Correction-moved aboutPonies that moved along had somewhere to go, had a direction; ponies that moved about had no destination in particular.  They were happy and content, free as a bird.  These ponies were few where she had come from.  The tight, upright streets of Canterlot bore none, and neither Manehattan, Hoofington, nor Baltimare consisted of these ponies.  They were a lucky choice for a community, an optimistic addition to any situation.

She saw a fushia mare, her mane long and wings free.  Just like the other Pegasus, she looked...happy.  Oh, but she wasn't moving about, she was moving along.  She wanted something to do, somewhere to go.  Not in a rushed, bad manner; in a chippy, energetic way.  Bordering on boisterous.  She stared at the mare for a second, nothing special pointing to her mind.  This mare was indifferent, not trying to particularly stand out or be "the one" like other mares she had seen in the big cities.  This mare was cool, calm, and confident with herself.  Confident...

No!  Stop it, Steam!  You're doing it again-analysing and judging other ponies!  STOP!  Steam bit her lip, deciding that she needed someplace to get some 'lax and rest.  Some place to chill where her mind wouldn't keep wandering with it around.  Someplace like...

"Hey!  Anypony know where the spa is?"
