ShadowMage Posted November 9, 2011 Report Posted November 9, 2011 Alright, I've looked about on the forums, and I can't seem to find any answer. When I click the "Chat" link just below the Canterlot banner at the top, it takes me to a dull-grey page with a "Get ADOBE FLASH PLAYER" button/link. I've already clicked this once, though I was pretty sure I had installed it. I installed successfully; Firefox opened up, showing the little Flash Movie to prove that it had installed and was working.I go back to the chat page and it remains unchanged. Can anyone help?
Xiee Posted November 10, 2011 Report Posted November 10, 2011 Hmmm, I do know there's an issue with the chat using IE, but since you already tried Mozilla. That's quite odd. Can you try using Mibbit and see if that can get you to the chat? Once you are on mibbit just launch the app and then for the server its Esper and the chatroom is #CanterlotCentral.

Xiee Posted November 10, 2011 Report Posted November 10, 2011 I tried logging in with the chat on the forum and it seems to work fine. I'm using Mozilla too. Perhaps you could try reinstalling Mozilla?
ShadowMage Posted November 10, 2011 Author Report Posted November 10, 2011 I tried upgrading to the newest version, and that didn't seem to do anything. Perhaps uninstalling and a fresh reinstall would work, or maybe even restarting the computer. Some things I'll likely try tomorrow.

This link appears to work.

Skye Posted November 10, 2011 Report Posted November 10, 2011 If you are using Noscript, make sure you allow Canterlot and Mibbit. The chat is mibbit-based now and should be working. If you have troubles, try clearing your cache completely and see if that resolves it.
