Golf course in Equestria?

Well, I think Golf is sorta canon since we have Tennis and Bowling. An idea for an app came to mind while I was enjoying playing an online casual MMO golf game with a few canterlot peeps (Dessa, Estie, Skye, Starburst). A golf pony! I sorta wanted him/her to manage a golf course, and since golf is more of an "elitist's" game (but of course its gonna be open to anypony) I thought it would be ideal to have a golf course in Canterlot, or at least outside in the outskirts of Canterlot. So a few things came up to my mind.

1. If there was to be a golf course in Canterlot, I'd have to figure out if it was privately run by a corporation or if it was a public golf course run by the Equestrian Government.

2. I'd somehow had to apply in the lore section about said golf course.

3. The design of the said golf course, since Canterlot is on a hillside, its possible to have a golf course on a hillside. I can probably design a few holes to give an idea on how it roughly looks like.

So, what do you guys think? Any input or suggestions?

Remember, the world is key, and there's probably a way to interperse the lore with the course. It could be one of the best golf courses on the planet, honestly.

Like, "Please make a 200 yard drive over this gaping chasm down to the crashing waves 80 feet below to the green that's out on that peninsula over there, then take the long way around to actually reach the green."
