He was a minion who was forced to work for Tirek (the real bad guy). He was actually a prince, but Tirek turned him into some creature. He threatened to kill Spike (yes, THE Spike) if Tirek didn't continue to work for him.Technically, Scorpan did go on a raid to Dream Castle to capture ponies for Tirek, but he was never evil at all.
