  1. My questions are:

    1. Does Rarity know about Spike liking her

    2. If she doesn't, HOW ON EARTH NOT

3.If she does, HOW ON EARTH COULD SHE LEAD HIM ON LIKE THAT

Yes, and she probably has some guilt about it and thus doesn't ask him for anything someone who wasn't a friend or wanted to help wouldn't do for her anyway.

Maybe they'll make an episode with 'not taking advantage of someone' as the moral, and the "relationship" will finally be addressed for realz.

On the other hand, Rarity doesn't seem like she would be the type to manipulate her friends. Other aquantances maybe, but not her friends...

  2. I am absolutely certain that the "epic song" that Daniel Ingram had hinted about will be in episode 26. He wasn't talking about Winter Wrap-up (since the interview was in March, and Winter Wrap-Up had already aired back in December.) We're talking a 20-person choir and all the main characters getting a solo part. :D

I can't wait for a Luna episode. I'm very curious as to what her personality will be!

Faust had hinted that there will be a "Big Bad" next season that all six will have to work together to defeat.

Yeah, I have been waiting for that song too. It will be my first major disappointment if there's nothing to squeal about in "The Best Night Ever" as far as songs go. Since that quote from Ingram, the best song IMO, is Fluttershy's "What is This Place?"

  3. Dis-I-Like

-Best groupings of facial expressions yet.

-Pinkie could possibly be Ponyville's Smeagol, given enough isolation

-All of the mane characters showed a new realistic side to their personality

    -Favorite lines:

*Applejack: "PICK APPLES! Apples! Cuz that what we do with, uh, apples.... we pick 'em."

*Suspecting Pinkie Pie: "Okie dokey, Lokey."

*Spike: "There's Fluttershy, a pegasus that's afraid of heights. What's up with that?"

-Pinkie Pie should seriously consider racing in the running of the leaves. Rainbow Dash doesn't stand a chance.

-Out of all of the ponies, Rainbow Dash blew the location of the party. Thought she would have known better.

-Pinkie Pie is really good voice actress.

-Apparently, the construction technology in Equestria is limited to goats and sheep.

    and the best DAWWW moment:

  4. hi hi

I'm not sure what they had reservations about, I just remember them saying something like "are you sure you don't want to watch something else?" My guess would be the voice acting, but I don't know if I feel like asking them to find out for sure. :)

Well, I guess it all depends what kind of little kid you were. If you were a little girl, I can't imagine having negative thoughts about the show unless a strong religious conviction was present. But if you were a charming young boy who watched My Little Pony when you came home from school, then I could see a more prevalent reason why parents would fret. However, I am sorry, for I do not know which of these you are.

  5. Had I done a little research into the show before watching it, I suppose I would have thought good things of it, too. The problem was, I wasn't it a place to be looking up what Laura Faust was up to since PPG had finished. Only on a random freak occurance would I have been able to forsee the awesomeness.

Are you a long time fan of MLP? Tell me how you saw it coming...

  6. I hold on to the hope that there will be a season-long story arc that somehow balances the charm of the show with Lord of the Rings style epic storytelling.

    *crosses fingers*

... or maybe a reappearance of G1 villains like Katrina or the Schmooze somehow.

In the sub-famous words of Spike, "I wouldn't hold your breathe."

  7. It's from the 1986 movie, and the Pony's name is Baby Lickety Split. Her performance ends up getting worse feedback than Pinkie Pie's. She even gets totally bashed before she breaks out in song about leaving home. It's all pretty tragic in it's own way... :(

  8. I think the fact that it's a girl's show is what makes it so much more appealing. If Friendship is Magic premiered on MTV, towards it's future fanponies, I don't think it would have been as popular. In order for this show to be what it is, it had to start a few doors down from where we thought we would be, so that it could crash through concrete walls to display its awesomeness. Not many people liked this show because they anticipated it. It's like going to a movie that you had no idea what it was about, only to find out it had a great charm to it, that couldn't possible be justified in a 30 second trailer to get your attention. You have to see it, to see it.

  9. I doubt anything special will happen. I think we're going to have a Pinkie Pie episode that deals with misunderstanding and a mane 6 episode in which a trip to the GGG ends up being something they didn't expect, learning a lesson on expectations. I don't think there's much to fit in except a little more detailed look at the city of Canterlot.

Season 2 would have a lot more 'special' things in it, methinks, since Faust and Co. have properly gauged the brony fanbase.

  10. I laid it out above, but for those with an injured mouse-wheel finger:

    1. Owloysius arrived the night after a meteor storm that otherwise seemed to be entirely superfluous.

    2. He came straight to Twilight's study and provided her with everything she needed, and asked nothing in return. Rather convenient.

    3. Owloysius is indeed mean to Spike, as he gave Spike an evil glare not once, but twice.

    4. He is creepy and robotlike.

    5. This is 2 episodes before the finale. A good time to introduce something like a spy.

    But mostly number 1.

Counterargument: It was a badly written episode, and the meteor shower might just have been filler. His helpfulness may just be transparent and hamfisted character introduction. That this is 2 episodes before the finale might just mean they rushed it and went cheap so that they could spend more time on the big finish.

Oh, man. What I wouldn't give to have a juicy story like that in a little girl's show....

  11. I think a episode to cap off the CMC is possible, but I don't think it would be during the season 1 finale. The Gala episode is looking to be a mane 6 episode. The foals don't have tickets ya know :P

but nor will they have babysitters...

But they all have parents. Supposedly. Hopefully.

I'm willing to entertain myself to think that Scootaloo is an orphan. It would help explain her 'out-of-the-box personality. Kind of like Gosalyn from Darkwing Duck.
