DeepBass
I finally did my vocal cover of "Octavia's Overture" by The Living Tombstone. Please give me some constructive criticism. http://soundcloud.com/deepbuckingbass/octavias-overture-living
Twimsy
I like! :3 Overall I think it's quite a nice cover. I'd say your weakest parts were with the higher notes, but you did them pretty well at the ending. Did you do the vocals all in one go?
DeepBass
Yep.
Twimsy
Phew! You're a trooper, then. xD I always have a hard time going straight through a song.

DeepBass
That is if I can turn off my UKF Dubstep collection long enough to get it done.
DeepBass
Yeah, it's not happening. I just tried, and didn't make it past the verse.
Twimsy
Aww. D: What seems to be the problem?
DeepBass
I just didn't have it in me to do the hardcore vocals that I wanted to do. Instead, I slowed it down, and did a do-over of September. Last time I did it, I had a friend do it with me, and this version's a bit better, seeing as how I added some effects to the mix. http://soundcloud.com/deepbuckingbass/september-living-tombstone
DeepBass
And by "didn't have it in me," I meant I've been up since 6 this morning, and it's now 1 a.m.
Twimsy
Oof! Yeah, long days can wear you down. All I can offer is the typical advice - water, sleep and to try again at a later date.I like this second one though, too. :3 It's kinda creepy. You have a knack for the musical arts, good sir! DeepBass
Well thank you. Now, if only I had the vocal range to put the appropriate lyrics to my own song.
Twimsy
Thrice-accursed vocal ranges. xP Only advice I can offer there is to maybe adjust the octave to more accommodate your range?
DeepBass
Yeah, but then it doesn't sound right to me.
Twimsy
Ah, yeah. D: It does tend to sound funky in some instances.
DeepBass
Yeah, that's why it sucks being a Bass in a genre that's predominantly Tenor.
