Physique: Fit, not athletic however.

Residence: Canterlot

Occupation: Student and part time, free lance mechanic work

Motivation: Klank had discovered the technology that the hippogriff populations of the West had managed to create, increasing his desire to fiddle with construction and automated industry. His beauty mark came forth when he made his first complete hydraulic system.

Likes: Tinkering, fiddling, studying, constructing, engineering, learning, etc. He has a bad habit of watching female ponies while he is in the middle of something, usually resulting in catastrophic failures.

Dislikes: Being dirty, seeing any amount of filth on his works, other male ponies (Too a reasonable extent), loud noises (which is ironic as most of his machines start off very noisy).

Notable Abilities:

Static electricity - Capable of creating a very tiny electrical current, usually enough to give a metal a weak magnetic attraction and enough to ignite gases within a confined space (Think of lightbulbs). This ability was discovered when his mane grew longer and noticeably curlier as he became a colt. The friction between his hair and surrounding magic sources, such as his horn, allow him to have very minor control of electricity. Thankfully it's hardly even enough to make a newborn notice.

Aggravated Magnetism - When upset, Klank's magic seems to develop a mind of it's own, attracting his horn towards the nearest source of metal, where he unwilling stays until he calms down. The magnetism when used on or near Klank's machines seems to act like a limiter removal, allowing the machines to operate more efficiently but also more erratically. This has been the cause of most of his failures in the past due to his relatively short temperament and raging emotional discord due to puberty.

Precision is Key - Klank is very precise, he rarely uses his mouth or hooves for yanking and banging, he would rather use his aviary magic to levitate a nail to an exact point than use rulers and tape to mark up a location for building. Hence why he is always carrying his toolkit with him.

Notable Faults:

Hormones Rampant - Get your head out of the gutter, every teenager has dealt with this form of emotional instability before. Due to Klank's age, his body has began to produce hormones intended to make his attracted to the opposite sex, well it works, but it's a real issue when Klank is in the middle of something, usually causing him to make an utterly careless mistake and taking the blame wholeheartedly for any damages caused.

Curly Whirly - Anyone that has curly hair knows how this works, for others, here is the break down: It's curly, it clings, it poofs, it floofs, it stretchs, it yanks, it tangles, it hurts. Klank tends to get caught up or have debris get caught within his mane and tail, much to his displeasure. He has tried to remedy this numerous times but hasn't been able to find a truly permanent fix as of now.

Overly Tidy - Perfection is key to Klank's work, even if it means getting a single spot of grease off of his art. This is a major problem for him as everything at any busy location tends to get dirty fairly quickly. If his workspace isn't perfect, Klank will utterly refuse to work.

Envious - Klank takes great pride in his work, no matter how minuscule, he will become envious to the point of insanity if someone does something at a higher level than him while studying at the same location with him. (Does not seem to apply towards his instructors)

Character Summary: Klank is a bit of an outcast. The ponies of Canterlot have yet to take a real shine to the mechanics with which he works. He tries to be a lady person, but fails miserably as his mind begins to wander upon the sight of any assumed female. He has lived in Canterlot his entire life, only traveling just outside the city to gather basic minerals that aren't readily available. He knows about the local area through his studies, such as the maps available at the library. Klank personally despises his enclosed life, but his parents had always been overprotective, keeping the local authorities having some form of contact with him at all times. A slap on the hoove is all he gets, but he has been spending the last several years trying to develop a way to, even if temporarily, fly like a pegasus to get outside the city limits, he has yet to have a successful flight as he has no way to keep his machines from being spotted from a mile away.

He always keeps his tool bags on a saddle with him wherever he goes. It has a monkey wrench, a screwdriver, a hammer, a sawblade, screws, and nails to name a few of the tools available. He also has schematics on the other side of his saddle, giving him some simple construction notes and ideas on the fly.(More will come as he is developed)
