Mythical Wanderings in Whitetail Woods [Thrylos and EquestrianScholar]

Recommended Posts

Whitetail Woods...calm, quiet, and mysterious...the perfect place for stress relief, and even as a cousin to Everfree, this wood held a much more peaceful feel within. The dawning light hit the late spring petals falling of the blooms, filling the air with a rainbow rain of glowing blossoms. Peryton lay within this twinkling forest, heads bent the grasses and plants beneath the trees, tranquil but still watchful. A cracking sound reached the winged deer, who turned their heads and stayed alert. Knowing the danger was gone after a long wait, the went back to nibbling, but being watchful slowly moved on to the next feeding ground.

This was where a young writer went on his own, tired from his works in the cafe and his writing career...all he wanted right now was a rest in the wilderness, with no bothers, just himself. Using some of the money he had left, the black unicorn levitated some clothes, a notepad incase his writing nature made him antsy, onto the airship and hopped on, riding down to a small group of lodges near Whitetail Woods...

Ink Soul was the unicorn's name...stepping into the ship, he looked about the small ship, led by the infamous Captain Dusk, an old mare who was experienced in such things, and Ink sighed at the instant blast of clear mountain air out on the unprotected deck of the ship. putting his stuff down below, the unicorn set himself looking out from the side of the ship's deck, on the glorious day ahead...

Whitetail Woods, much like the Everfree held more then a few secrets of it's own. Like the guardains of the fair and peaceful forest, who they are and where they originally came from. What was their story, what was the story of the forest itself... this were the thoughts going through the head of a certian gray unicorn as he moved about the ship. A smile of his face he looked on in amusement as he considered his surroundings and those of the ship as ponies got onto the craft.

There seems to be more then a couple of interest, the old caption as well as a certain black unicorn. Rearranging is saddlebag, having been enchanted to hold more then it normally could, he could feel the comforting feel of books within as he walk to where the other unicorn stood near the side. With a glint of interest the gray stallion spoke, seemingly to no pony in particular saying, "such a wonderful day to explore a few mysteries."

Ink Soul turned from the wind whipping across he face and throwing his silver mane about, and the young stallion looked at the pony in surprise. "Well, I guess you could say that..." Not being used to being social like this, Ink Soul didn't know how to react. Look the gray unicorn in front of him up and down, Ink turned back to the wind. "There are lots of wonderful things you don't see when your sitting about your house making your life dream live on..."

"Yes very much so," the stallion agreed with a grin as he moved his own gray mane out of his face, "one can only learn if they are willing to see new and wonderous places, to meet others and speak with them."

With a laugh he says, "I am Mythos Gray, a storyteller from Canterlot... you are?"
