Mane/Tail Color & Style: Somewhat short, and usually unkempt. Similar in style to this brony. Color is black, with a thick gray stripe running down the center.

Eye Color: A dull silver-gray (it's possible in the show's MLP game on Hub, so I assume it is here too)

Cutie Mark: A gray tesla coil with pale blue sparks.

Physique: Medium (for reference: similar in size and build to Braeburn)

Residence: Seekrit Lab in the Everfree Forest. It's inside the ruins of what may have been a stone watchtower at some point (not to be confused with Luna's castle ruins, though who knows, maybe the structures are related?)

Occupation: Mad Science Brony. But as the Mad Science Brony field is currently very small and without much in the way of standardized wages (or income of any kind), he also repairs just about any appliance or gadget that breaks down. FOR SCIENCE!

Motivation: Tesla Coil hates that the Pegasus ponies are the only ones in charge of controlling the weather, and it was that resentment that drove him to SCIENCE! He works in his laboratory deep in the Everfree forest to one day find a way to generate whatever kind of weather he wants without the need of the ponies above, but so far all he's figured out how to do is make lots of electricity and a few electricity-related gadgets. Like a big lightning gun he keeps in the top of the tower, for use against any nasty monsters that might try to break in (it's basically a big cartoonish looking blaster ray-gun thing that shoots a bolt of high voltage electricity. It has to be manually aimed, and is fired by pushing a large red button on the control console. It's far too big to ever be carried around). His determination to make the weather on his own through mechanical means is what earned him his cutie mark, when he built his first electro-coil! And nearly burnt the whole laboratory down, but nopony needs to hear about that ever.

Likes: SCIENCE! Machinery, electricity, seclusion, success.

Dislikes: The vast majority of pegasus ponies (largely out of envy-turned-hatred, though he tolerates his assistant, Goggles, because she doesn't live in Cloudsdale or work with the weather team), unicorn ponies (again, envy-turned-hatred, largely because he wishes HE could use magic), the "lazy ponies satisfied with the status quo," and...well, a lot of things. He's a very bitter brony, he is.

Character Summary: Tesla Coil is a mad science brony living out in the Everfree Forest, largely to continue his work away from as many annoyances as possible. With his assistant, Goggles, he hopes to one day figure out how to create all sorts of weather without the need of the pegasus ponies, though he hasn't had much luck beyond lightning yet. He can usually be found wearing a white lab coat and darkened blast goggles, but that's assuming he even ventures outside at all. He usually has his assistant, Goggles, fetch him what he needs. Regrettably, the work of a mad science brony is not cheap, and he offers his services as a repairpony in the surrounding area, including (much to his great chagrin) Ponyville. He's a bit...theatrical at times, and even has a device installed in the ceiling of his laboratory to make electricity arc and crackle overhead for dramatic effect at certain times (he's hoping he can get real lightning and thunder sometime in the near future).

You'll need to change his species to "Earth Pony," what you have written there now is confusing. Everything checks out except the Lightning Gun. I think we may need to hear from Ashi on that one.

Also, I have a question about Goggles. If she's the one to be sent out to do all the work, does that mean she'll likely be the one most ponies will be seeing instead of him? If so, then either an app for her should be submitted (One character per app!) or this app should focus on her with Tesla Coil being a background pony. As much as I love mad science and how colorful this character is, just a few rough edges to smooth out!

Done, and if it helps with the consideration with the lightning gun, I figured the large lightning gun would be at least plausible for pony tech based on the big machinery stuff they used in Cloudsdale to make the weather. Additionally, the power supply for his lab is likely going to come from steam powered generators, as I plan on him having diverted some water from a small river / stream nearby (and fire isn't that hard to come by).

Also, I have a question about Goggles. If she's the one to be sent out to do all the work, does that mean she'll likely be the one most ponies will be seeing instead of him? Goggles will not be played by me, but by a friend who's working on her app now (well, actually she's sleeping now, but you get the idea). She's included simply because she'd have already been working for Tesla Coil, so I felt a name drop and an explanation of why he has her around / how they get along would be in order.
