Applejack puffed as she scooped apples from off the ground to the closest harvesting pale. "Babysit? Nao!? When there's a swarm of hungray caterpillars headin' this way. I gotta get all these apples picked before they get swarmed on!" Applejack's regrets to the Cake's couldn't really be heard well. But her intention was not to sound selfish. After all, there wasn't much more important to her than the well-being of the apple orchard. Except family. But Applejack was sure that somepony would help them, and since Applejack was a dependable family oriented pony, she was pretty sure she was one of the first the Cake's asked. As the Cake's left saddened by Applejack's regrets, the orange mare noticed a bouncing Pinkie following them. I sure hope if they ask Pinkie she knows what she's doing.

Applejack, rushed a pair of harvesting saddlebaskets full of apples to the barn door. She kicked open the door and threw the apples into the barn and shut the door. Winded, Applejack knew that as long as the apples were in the barn, there was no way the caterpillars could get to them. The barn was well made and designed to keep critters of all sizes out. However, Applejack also knew that in order to get all of the apples that were currently on the tree into the barn, she and her brother would have to work extra fast and hard all day and since she hadn't seen Big Mac yet, she was getting a little annoyed with his absense. "Big Macintosh!? Where in tarnation are you at!? We need to get these apples off these trees pronto!" Applejack stamped her hoof as she shouted at Big Macintosh's window.

Big Mac was already distracted - he was in the kitchen, about to have himself a small slice of the mornings apple pie after a hard mornings work in the yard, when a caterpiller had appeared on the windowsill, staring at the stallion defiantly. raising an eyebrow, The Red apple stallion glared at the small creature in annoyance - the reaction he could make out that he'd gotten in reply was a similar glare in return...at which point, Mac leaned forwards, scrunching his features up a little more in an attempt to outglare this defiant little thing. The caterpiller takes one step forward, and Mac replied by squinting, giving a deep annoyed grunt and makes a move to head over towards the window - the reaction gained from this was the small critter turning tail and jumping out from the open window behind it...leading to a small chuckle from Mac as he goes to take a big bite from the slice on his plate, anticipating a well earnt few minutes break to himself.

"Big Macintosh!? Where in tarnation are you at!? We need to get these apples off these trees pronto!"

No such luck!

The call comes out of nowhere, as Macintosh gives a small groan of annoyance - he'd been looking forward to a slice of this for a while, but now it seemed he couldn't even savour a moment to himself yet...instead, he found himself forced to wolf the pie slice down quickly before making his way out the front way, and approaching his sister from behind.

" Ah'm here, Ah'm here - no need t'get yer britches in a twist... " The older stallions says, raising an eyebrow as he flicks a caterpiller approaching him away with a hoof deftly.

" Hmm...the quick l'il varmints are everywhere, so ah guess we need t'get our flanks into gear! "

"You said it, brother!"

Applejack quickly spotted a scurrying caterpillar inching its way across the farm path. "Com'ere you!" Applejack pounced on the caterpillar. She grabbed her hat and tried to cover the bug from going anywhere. "Gotchya!" A little unsure if the bug was actually under her hat, she lifted it a little, and then a lot, but couldn't find the critter under her hat. Instead, unbeknownst to the whereabouts of the caterpillar, Applejack shrugged the mystery and put her hat back on.

"Come on Big Mac, I just saw a big swarm of them hairy ones headin' straight for the gala trees. I wish they weren't so little, otherwise I'd have no problem roppin' these varmints up." Applejack grabbed and put on a pair of saddlebaskets and ran over to a gala apple tree to buck the ripe trees down. "We gotta get these apples off the trees before they get to them. If we spend too much time chasing one or two, the rest of them with eat all of our apples into next harvestin' season." Applejack kicked her hind legs firmly against the tree, and as expected, all of the weak stems yielded the ripest of the fruit from the tree straight into the pony's basket.
