Roleplay Type: Mane Roleplay Name: Urban Flight Sex: Male Age: Stallion Species: Earth pony Eye Color: Deep purple Coat Color: Grey Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: Blonde mane,Tail is done up in dreadlocks, purple dye here and there. Physique: Average build, slightly toned. Cutie Mark: Origin/Residence: Manehattan, (debating if he still lives there or somewhere similar like canterlot etc) Occupation: Currently unemployed, wishes to teach others parkour (parkhorse? *badum chish*) or become a bouncer. Motivation: Urban wants nothing more than to fly and feel the wind whip past him. Of course for an earth pony this was near impossible so urban keeps himself in shape with a recently discovered "sport" named parkour. Likes: Phat beats, air time, mares, swagger, sugar. Dislikes: Talking in Fancy, Rules, bullies, snobs, spice Character Summary: Urban was an only foal, born and raised in Manehattan. Well, that's what he'd lead you to believe. Urban Flight was actually one of three foals in the Flight family – the middle child to be exact – and how he hated it. You could say he had a typical case of middle child syndrome, and it affected him greatly. Urban started acting out for attention. ANY attention would do for him; all he wanted was to be noticed. Urban had become the family's black sheep, so to speak. He began running with a less-than-savory crowd of colts, staying out and causing mayhem in the streets till Luna's moon fell upon the city. The Flight's had no idea what was coming over urban, they'd become too absorbed over their youngest foal and the academic achievements of their elder colt. If this kept up, Urban would turn out to be a bad pony, anyone on the street could see that, especially when he started dying parts of his luscious blond mane and tail purple. He even went as far as getting some of the other colts to help give his tail dreadlocks. By now the town had started to ignore Urban’s cries for attention – all except one pegasus who could see the troubled signs in the ash grey colt. Aerial Hooves, a family friend of the Flight family, swooped down upon Urban one day as he was bucking trash cans. Aerial took the little colt to the local park and did the one thing no pony had done for him in a long time: listen to him. Hours flew by as Urban’s pent up frustrations poured out before the pegasus, until eventually he buried his face into Aerial’s pelt and started to cry. The little earth pony had finally been given the one thing he wanted the most. Urban spent more and more time with Aerial hooves, either going on field trips or to the park. One day Urban admitted something to the stallion he looked up to. "I wish I could fly like you, dude." Sadly, the colt looked at his wingless back. He was an earth pony after all, and had no hope of pursuing such a dream. A moment passed before he felt a hoof patting him on his back. "While you cannot fly like a Pegasus, little one, you can soar among earth ponies." Urban was confused as the older stallion trotted off, jumping and doing flips over park benches, off trees, fountains, even jumping off walls a few times. The little colt was wowed by the display and started bouncing around Aerial in hopes of learning how to do such tricks. It took years of practice but eventually Urban had become a fit young stallion, and along with his age came experience with parkour. Under Aerial Hooves’ guidance, Urban was able to leap and bound off, over, and around anything put in his way. The stallion felt alive as he bounded over walls and fences, his teacher flying low enough so the pair could soar together among the buildings. For the time ever Urban felt like he was flying. Tears fell from his eyes as the wind crashed over him and his teacher. The overwhelming joy he felt kissed his side and a horseshoe with wings appeared on his flank. Urban had found his true calling in life; his wish had come to pass. Urban had his whole life before him, but no direction to it. The earth pony sat upon the bench of the very park where he'd first met Aerial and pondered deeply to himself what he should do. "Should I move or should I stay?" Urban mulled the thought over for a long time. He loved the city and it held many memories for him, but at the same time he felt he could spread his wings and soar, so to speak. "A job would be great, too, yo . . . but what can I even do about dat?" Urban looked at himself, he wasn't a delinquent anymore sure but he kept his mane and tail the same as he always had. The look grew on him and he couldn't see himself as anypony else without dying bits of his mane and tail here and there, it made him special and that's what mattered to him. The pony then sat upon that bench to talk properly, but the more he spoke the more he noticed he could not break his rather Colorful way of speaking from his less then savory youth. "Ugh...i'm a buckin mess aren't i yo?" The pony sighed and looked up to sky longingly for an answer. For Urban, his story was about to unfold. amg placeholders
