Celia was one of the most promising members of the family with her singing talent. She was very selfish and uncaring, all the things that rich fillies tended to be. It seemed that she was going to be the next rising star of the Andantino family and everyone around her knew it. Celia earned her cutie mark young, as one of the first in her class. At the first concert she appeared in, despite taking a small role as a backup singer, Celia's talent for singing was revealed. Her mother and father -Vivace and Larg- had expected nothing less from an Earth Pony of their family. However, on the night of the big concert that was certain to cement her place in the world of music, a unicorn who had been scorned by the Andantino family cursed Celia to have a terrible singing voice. The curse made it so that she would be forced to sing rather than talk from that day forth. The concert was a disaster, with Celia being laughed off the stage. As a result, Celia decided to leave Manehatten to avoid the shame of her curse. She abandoned the Andantino name and became known by the name Wrong Note. It humbled her greatly, resulting in her casting away her old ways and starting to appreciate others. She travelled for several years before settling into Hoofington. She ended up working at the bait shop merely as a way to make ends meet, but she has developed more of an interest in the ways of Hoofington and appreciates its importance to the residents of the town.. Her personality has done a huge turn around since leaving Manehatten. The curse has remained, but she has come to appreciate strength of character and attributes such as kindness and generousity rather than beauty or wealth. She still tries to discover a way to break her curse, though her grudge against the unicorn who cursed her has faded away. Wrong Note sees that without that event, she would have never been able to mature like she has, but she still wants to regain a normal method of communication with other ponies. For this purpose, she goes out to the docks of Hoofington to sing each night, hoping that it may break her curse. Wrong Note's socialite tendencies have mostly disappeared from her life, though they appear in burst, causing her to be cold and callous at times. She is also very self-conscious due to her past experiences and often stays away from friendships until she knows the pony in question very well.Overall, her experiences ended up transforming her into a determined, capable, and ultimately very different mare from the stuck up, privileged Celia Andantino. BlindJester
However, on the night of the big concert that was certain to cement her place in the world of music, a unicorn who had been scorned by the Andantino family cursed Celia to have a terrible singing voice. The curse made it so that she would be forced to sing rather than talk from that day forth. This part confuses me a bit, so does she still sing terrible instead of regularly talking or has that part of the curse worn off?Does she have any goals? How did she end up working at a baiting shop? Has she tried to figure out how to break her curse? Does she /want/ to break her curse? How does she feel towards the unicorn who cursed her? (i.e. Somewhat grateful that because of him she learned to see life from a new view or resentment because he destroyed her glamours life? etc.) All in all I think this is a wonderful app
Neoniie
Alright, I've tried to make the terms of the curse a bit clearer and incorporate BlindJester's suggestions. I wasn't sure how a character like this would go down (character app acceptance wise with the whole curse thing), but I guess she's doing well. brianblackberry
Chatted with the rest of staff over the curse and we felt it was acceptable as it was rather minor. For Great Justice!
