Cutie Mark: A gamepad Origin/Residence: The Outlands Occupation: Student Motivation: Using his power for the good of others Likes: (optional) Dislikes: (optional) Character Summary: Born in the Outlands, Silver Swirl doesn't really remember his early years that well. It's a jumble of images that make no sense and the occasional vignette of a birthday party and presents. He does know that he was a good colt, and incredibly smart to boot. Always willing to put aside his interests to help somepony in need, he often went without if it meant somepony else could be happy. He also remembers lots of flashing lights and incredible sounds that he hasn't heard since but the memory has a dreamy quality to it, like it may just be his imagination. Calling his magic unique would be an understatement, he had to improvise and draw power from a unique source to survive after being cast out of his home. His home was a hidden, highly advanced technological society that has videogames and other modern conveniences never before seen in Equestria and probably never will be seen as the Equestrian nation is satisfied with what they have. He was thrown out because of his magic potential, most unicorns in the society he was born in never really went past being a gamma class unicorn due to their not really being any need to use magic when they had machines and electricity to fulfill most tasks but Silver Swirl chafed against those conventions but loved his videogames too much to let them go and leave. But then one day, he was playing Gleaming Force II and in his excitement over winning, he wanted to see if he could replicate the lightning spell he saw in the game. Focusing his mind, his horn glowing a burnished gold color, a single large bolt of lightning erupted from his horn putting a hole in the roof of his house! "WOW! That's cool! I wonder what other spells these videogames can inspire?", he exclaimed as he figured out what he wanted to do with his life and his gamepad mark appeared on his flank. However, his studies got him in trouble with the authorities and he was expelled from the society but not before having his memories sanitized, all traces of his life there gone, but the spells he learned remained, untouched. He was nearly stallion at the time of his expulsion and an alpha class unicorn with a very lethal spellbook to call upon to defend himself at all times from the monsters that roam the outlands. As a full grown stallion, he had managed to make it into Equestria as a refugee, using his magical prowess to earn bits doing odd jobs and assisting medical professionals in hospitals. He calls Equestria home, as it is all he really remembers now. Still, being an amnesiac with no memory of his past from before awakening in the wastes of the outlands makes it difficult for him to socialize with others and his magic doesnt help either as it can be quite terrifying in its power. All he really can do now is make new memories and do the best he can to help others until he can figure out who he really is...SPELLS KNOWN (Learned from the games he played in his foal and colthood)There are really too many to list here from the 3 games he had studied before being banished but I'll list the games here for reference1. The Mother series2. Shining Force II3. Golden Sun

brianblackberry
Well as a crossover, there isn't much to pick apart, just be careful of any Gary Stu tendencies.
