To my Fellow Equines, I say hello! =D

Man, where the heck do I start? XD

Yup, fellow Bronie here, just kinda fell into this whole crazy shebang a little while ago and realised that it was more addictive than coffee and pretty much any non-lethal addictive edible substance in existance.

I also realised that:

A: Fluttershy is the cutest darn thing to ever exist in animated form. Ever.

B: Derpy Hooves, whilst being an overused occurance, is a character I WANT to stay as the 'nearly-almost' cameo character who should at some points during various episodes just be the constant source of screwups...

So yeah, my point is that she really doesn't need to be hugely canon to be awesome...just continually well-managed.

C: It IS possible to enjoy a show from a series you personally could never have cared for just mere years ago.

D: That I must Spread Brony'ism throughout my contacts...people must know of this awesome! =D

I'm not particularly bothered by those who've been against the show - people will hate this for being what it is, but why should that make a difference to anything? The show is still consistantly awesome, the world still turns, and I'm still happy enough to be a part of the interestingly-quickly spreading wildfire of awesome ponyism, along with everyone I've had a chance to talk to who also enjoys this. Lauren faust could probably be one of the best Childrens TV writers of this current decade...!

And now, obligitory thoughts of each character in the main party of 7 {Inc Spike}

Twilight: Loveable student, although easily overlooked because of how vanilla she can be in comparison to the others.

Fluttershy: Cute bundle of D'aaaaw and win - How can ANYPONY hate this shy softspoken l'il Pegasus Minx?

Applejack: Gotta love the southern accent and mannerisms...the perfect Texan-style Filly!

Rainbow Dash: Brash, Bold, Intense and freakin' awesome - Gotta love the rainbow-haired Pegasus speed demon of the sky!

Rarity: Always making sure she looks good, this is one Unicorn who knows that being an artist of fashion isn't an easy task.

Pinkie Pie: Bouncy, full of life, neon-pink Ball of energy and laughter, although I DID Read Cupcakes. still love her to bits though!

Spike: Who can't love the small little witty dragon and his cute crush on Rarity...and of course, loyal friend of Twilight!

...Oh, and I loves me some Derpy too. :3

Well, hey - this has to be one of my longer posts for an intro - but I just kinda felt it just because the whole vibe of the show is just such an interesting little thing to dicuss and enjoy. { Still can't believe I love a show in the My Little Pony franchise. XD; }

I guess that's all I need to say for now - you guys can call me Rob, and you can expect me to 'Horse' around here for a while.

Well, Hopefully past season 1 at least. XD;

Take it easy, Fillies and GentleStallions! :mrgreen:

Welcome to the Equestria Boards Rob :3

I fully condone well written-informative posts of substance! Its refreshing when i get to read something that has obvious passion written into it; and I feel like I can understand and relate to (I do!) your deep soul-ful need for ponies.

As for getting started here, once your up to 5+ posts, the rest of the board will open up for you to post in. Until then, you can search out other new users and welcome them, or tell us more about yourself, your hobbies, or your particular involvements in the fandom; or just how badly waiting for the next episode to come out makes you feel like your going to pee yourself- after that you can post in any of our other numerous sections of the board with the exception of RP.

We're currently overwhelmed with the big influx of new users, and have very temporarily suspended new apps for characters to RP- but this just means that now is the perfect time to plan out your character, and familiarize yourself with the application process so that when we accept them again, you'll be ready to go!

There are some useful links in my signature below you can use to reach our rules page (a nice read over coffee and a bagel by our lovely Ashi), and to the Equestrian Characters board, where you can find nifty and thrifty (free!) resources to help you on your way to making your own character to RP.

If you have any questions, be sure to let me know!

Welcome to the herd :3

Well, I gotta admit - those ponies drive me to post! 8D

Currently have something of a Pony divide at a board I go to - similar to that of 'those other boards' that we all know have something of a divide going on also. Although how can they also not allow a little joy into their lives?

I mean, It worked with Robot Unicorn Attack! :3

I'm also a part of a slowly-growing MLP Mini RP we're doing as a general adventurous romp before we plan a more elaborate {Non pony} Group RP mission later this year...and already we have a strong feeling that this is a special little fun thing to enjoy and have fun with...but discussions are ongoing about a big bad - we have a few in cold storage, but we're investigating more ideas.

I'll probably slink around the RP boards tomorrow to have a peek at how things work already, then plan a little out in advance...but there's probably room for a Legally trained pony with a heart {And maybe Horse-shoes} of gold. :lol:

As for passion...I'm a guy who grew up on cartoons like Sonic SAT-Am and other well-established shows that had a good amount of bite along with their bark and glossy artistic hand-drawn looks. although clearly having merchandise drives, also at least had writers who gave half a damn about their viewers. SATam's writer died last year of a heart attack, but it seems as though I've found myself a show that may take the torch from a show long dead and cherished close to me, and establish itself as more than the sum of it's parts and the value of it's investors...it's a cartoon that's united the internet in a pink fluffy mass, a cartoon that allowed a whole bunch of people to realise that life doesn't need to just be cold and grey...it's just a well made, sharply written cartoon with a soul in a world where TV is slowly being filled with stagnant dreck and an almost anti-intellectual slant in 98% of it's programming.

I haven't watched many new animated shows or anime...but I've allowed this show into my heart and don't regret it a second - I'd probably never buy a toy, of course, but I'll be here with those who wait anxiously for the next episode in a cartoon show that tells us that it really is a pretty fantastic thing to have friendship and magic in our lives.

Yes - I'm a UK MLP FiM Fan, and I don't regret a single itty bitty second of it. :3

I dont want to sound too old; but I understand where your coming from. As much as I've gotten used to the age of 'anon', and the apparent power behind treating everything as potential shock value; I think I really wanted an example of some kind of global proof that there is some kind of hope and warmth in people. Everyone kind of pleasantly assumes it; but hanging around places like 4chan proves you pretty wrong pretty fast it seems. I was taken by surprise, and i'm sure it sounds corny, by just how *friendly* the community became as MLP FiM coursed through so many 'hardened' anons like me, and turned their worlds upside down.

For me, it was somehow like rediscovering innocence; that it was okay to enjoy a show like MLP FiM, and openly practice things like honesty and warmth on the internet, without being immediately laughed off of it.

In my own perspective, the show really is nothing less than magic. In some ironic way- I think more grown men (and quite a few of us lady folk) have shed more tears over these last few months since Faust ripped our hearts out and showed us just how much we missed having them.

Perhaps this is all too 'touchy feely', but gosh darn it- I agree with you. MLP FiM has done something pretty moving in a community that is known for refusing to budge. For that, I'm particularly proud to be a part of the fandom.

There is always the internet; you can always find a fellow brony to pick up a toy for you and mail it your way. I know I intend to find myself a Rainbow Dash to stick in my shoulder bag. :3

I have to say, though - the last thing that grabbed me emotionally in any medium was actually Ghost Trick on the DS.

Freaking amazingly written game - made by the same guy who did the Ace Attorney series...a good and honest game with INTELLIGENT writing/dialogue along with enough sheer emotional impact and sympathising with the character/s involved that at the end of it all, you feel glad and all the wiser for having shared such an intense time with them. The only games I've had do that to me are Ace Attorney 3, Ghost Trick, and Final Fantasy 9...and I will support/advocate these games to anyone who asks.

As far as figuring out how to get Ponies onto my desk or somesuch - hey, there's probably always Ebay...I may even Pony up the dough and go for the custom derpy - because inside, we all have our Derpy moments...even if we sometimes refuse to admit it.

And with that, my qualifying post to look around and do more, I actually go to bed...I'll definately have to come back and do MOOOOAR ponies tomorrow, but I also know I'll be making time to sit back with mah l'il miss Danikku {Who is a resident american ponyfan} on skype and take her through the series from Dragonshy up, since that's where we left off the other night.

{Also, headache! XD;}

Night, fellow Ponylovin' folkerinos...it's gonna be fun seeing just what 'magic' is conjured up over the coming months!

I look forward to grazing is these parts with all of ya! =D

Quite right. To me she's awesome because she's an expression of the creativity of the fandom.

Hi Robikku! I'm new to the site as well and I just thought that I'd drop by to say hello! Also, I completely agree with you about Fluttershy, she is just sooo cute!! Have you see the episode with Zacora the Zebra? I have to admit it was pretty funny when her voice turned out to be really deep like that.

Ah, Yeah - Well, to me her slight african accent wasn't entirely unexpected. XD;

If anything, it would have been more surprising if it had been of a lighter tone...just wouldn't have fit as well!

Oh - and I has skype: Danny_Raora { Add me or whatever, doesn't matter - I'm easy enough going for that! XD; }
