"Soup's on, Granny!" Applejack laid a bowl of Granny's favorite applesauce on a table inside the farmhouse. Everyday for lunch, Applejack treated her Granny to some lunch during her afternoon break from harvesting apples in the orchard. Ever since Applejack was a little filly, Granny had always looked out for her. Applejack loved the heritage that she was raised in and with Granny being a major part of her life, taking care of her as Granny became older and more fragile was the least she could do to repay her.

Applejack leaned out the kitchen window where Granny would commonly lay out her cooling apple pies. She yelled, "Granny? You outside? Granny however, did not respond. "Granny Smith!?" Applejack shouted Granny's name as she walked around the outside of the barn at Sweet Apple Acres. But Granny was now where to be found. "Hmm...," Applejack tapped her chin as she wondered where her pale green elder went off to. "Granny's never late fer lunch. What in tarnation is taking her so long to come back from the market?" And then Applejack's innocent pondering took a worrisome turn. "Land sakes!" Applejack gasped. "What if Granny threw her hip out again?" Applejack began racing her thoughts about Granny's condition. As she fretted, she galloped towards Ponyville in search of her most respected relative. "Oh, Granny should never take these trips by herself."

After a few worried glances down the streets of Ponyville, Applejack finally saw Granny. She breathed a sigh of relief as Granny appeared to be in good health and mood. She approached the elder just as Raindrop accepted an invitation for lunch. Applejack spoke in a loving, disciplining tone, "Granny, wut arya doing out walking still? And where's yer walker?" Applejack gave a horselike snort and gave an evil eye. "Did somepony take it again?"

Remington had just woke up. It was three in the afternoon, and he had just remember the exciting day that was before him. As he walked over to his cloud dresser, he swapped on his wrist watch and looked at what time it was. "Oh, man! I'm gonna be late!" Rem hurried out of his bedroom cloud through pillars of condensation that kept his home levitated, scurrying as fast as his little flightless body could go. As he ran, he reminisced on yesterday's blessings.

Yesterday, Remington had received an invitation to a birthday party from a filly at school. Inconceivably, the invitation came from a filly Remington thought was very pretty and nice. The charmer that Remington was never kept him bashful for long as he was friendly with almost everypony, even the schoolfillies that all of the colts were too busy practicing their acrobatic moves in the air to bother with. While the typical colt stuck their tongue out and teased rudely the fillies at school, Remington would be there to ease the situation and show the fillies his romantic, yet unconditional, love for them. Remington never really tried to be a "lady's stallion," he was just always gentle and warm-hearted to everypony.

Remington reached his friend's cloudhouse. They had been friends for as long as Remington could remember. As the invitation said it was an open invite party, he decided to see if his best friend would want to come as well, even if it was a filly's birthday party. All sorts of ponies were sure to be there. After all, the filly who passed out the invitations had parents that spoiled her in anyway possible, so the party was sure to spare no expense. Remington peaked through the cloud doorway. "Hey buddy? You there?"

((Madden's story is continued from Music of Empty Halls))

Madden breathed a sigh of relief as he felt his day's stress leave him. Madden had just talked to one of the most talented ponies he had ever seen. And instead of it being a typical young pegasus athlete, it was a mare with a beautiful singing voice. He had planned on her filling the spot that Sapphire Shores couldn't, singing the national anthem at this year's Best Young Flyer competition. But before he could trust her to sing if front of thousands of screaming fans, the Wonderbolts, and the Princesses themselves, Madden needed to see if she could handle a smaller engagement.

Madden fluttered his way to the South Auditorium to check on the preparations for the event.

Just as Arrow asked Jonagold her critical question concerning Cloudburst, Jonagold spotted Cloudburst in the sky. After Cloudburst's inevitable and scurrilous dialog with the others, they chased after the two feathers Cloudburst left being carried by the wind. Nova caught one of the feathers. Arrow jumped as high as she could and caught the second one with her mouth, doing a little showing off in the process. She spit the feather out onto her hoof as soon she realized whose feather was temporarily lodged in between her teeth. She held the feather up in all of it's bent and broken glory. "THIS!? This is what he gives us?"

Arrow flicks the feather back into the air before it falls slowly towards the ground again. She began pacing just outside the bakery as the three waited for Golden Delicious. "We're not going to be able to fly with these feathers. We're going to need to get more. But from where...?" Arrow taps her chin a few times as she thinks about where they could get feathers. And then it dawned on her. A new store had just opened in Appleloosa a few days ago, and it was called Davenport and Son. They specialized in selling furniture, something several settler ponies could use out in the uncivilized desert of the Pinto Plains. But, they also supplied inkwells and quills for the use as writing utensils. "Hey guys, we can get a bunch of quills from that new store that just opened up and use them for flying! What'd'ya say, Jona?"

"2, 4, 6, 8, 2, 4, 6, 8, 2, 4, 6," Miracle counted as she trotted closer and closer to the local bakery. She made this trip everyday, at precisely the right time, and with the exact same number of steps. This time, it looked like she made too big of strides and came up 2 hoofsteps to spare by the time she reached the bakery entrance. But she wasn't going to let this happen. She made her last two steps in place at the door. "8." Miracle breathed a sigh of relief before entering the building with her right hoof first.

Once inside, she stood in line at the bakery to buy a loaf of her favorite rye. When she ordered and received the bread, she paid her bits. The clerk, however, gave her change back. Miracle looked at the clerk and bits nervously, reluctant to take them for fear that they would bring her bad luck. The pony behind her began getting impatient and irritable. But before the pony could complain, Miracle spotted a small salt shaker on the counter. Taking the bits, she inconspicuously grabbed the shaker and sprinkled some salt on her hoof before tossing it over her left shoulder, right into the eyes of the disgruntled pony who was waiting in line behind her. Oblivious to the discomfort of others, Miracle trotted luckily towards the bakery exit.

Outside, she felt a strange itch in her front left hoof. "Oh, no! My foot is itching! That means... no, it can't be..." Miracle fretted the possibility of her future. But before she could daydream for too long, she noticed a jangle cent on the ground. With enlarged irises, Miracle grabbed it with her mouth and tucked it into her bag.

"It's just a jangle cent," a nearby pony who observed her said. "Those things are, like, worthless."

Miracle smiled as if she knew better than the pony who criticized her. "See a jangle cent, pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck! See a jangle cent, let it lie, all day long you'll have to cry." The other pony rolled her eyes as Miracle went about her superstitious ways. Miracle knew that she looked foolish, but she wasn't willing to risk having swarming bad luck follow her just because she didn't want to look like a fool. She felt that bad luck was always following her.

Then, she spotted a tourist peryton talking with Miracle's prior acquaintance Robikku. She knew that if Robikku was talking to her, it probably meant she needed help. Robikku was always a helpful pony.

Miracle was a little nervous about going out her normal routine to see what the matter was with the peryton. But Miracle was feeling extra lucky today, and she felt that she could help others by sharing the extra luck she felt she had. Miracle walked towards the two, counting her steps along the way whilst avoiding the cracks and seams in the cobblestone path. "...4, 6, 8, 2, 4, 6, 8, 2, 4," Miracle looked up at the two as she approached, "6, 8. Hi, Robikku. And hello there, miss, I don't believe I've ever seen you before. In fact, I can't remember the last time I saw one of your kind. My name is Miracle. You here to visit the castle grounds?"

  5. Well, if you listen closely, you can notice that everytime ponies walk or tap something, you can hear a clingy sound. Like this:

That just proves AJ ha a calised nose, lol. I propose that they almost always wear horseshoes that magically invisible, but they are still made out of a metallic mineral and create a print when pressed into a soft layer of dirt.

  6. I love Cyclin' (myself, of course). If not that, I have to go jogging at least 3 times a week.

Also, trainin' hard to become a parkour novice. :smug:

Im not an 'in-shape' guy, lol. However, I was glued to my computer during the Tour de France. Always am.

Congrats to Cadel Evans for the tour's first Aussie winner.

  7. It hadn't really crossed my mind that they were just out of ideas for Scoot. Everything about the characters in this show seems so well thought through.

It would seem that the amount of character development they have put into other characters gives us as hardcore fans a respect that if we see some kind of connection, that the writers must have a good reason for it. But there will be some times where they are just throwing a few elements together without any real thought about the significance of those elements.

  8. I'm just curious. All of us love Winter Wrap Up, both song and episode. But I'm wondering, what if the episode didn't have that song. Would we still be loving it as much as we do? I submit that we don't. And since it's been somewhat determined that Owl's Well That Ends Well is the least favorite episode amongst most peers, let's do that comparison. Please provide comments for information that cannot be given by poll results.

  9. I'd like to know more about Scootaloo.

In the end, both AJ and Rarity are there to congratulate with their respective sisters...

    And then there's Rainbow Dash.

It's been confirmed there's NO relation between Scootaloo and Dash... so why is she there? The idea she's there to cheer what clues bring me to believe is an orphan filly makes her even MORE AWESOME in my eyes... but makes me sad for Scoot...

I think Dash is a "big sister" type to Scootaloo, serving as her idol and hero and who Scootaloo wants to be.

But yeah, it'd be interesting to see where's her sister or parents...or anybody's for that matter.

I never noticed Rainbow Dash implying Scoots support from the end of The Show Stoppers. Very interesing...

  10. Granola was getting better, but she was lost for words. With the calling off of the other gaurds, Luna's extinguish of the alarmed guardsponies, and Scales comforting presence, she could begin to hope that her life is not yet ruined. And with that hope, her mind seeded again the thought of visiting the royal gardens and seeing all of the rare specimens she had longed to see. Mayhaps Luna would give Granola special permission as a gesture, having put a pony through so much distress. Hopefully. Or maybe instead, she would refuse to risk any more situations in downtown Canterlot and would ask her to be hauled away so that her crying wouldn't continue to burden the slate blue princess. Maybe not.

Still speechless, Granola continued to think back and forth about the positives and negatives that could conspire in this situation. Her facial expression and her body posture toggled up and down with every changing thought in her imagination as she tried to convince herself of the possibilities. To an observer, it seemed she was trying to make goofy faces that changed every five seconds. It was almost like the stress she'd been under kept her from making the correct responses to authority, even in her mind.

As Bonfire readdressed the situation and asked Luna what was to be done about the brown pelted pony, Granola cowered again, and with knees bent, touched the ground with her four hooves, her entire underside planted, and her chin rested on the path. The sweat from her brow drained along the angled sides of her apprehensive eyes. She wasn't sure if Canterlot would provide her an attorney in a judicial court system, but she sure wished they did. Granola couldn't speak for herself about anything during tense times like this.

  11. If Party of One doesn't make it out of this round, I'm cancelling the poll and uploading a virus. Just sayin.

    Murdessa? :!:

I think he's making phony accounts just to vote, lol.

This looks like a final round. Which really is a shame. Voted for Party of One and Best Night Ever. At this point, any votes for Winter Wrap Up are pure nostalgic votes. It's a great song, but a trip to the finals is going to take more than just soundtrack. Party of One was original for it's target age group, i feel, and Best Night Ever had a brilliant slide show of it's characters. Best Night Ever really is the best 6 episodes, IMO. 1 from each character... lol.

  12. This is more of a line error rather than an animation error.

So, remember in episode 1 when Twilight was reading the story about the legend of Nightmare Moon? It distinctly mentioned, "...There were two regal SISTERS..."

Now, when Nightmare Moon is defeated in episode 2, she reverts back to Princess Luna. When Celestia mentions that Luna is her sister, the other ponies (specifically Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash are shown) are surprised. Now, that should be expected of the other five ponies, however, Twilight Sparkle has read about the legend and should have already known that Nightmare Moon/Princess Luna was Princess Celestia's sister.

I agree somewhat with some of the recent responses in this thread. It was never established that Twilight knew who the sisters were. She knows Celestia, obviously, but maybe she never understood that Celestia was the one 'maintaining balance for generations since.' 'Generations since,' could give the reader the fallacy that the sun and moon were raised by different characters throughout time.

It still doesn't explain why Twilight wouldn't develop this knowledge further, but then again, we haven't seen Luna since Episode 2 either.
