  1. Last updated April 9th, 2011.

Is this summary good? Or... What kinds of other things could you be wondering about Madden in his 'free time'?

Also, I'm a little torn between whether to make Hoofball it's own sport, (which is really is)

or traditional kickball with pony characters.
  2. My first exposure to MLP came from "Feeling Pinkie Keen". It got me into the show, and it fascinated me. However, now that I'm a huge fan, I gotta say it's probably my least favorite episode. Says a lot of the quality of this show in general when a bad episode can interest you into it.

As far as spreading the Pony Gospel, some people have made up in their mind that they wont like it even before viewing it. Unfortunately, this means that no matter what episode you show them, they'll pick it apart in their mind. MLPFiM rewards curiosity. It's not so pleasant when it is crammed down someones throat.

  3. I thought really hard about these, and they seem to fit very well...

Celestia @ Luna (This is about the reluctant attitude Celestia had about defeating her sister, and the things she may have said to her sister afterwords. Also, it's based on the Celestia-Midnight Moon feud being that of more of a balance of powers rather than the simple "good vs. evil." This setting would have created a very interesting emotion from Celestia.)

    Gilda

(This one was a bit of a stretch. Rarity is kind of hard to find a song for...)

Fluttershy (Fluttershy is even harder than Rarity, because few pop-culture songs can explain or illustrate the personality that is the Fluttershy complex. But, the Beatles have never failed me--this song is perfect for Fluttershy!)

  4. Maybe they would devote the club to helping other young ponies find their Cutie Marks once they got theirs.

I thought about this. Maybe they could circulate characters by introducing new members of the club after older ones get cutie marks. Similar to SNL. Kind of.

  5. Before the next episode, which is looking to be the most promising CMC episode yet, I was wondering if we could discuss the possibilities of these foals actually getting their cutie mark. Or, for the argument, is the seeking the cutie mark everything these characters have to offer the show?

IMO, I think Sweetie Belle has the most realistic chance at getting her cutie mark before the other two. Her talents seem to stand out more than Apple Bloom's and Scootaloo's personal talents.

Also, if Faust and the writers ever actually issue cutie marks to these characters, wouldn't their futures be separated from each other and their importance to the show. Apple Bloom with a cutie mark, makes her 'just another branch in the Apple family tree.' And scootaloo, while ambitious and adventurous like Rainbow Dash, would have to retire her scooter, which makes her unique, to an extent when she becomes a more mature pegasus clearing the sky's clouds.

    What are your thoughts?

  6. Granola's eyes grew large and wet with glee. She was overwhelmed by his like knowledge of plant life. Most deep conversations she has about specific species of plants she has with herself or Precious. "YES! Daucus carota! I shouldn't be surprised that you don't have any available here on your cart. I am trying to do a study on the affect wild carrot plants have on other plants. Ancient pony legend and ancestory has hinted that it boosts tomato crops. But I have only obtained one specimen in my thorough search for the root. At what maturity are the ones you say you have at? You must know they take like two years to fully mature before they produce the seeds I am after."

  7. Granola dropped her smile into a slightly disappointed expression when Carrot explained his knowledge. "Oh." Granola was beginning to lose hope in her quest to find a larger quantity of wild carrot seeds. "Ya see, wild carrots produce this flower that holds all the seedlings for future generations of flowers and, uh--." Granola realized she may be preaching to a choir. "Ha ha! Look at me talk about carrots to you; I'm sure you know all about it!" Granola rolled her eyes and shook her head slightly.

Meanwhile, the marketplace was getting more and more busier with more ponies from all of the surrounding areas for all kinds of business. At Granola's cart, about a hundred hooves away from Carrot's, Precious began hissing at anypony that walked by her cart and would even growl at innocent ponies looking at her cart from a large distance.

  8. You're all forgetting that Hasbro is co-owner and co-founder of the Hub. Toy sales are their base, but they've sunk money into the Hub and they don't want to see it fail. And unless they have an agreement to share toy profits, their partner, Discovery Communications, gets nothing from toy sales. This puts pressure on Hasbro to kill net showings.

Frankly, I think Hasbro is happy for the attention right now, but if/when this thing reaches critical mass, they'll squelch YouTube showings in ten seconds flat.

I think what we're looking at is really YouTube (and other internet broadcasting) VS. Cable/Satellite providers, and not HUB vs. YouTube. IMO, TV subscriptions are costing way too much, and none of them allow for a la carte channel picking which they say is 'impossible.' At this rate, I am almost willing to pay a reasonable price to watch exclusive videos online, whether it be YouTube or a channel's main broadcasting site to watch their programming. In this way, I feel that YouTube is cutting the middle man out.

  9. I agree with everything.

However, 4chan has the 'amazing' ability to let it get out of hand, and I wonder how much HASBRO is sweating to keep their image, even on the internet, a positive one. It can get kind of scary when kids or parents of kids are searching for online pony content only to find obscene arts and memes that give the franchise a bad name. Is it possible to blame Faust for 'too good' of a show?
