Listen!

Yes, I was that incredibly bored.

BUT, that brings me to an interesting question I wished to pose, related to the above!

What is it that you, the Canterlot community, does when you are bored? Care to share your most interesting shenanigans? How do you pass the time during power outages, or when you're kicked out of the house, or get cabin fever, or you're stuck at a party you really don't want to be at?

Reveal to me how you relieve thy boredom! It is relevant to my interests.

WHAT'S GOING ON?!

Well, anyway, that's a pretty subjective question. I mean, You ask, "What is it that you, the Canterlot community, does when you are bored?" and then follow it with three completely different questions: "How do you pass the time during power outages, or when you're kicked out of the house, or get cabin fever, or you're stuck at a party you really don't want to be at?" So I guess I'll stab at them one at a time.

"What is it that you do when you are bored?" Really, there is a lot do. I've got video games, books, movies... and most of all, the internet! A plehtora of knowledge and literature and media. I mean, when you have the internet, you can be occupied for hours. Find an episode of one of your favorite shows, read a fanfic, chat with friends, post on this forum, look at art, play a game... Really, the internet has endless possibilities.

"How do you pass the time during power outages?" Well, this depends on if you are alone or with family or friends. Alone, there is the possbility of using your cell phone, for the time the battery lasts. When the power went out when I was younger, I used to call friends and ask if the power was out at their house, since landlines were not affected by power outages. There's reading, and writing, or even just taking a nap. If you're with others, try playing board games. One time, I stayed the night at a friends house, and the power went out, and we played a board game to pass the time. It was night, but it was too early to sleep, so I guess we had a large flashlight or something. Maybe build a pillow fort. I mean, that's fun anytime, but if the power is out, not much else to do-plus, you need to use flashlights anyway!

"How do you pass the time when you're kicked out of the house or get cabin fever?" Well, since the first hasn't happened to me, I'll take the second. What else is there to do but go for a walk? Maybe go window shopping if you live near an area where there is shopping available. Walk to a friends house, see if you can crash there. Depending on where you live, maybe go to the park and take a nap. Visit a pet store or shelter and play with the animals. Call a friend if you've got a cell phone, hang out with them. Two is better than one, after all.

"How do you pass the time when you're stuck at a party you really don't want to be at?" Well, normally I'm just a wallflower. First of all, I eat food. Lots of food. All the food I want. I'm pretty socially awkward, so it happens that even when I go to parties I want to be at, I end up standing around, not making conversation, or just listening to others. So I sit on a couch, listen to what others are talking about. Or I go outside and take a little walk, because generally said party is at a place I do not frequent and thus do not know well. I mess around with my phone, text people I actually know, or play games. If it isn't rude to do so, listen to your iPod or read a book or maybe even write in a notebook. Pretty much the same stuff as before. I mean, parties are only like, a few hours, right? They might be awkard, but not that time consuming. And hey, if you're the social type, maybe try to make a friend and spend the evening talking with them. Mentally plan what you're going to do when you get home and get out of this party. Let your mind wander. Imagine the party goers in underwear. Think about what would happen if an elephant burst through the wall. Maybe I just have an active imagination to keep me occupied at these parties.

It's ART! With letters!

You sir, have been using your imagination!

Shenanigans? I tried to place a beeping alarm on a door before. When someone opens the door, a loud, blaring sound will be set off; the alarm is detonated as the two metal pieces come apart. I did this to my brother before, with horrible results.

Power outages? I have my Nintendo DSi, PSP, and an iPad packed with four pages of singleplayer, offline applications. I'm fully prepared for a power outage!

Cabin fever? Video games, books, and board games. They're the best remedies in your house.

Passing the time at a party? I've never really been to a party before. :(
