  1. I....really like that! After all, Rainbow Dash's character obviously shines on the loyalty aspect, and it would definitely provide an interesting sort of conflict for her once that idea of displaced loyalty comes in to play! Thanks for the ideas so far! Keep them coming!
  2. Those would be hilarious! Would definitely try to work those in! Personally, tongue-in-cheek humor is something I love, so those would mix fine into my style! Thanks for the new ideas! Definitely helps in the thought process. I have thought up different ways to end it, but all of them kinda cop out a bit...I'd share the ideas, but I'm tired as anything and I'll just wait for better ideas to help flesh one out a bit. Like I said, more feedback and ideas are absolutely accepted!
  3. Thanks for responding! @Ashton While I do believe that'd be good to have a sort of "straight man" character to end up leading the story to them leaving, the idea WAS for them to get homesick, and quickly realize their act can't stick much longer. After all, it wouldn't be too long before the zebra realize Celestia is an allicorn...and Rainbow Dash is noticeably missing a horn...Frankly, having Twilight to make it even in the department of character conflict would work, but I'm not sure whether doing that would be for better or for worse...Still, I'll consider that! Heck, I just realized that with Twilight, it'd shape the main cast to be: Rainbow Dash - Pegasus Pinkie Pie - Earth pony Twilight Sparkle - Unicorn Which would indeed make a good bit of sense to represent each group of pony. Just for the fun, xD Also, that little bit of symbolism WAS intentional, actually. In fact, my idea was to have Rainbow Dash and Pinkie deduce this that they may have died, but this could be quickly dashed (No pun intended ) by some way or another. But yes, this bit of symbolism was intentional, as I've seen many types of films that use that technique of symbolism, and I find it a fun little bit... @Trilobite That point of Dash and Pinkie realizing the conning situation is actually a good callback to what "Road to El Dorado" slightly touched on. Besides, that IS a viable point about the plot. Essentially, Rainbow Dash is conning people, while Pinkie is basically just playing it like a game and having fun along the way, making Pinkie Pie the "innocent" pony, if you want to put it that way. This could actually use Twilight Sparkle in that case...I suppose I AM going to need a third pony in there... I'm glad you like the sound of it! I always consult with my future readers on my ideas, so they know what to expect and even to help in shaping the story. After all, like I said when I started here, I write my fanfiction to please. No point in writing without pleasing your critics! Keep the feedback coming! Positive or negative, doesn't matter. I take every opinion with the same, important worth...
  4. I would agree there. However, schtick is hard to break once the fandom catches on... Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if this Derpy Hooves thing is taken too far...
  5. I currently have seen every Season 1 episode one or two times (Except "Over a Barrel", which I've heard isn't the best episode anyways). I will usually watch a new episode the morning it comes on The Hub, and then watch it on the repeat on Sunday morning. I've only re-watched a few Season 2 episodes, as I'm awaiting for the season to end. It seems that with a inactive show, the re-watching is much more fun, xD I re-watch Season 1 episodes practically every night on Youtube, as being a fan-fic writer for FiM requires to have all the personalities down, and...well, you can't write a My Little Pony story without being in the fun-loving, sugar-filled, heart-warming mood!
  6. As usual, a billion different story ideas have been crossing my mind. All of the sudden, I came up with this one after watching "The Road to El Dorado". It may seem like a take-off, but I pride myself on staying as original as possible in parody fics, or "characters in movie plot" fics. Basically, the idea of the fic revolves around Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie. The fic takes place not a terrible amount of time after all the events of FiM, where Pinkie and Dash are now grown mares. The two constantly get into trouble with their pranking, but still maintain a fair reputation around Ponyville. However, on a particular day Pinkie Pie realizes how little adventure she's seen in the last years at Ponyville, to which Rainbow Dash agrees with as well. This being the case, Rainbow Dash suggests they go off to find an adventure of their own elsewhere. It's not long before the two run into a snag in their plan, as they are stopped by an odd group of Pegasi outside of Manehattan, who attempt to take advantage of Pinkie's good nature and, while looking to mug them of bits, realize they have barely any money on them. In frustration, the group of Pegasi that kidnapped the two drop them into a nearby ocean, which leads them to a new land that they believe could be the adventure they're looking for...at least Pinkie Pie, as Rainbow Dash continues to try and navigate themselves back to Ponyville...with obviously little success throughout the story. As the two journey through the strange place they've ended up in, they run into a group of zebra, who quickly ask them to follow them. Soon after, Pinkie and Dash arrives with the zebras in a land of pure wonder. A world constructed of everypony's wildest dreams and luxury. A dream world, if you would. Thanks to a mis-understanding, however, Rainbow Dash is mistaken for Princess Celestia, which causes the inhabitants to worship Dash. Of course, RD embraces this without hesitation, and forgets all about going back to Ponyville. However, because of this mistake, Rainbow Dash must keep up the act of being Celestia. Of course, she manages to do a horrible impression of the Princess, but the zebra fail to notice thanks to the fanfare of it all, and because of their isolation from the princess. Meanwhile, Pinkie lives it up in this place, doing what she calls "Princess' Assistant' work, which includes gorging and playing around and having fun in the ways only Pinkie Pie can do. Not the entire idea has generated for me, but that's about what I have. I know, the outline sounds quite a bit like the inspiration, but like I said, once you know the material you're inspired by, you know what to do differently. So...any consultation? Ideas? Help? I'll gladly accept any ideas!
  7. Just announced on The Hub as we all knew, Pinkie and Discord win! Now, to enjoy an awesome 2-hour marathon of Pony!
  8. Everypony, before we go ON AND ON about Luna and Celestia...remember that it IS just a story. I'm sure that, if the story was anywhere CLOSE to accurate, that flag would be different. They probably just simply used the Equestrian flag for the fact that it WAS about the founding of Equestria. After all, I've seen stage productions of the forming of the U.S. that have flags that I'm VERY sure are inaccurate...
  9. ...Well, in conclusion... LOVED IT! The episode real picked itself up as it rolled along. The script improved as it carried, the humor carried, etc. Really seemed to like an episode that snowballed into a wonderful Christmas episode....and that song, while short, did satisfy me a bit and warm the heart... So, I'll say it was indeed a solid episode. This FiM crew just NEVER misses a bit!
  10. Ah, so FRIENDSHIP saves this?.... And of course, Twilight turns into the Highlander again... ....Singing songs? WHY DON'T WE HEAR THAT, HUH? SONG. CAROL! OH MY CELESTIA! THIS IS WONDERFUL!
  11. Peanut gallery isn't liking Spike's dramatics, apparently. Fluttershy has devolved from tree to stick. Pinkie Pie owns a pet rock, too? Gummy's got competition... Wow. Fast-moving ice... STAR-SWIRL! CALLBACK!
  12. The Mane 6 are surprisingly good actors...xD Pinkie Pie is a champion, so she doesn't use doors....perhaps meme material? I think so. Fluttershy's best Scooby Doo impression is a fine one indeed! Scary clouds are scary, apparently. Whining Rarity, anything new? HA! Pinkie Pie just hit the rewind button on logic! Wonderful! Hoof-rubbing Dash is adorable, frankly.
  13. Spike as a storyteller makes me laugh... The animation is REAL nice this time around. Weak starting sequence, but now this seems to look better now. And, of course, Derpy, xD
  14. Certainly sounds good! Would love a new episode about AJ! Her character definitely needs some development. I'm betting this episode will probably be coming up soon after "Family Appreciation Day". If so, can't wait for a Applejack episode! Took us almost a full season, but it sounds like we'll finally get the long-awaited Applejack episode! I think this deserves an enthusiastic YEE-HAW!
  15. I gotta agree on taking the episodes down, however. After all, it IS illegal. I simply watch it on Youtube, so this doesn't affect me, but I can see why Hasbro wants these down. As the last few guys have said before me, this is in fact illegal. Torrents, piracy, etc. So, while I completely understand, it's an unfortunate loss in the Brony community. I also don't agree on the decision to keep the site up....but hey, to each man his own consequence for his actions. Unfortunate, but indeed the right call on Hasbro's side...
  16. Truth be told, this doesn't affect me much for the fact that I watch episodes on Youtube (Or, if I can catch them on The Hub every once in a while). However, this is definitely not good for the Brony community....It isn't a good time for things to come, either. After all, with "HASBRO" taking down episodes on Youtube, and this happening, and with that Protect IP Bill closing in....something bad is just itching to happen...
  17. Yes, it's true. http://www.equestriadaily.com/2011/12/ponyarchive-recieves-cease-desist.html#comment-form Very unfortunate, and this may ultimately prove it's Hasbro that's cracking down on the episode removal... I honestly cannot understand any of this right now, but I'll let you guys discuss for now. All I can add is, very unfortunate, and I have a bad feeling this is a sign for even worse to come regarding Hub-less Bronies...
  18. Was never a big fan of My Little Dashie. Seemed WAY too cliche and played-out unrealistically...then again, this IS Rainbow Dash with a human we're talking about... However, I can see why there's lovers for it, and the story does have a nice touch to it near the end. Solid fanfiction in my mind. Tear-worthy? Not that I see, but it is a very touching story.
  19. I spent most of 5th period today talking to one of my girl friends (Who IS a Brony) about Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy.... ...Can being a Brony get any cooler suddenly?
  20. Just discovered that two of my friends at school are Bronies! I feel so happy to know I'm not alone in the fandom at my school. Makes saying "20% cooler" in public, well.....20% cooler!
  21. If the show provides good proof of it, and it follows a fairly canon-like logic, I approve of any sort of shipping...except between two members of the Mane 6... Personally, favorite pairing is Spike and Rarity. I simply believe it's a pairing that follows canon nicely, but can also be quite adorable...
  22. Well, actually, going to what you said about Sesame Street, they've dealt with death on Sesame Street before. I recall one of THE BEST episodes of the show having to do with the matter of death. Sure, I'm willing to bet not all kids got it, but I did. And frankly, when written correctly, the subject of death makes for an intense, yet very deep episode for kids. I'm not sure the crew would wish to tackle such a task, but it's been handled on many shows like it. If they do indeed attempt to say A.J and Big Mac are orphans, I would applaud their effort either way. It's a bold risk, that as I said, even Sesame Street has done well. If they can pull it off, I have no doubt the writers on FiM could...
  23. I've recently been trying to convert my best friend into a Brony. Because of this, I've been sending him episodes over Facebook from their Youtube links. However, recently I noticed something odd. After sending him 3 different links for FiM episodes, I've noticed all 3 were removed by "HASBRO". Apparently, according to one of my online Brony friends, tons of episodes have been taken down recently, all by "HASBRO". Why am I putting "HASBRO" is parentheses? Well, I believe that this is a troll, or rather a report-abuser taking advantage of the God-awful report system on Youtube. After all, wasn't Hasbro completely behind us supporting the show in this sort of fashion? I fear, by the end of this year, there may no longer be great-quality episodes of FiM on Youtube. I already can't find every episode of the show on FiM, and last week they were all available... I don't know what's going on, but I can bet it's not going to turn out well...
