Buck stopped the cart just outside the town, looking at the sign. He figured it would be best to park here where the road was rather than try and find a place to park it in town. He looked over his shoulder at the mare slumbering in the cart. She was still in her armor, and likely uncomfortable. Nodding to himself, he pulled off the road and into the open pasture. Bracing the cart against a rock and putting the brake on, he moved to the back and pulled out their tent. It only took him a few moments to levitate it in place and secure it. One it was up, he levitated the sleeping mare and took her into the tent. Helping her to get out of the armor and lay back for a proper sleep. That done, he came back out and picked up the guitar case from the cart. HE had no worry of any creature bothering the cart and tent. They were small, barely noticed, and protected by a few small enchantments.

As he walked into town with the guitar case on his back, he looked about for a place to set up. He needed a clear space to set up and play. He could leave the case open, or drop his cap on the ground to collect the coins if ponies threw him a few. He was fairly happy with the way their life was, and gladly accepted their lot in the world. Finding his way to the central fountain in town, he levitated the case to the ground and left it open. Sitting on the rim of the fountain basin, he turned the guitar for a moment before closing his eyes. His horn lit up, casting a single spell to amplify the music and his voice to let it float all over town. The last thing he did was levitate a harmonica next to him, but not to his lips. Instead he used his magic to play it in time with guitar, allowing him to play both at the same time.

As his hooves began to dance over the strings, he sang softly. A gentle song of love and peace. It was an old song many ponies would know, and many likely loved. As his voice carried over the town, he began to notice ponies drifting his way. They were attracted by the music, listening to him play and a few even tossing a coin or two in his open case. His voice was low and gentle as he smiled and sang to them

"See the west wind move...Like a lover's sooooul upon the fields of Barley...Feel her body rise, when you kiss her mouth...among the fields of gold... I never made promises lightly, and there have been some that I've broken... But I swear in the days still left, We'll walk in the fields of gold..." The stallion sang clear and clean like fresh wind. His body rocking softly back and forth as he played. His eyes dancing over the crowd around him. His pale green eyes gleamed brightly as his silver tangled mane blew in the breeze. His dark gray coat seemed to soften and sway over his muscles as he moved a little at a time. He was a large stallion for a unicorn, and much more muscled than most. He was used to physical labor. But as he sang, one could tell just how much joy and life there was in him. How much love he had for the world around him.

Switch was having a day off from travelling, resting calmly in his wagon, nestled just outside of the town of Ponyville, the wagon, although being somewhat large due to being a live in wagon, was hidden quite well between the trees that lined the pasture outside of town. The pony was wearing his chestplate and helmet as per usual, and was reading up on some of his favourite ancient stances, a tome he had received from a very nice book seller in town. If it wasn't for his armour he could pass for any other stallion; not being very big or muscled, or imposing in any way however it was not a problem to him; he was plenty friendly enough even in his armour.

Ocellus was wandering happily around town; it being a weekend so there was no school. She was currently in her natural form, with her translucent pink 'mane' and ladybug like wing covers. She didn't know what to do really; her friends were not around to play with, but that didn't mean she couldn't make more friends, after all, sharing was an important friendship lesson, and a reformed changeling knew there was nothing more worthwhile sharing than friendship. She stopped by Sugar Cube Corner on her walk, getting a few pastries to have a nibble on before picking up another book to read from a charitable book seller who seemed to enjoy her company and so let her borrow books.

As she was walking by the fountain she watched as a rather large pony with stature similar to Professor Applejack's brother set up a guitar and started to perform. Ocellus liked music; she was a good singer and sung a lot back at the hive, creativity after all was usual for the reformed Changelings. She sits down on a bench, listening to the music, the book set down in front of her with her bag of goodies as she gently sung along to the music, keeping moderately quiet but feeling the urge to sing along nonetheless; a habit she had picked up in the land of the ponies, where randomly joining somepony in non-choreographed musicals was just an everyday thing. "We'll walk in the fields of gold~" She sung happily, flipping a page in her book.

Buck finished his song, before smiling at every one. Then he spied a creature that was no pony. And yet he only smiled wider. His curved horn glowed with the gentle color of his magic and he changed to a different song. His hooves strummed over the strings of the guitar, coaxing out sweet notes as he let his music carry the sound over the town. He was happiest when he was playing, and the sounds he was bringing forth carried his joy around with it. His voice was soft, and deep as it filled the air with song.

The song this time was, however, very upbeat and seemed almost as lively as the town itself. He had shifted position to stand on his rear hooves and keep playing. His hooves moved quickly, dancing over the strings and making them hum. "Young hearts... Be freeeee tonight! Tiiiiiime is on, your side... Don't let them put you down, don't let em push you round. Don't let them ever change your... point of view... Paradise was closed, so they headed for the coast in a blissful manner..They took a two-room apartment that was jumping every night of the week... Happiness was found in each other's hooves... as expected... Billy pierced his ears, ran a gallop like a lunatic!" The stallion was pelting out notes like his lungs were infinite, his hooves tapped and he began to dance with it. He was so into his own music he didn't notice that a few other ponies had started tapping and swaying along to his music as well.

Stormstride slowly came awake as the distant sound of her brother's music filled her ears. She moved to sit up slowly and rubbed her face. The tent was no ordinary one, as it was really just a magic doorway. It lead to a room with two beds, a stove, a table and chairs and lots of places for them to tuck their belongings away. They were always moving, so they had to carry their home with them. This gave them a way to have some sense of a home without having to buy or build one. As she stepped out of the tent, she noticed another large cart nearby. And on it a pony wearing armor like herself. Though while his face was cheerful and pleasant, hers was taunt and stern. She tore her gaze from the other cart long enough to look at the nearby sign showing where they were. Ponyville. Storm had heard of it, but never figured they would really visit there. She figured Buck's wandering while she slept brought them here.

Stretching, she shifted her armor and then sat a moment to let her mind catch up to her body. Her thick mottled gray coat was barely visible under the strange black and silver armor she wore. Under it, one could see furs and leather from feral animals, as well as thick chainmail that covered her underbelly and all the way to her ankles on her back legs. But the thing that stood out the most was the gleaming silver horseshoes she wore. They were mounted into the bone by large, visible screws on either side of her hoof.
