  1. I think I'll pretend that I'm a little kid who just watches the show and doesn't even know or care when production people change because they don't know any better. Thus, I expect it to be the same as season 1.

    This...

When you're a kid who likes a cartoon, a wave of new episodes is sometimes the best unexpected thing that can happen on television.

And like kids, we must remained transed by the same 26 episodes over and over again, because we love this show too much. Just one more episode, Mom, and then I'll come to dinner...

  2. I'm pretty sure that cyclops pony was intentional. It would be interesting if we were able to find out why.

I don't thinks so, it looks like the animators dun goofed with eye animation. The face moved from the side view to the frontal view but they forgot to do the same for the eyes.

But it is so obvious. I saw that error the first time i watched the episode. How could they not catch it, unless they intend for some reason to leave it like that.

  3. Every once and a while, Granola Gracie tours through the Whitetail Wood, looking for interesting specimens of plants. Occasionally, she will get sidetracked into discovering a generation of rare flowers that grow in an opening in the forest, free from greedy oak trees to steal all of the sunlight. On this particular moment, Granola began wandering north up the foothills towards Canterlot. She was so invested in the flora she was discovering, that she didn't even realize how far she had traveled and how late it had been getting. She was close enough to the city to where she would look back to find a dusky horizon outline what would be a long dark trip home. Sighing to herself, she made the obvious decision to stay a night in Canterlot.

((OOC: not sure what time it is, hopefully early evening is OK))

She excited herself with the fact that she got to visit the royal town. She hadn't been here for quite sometime. And to her excitement, the first thing that would not-so-surprisingly come to her mind would be the possibility that the royal garden would be open to common citizens on a beautiful day like today.

She trotted briskly towards the palace, where the city of Canterlot was bustling around. Granola halted. She spotted a small group of ponies gathered at the steps of the royal palace. As she tip-toed closer, she realized who the center of attention was. "Princess Luna," Granola quietly whispered to herself. She had never seen her before. This had been her first trip to Canterlot since the thousandth year of Summer Sun Celebration, and Luna's existence in Equestria was fairly renewed. Would Granola know how to contain herself?

Granola slowly walked towards the common direction of the palace (and it's garden) hoping that perhaps Luna and her crowd would possibly meet her halfway. After all, she didn't want to impose if Luna was a little guarded on her interaction with other ponies.

  4. It's good news and all, but I don't really think this needed its own topic...

    *Points to above image*

It dose now. I need somewhere to contain the Sqeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Thats such great news, I'm so happy for her!

I am actually inclined to agree that that photo combined with the news makes this a worthy topic.

    Your welcome! LOL

  5. I worry about the future of the show. I just hope they do not try to enhance what made the show amazing. I have seen it too many times before.

    What do you mean? Examples?

Well the development teams for certain shows seem to be awestruck by the popularity of their show. Well things will go well for a short amount of time and then an important member of the team will leave. After that the team decides to "make the show better" one way or another. This can end up ruining the show for the fans. Look at spongebob. If you compare seasons 1-3 to seasons 4-8 you will notice the decline. I have noticed the same for shows like Supernatural, CSI, Heroes, Ed Edd and Eddy, George Lopez, etc. It is not pretty. I think season 2 will be fine because she still has her hands in things kinda. I just do not think a season 3 will happen and if it does it might disappoint.

You're pretty much describing the nature of every show that has ever been concieved. Every succesful TV show has a beginning, a honeymoon period, some more great success, and then a decline. Right now, I'd say we're at the end of the honeymoon period.

Lucky for us, this show is kind of timeless, at will be an awesome cartoon to look back on 10 years from now.

  6. Season 2 seems like a good bet.

"Creative consultant" to me doesn't mean much. It could mean that she's still pulling major strings, and it could mean that she just nods and offers comments now and again. That can mean anything

Scriptwriter is more concrete. Although there's a lot that's great about this show beyond the writing, the writing is a highlight. Still, a scriptwriter can be as little as setting a general framework and as much as writing every last word.

So many questions. I'd have been happier figuring this out in late summer. This totally harshes my mellow.

Yeah, this is my line of thought. I doesn't sound too much will change. But I wonder what exactly is meant when she made the announcement. If it's just a title change and the writing and artist staff is pretty much the same people, I don't even know why it's worth mentioning. I don't know.

I'm a big fan of LOST. LOST was created by J. J. Abrams, and he wrote the first two episodes, and that's pretty much it. He was known for the mastermind of a show that was (Although it didn't end particularly well) and it lasted for 6 powerful seasons, only the first he was really a part of.

I'm not worried. But I still don't like the bad news this early. I could have coped with it better after the first episode of season 2, so that I can see visual proof of my ponies not turning into a crappy show...

    Mixed feelings indeed.

  7. Interesting read. But it speaks from many bronies hearts, not just this one.

It reminded me of something I have been thinking lately: Could MLP be a saving grace for the Internet?

I mean, it is kind of silly. But over the years, the Internet has spiraled into a fierce tornado of hate and spam, and it seamlessly grows non-stop with nothing in this way. But ponies, yes ponies, like little browsing-the-web antibodies, are attempting to kill the nonsense with 'rainbows'.

Could MLP fandom be "The Chosen One" that will bring balance to the internet? Probably not, but I'd like to entertain the fact.
