  1. Party of One did a great job of showing her "other side". I can't say for sure, but I can see Pinkamena showing up somewhere in this episode. Maybe out of stress or frustration. Can't say for sure though. I didn't listen to the leaked song, so all of this will be new for me. My guess is that "Last Roundup" episode will be the 15th e[episode for season two. Just my guess though! Let's just wait for episode 12 though.
  2. If you would like me to be technical, then it IS a bad thing. However, ponies on Blu-ray is a good thing. A DVD's resolution doesn't go higher than that of a 480p Youtube video. (640x480) so the quality on HD displays would be stretched, or have the black bars on the sides of the screen. (Because 640x480 is a 4:3 resolution) so not only would it be streched, but it wouldn't be 16:9. DVDs do not offer 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound, either. And DVDs aren't nearly as large as Blu-ray discs. A Blu-ray up to roughly 75gb of data. Whereas a DVD can hold up to 5gb of data. You could fit all of season one on a single Blu-ray disc, and have a good amount of room left. Plus, it would be 5.1 / 7.1 surround compatible, and be in stunning HD. Ponies on DVD? NO. Ponies on Blu-ray? YES YES YES YES YES!
  3. On the twelfth day of Hearth's Warming, ponies gave to me... Twelve Mare-do-wells. Eleven dresses tailored Ten baked cupcakes Nine mares a-prancing Eight colts a-singing Seven apple buckers Six bestest friends FIVE PINKIE PARTIIIIIES! Four Parasprites Three cutie marks Two tortoise copters And a dragon with a goatee I tried my best, just not as creative as all of you. Now for the surprise. IF the song is complete, and you all are pleased, I will be making a sing-along of this. I'm currently composing the song itself, with sounds themed towards the show. (Squee, anyone?) If I could get complimentary singers to send their lines to my email, that would be great! My email is: rainbowdashzx at gmail.com (Anti-bot procedures)
  4. Let me make a post to you that will most likely be filled with things you don't want to hear. Your brother IS still your brother. He may be 20, and still living with you and your parents, but he IS still your brother. No matter how much you would like for him to leave, or not exist, he will always be your brother. Before you can get any further, you NEED to accept this fact. Now, if you told your family your "secret" of being a brony, then that too, is a good step. Now that you're not hiding anything. If your brother mocks you for it, ignore him. Or, better yet, try to show him that it can be a good show. Don't just yell at him as like trolls, that is what he wants. You need to calmly, sit down, and tell him that you do not like the way that he has been treating you. If you do not have your own room at the moment, then this is even better. You need to talk to him, and tell him how you feel. Or else it will just get worse. Do NOT just ignore him. As that is how problems just get worse. IF he can't accept the fact that you like the show, then just ignore him. ONLY after talking to him about your feelings, however. You do NOT hate your brother. This is simply a stage in life. As ALL of us have gone through it. Your brother was once your age, too. don't forget that. It's only natural that siblings are at eachothers' throats all the time. It wouldn't be a family if they weren't. You can't just wish the problems away, either. Only you can fix what needs to be fixed. Don't be mean, don't threaten, and be nice. Talk to him about it, and tell him that the way he is acting is immature, and that he should keep his opinions to himself, unless asked otherwise. Or, if none of this works, talk to your parents about it. You don't necessarily need to bring the show into the mess, but tell them the way he is treating you, and how you feel about it. There is no need to be ranting online when you could be fixing your problems. I hope this helps!
  5. This topic is still alive? As I see it, we've got two sides. The: "I obey the law, so this does not affect me" or The: "I need Ponyarchive because I DO break the law but I don't know where else to go!" If you're going to torrent them, just find another source. Otherwise, watch it on the HUB or iTunes. And if you say you NEED to torrent them, then liek I said. There are other options. So really, Ponyarchive's CnD really has no effect on us.
  6. The video itself is 1920x1080, which IS 16:9. The black bars were a rendering issue with Vegas Pro that I had. My newer videos won't have them though. If you have any requests for clips or songs, just PM me and I can upload them!
  7. Youtube isn't exactly "low quality" by any means. The videos on Youtube go up to 1080p, at 128kb/sec bitrate with sound. Most of the episodes on Youtube DO have watermarks, but so does television. So for most, it's really the same. Let me show you a video I uploaded to Youtube. I used Sony Vegas Pro to correct it, sharpen, saturate, and such. It looks amazing. In fact, it's Blu-ray quality. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7aCsvEak1w&context=C2a2baADOEgsToPDskJvtSMDOGTUNKg7BLC6ka5Z Make sure to watch it in 1080p. So that's my point, Youtube isn't necessarily VERY BAD quality.
  8. There was a LOT writen subtly into the story, anyone who did not take the time to really look at the details and style, should take a second look. Even if your not a fan of the story, the Author put a LOT more in there than most people notice at first. I can agree with this completely.
  9. I read the story multiple times, and I believe I've figured it out as to why it is so touching. Spoiler alert! Don't open unless you've read the story!
  10. Note: I am not sure if this is the correct forum, as it DOES pertain to the new series, but the following is a fanfiction. I looked for a section where this would go, but I did not find one. If possible, please move it to the correct area. The following is a fanfiction wrote by RobCakeran53. ALL credits belong to him. Open the following Spoiler ONLY after you've read the entire story. Please, do feel free to discuss this amazing story, and post how the ending made you feel. I cried. A LOT. Not with the original, but after I put that song on.
  11. I've got Dish as well, and we've got the top 250 channels. HUB was there a few days ago, but they just removed it. I believe you need to pay extra to get HUB.
  12. The main objective of this game is to make up our own rendition of the Twelve days of Christmas. Ponyville edition! Since I started the topic, the lyrics will start with the person below me, so it all reads out correctly when we're done. Begin!
  13. If you've read anything except the title of this thread, you would know that you don't need the HUB to watch all of the episodes. I actually prefer them on my PC. Because I can watch them whenever I want.
  14. Your face when you find out that your best friend was a brony before you. Edit: I think this is necessary.
  15. I hope they don't stop at 65. I mean, it's still fresh, and they haven't gotten repetitive with their episodes, and the bronies are still alive and active. It would be in their best interest ot keep it alive for roughly....5 seasons, in my opinion.
  16. "HASBRO" wouldn't cut it. That isn't them. If it were, it would say something along the lines of "Hasbro INC - USA" or something along those lines. Because Hasbro isn't international, it's separated by country. Tehy can't just tell them not to, because it isn't legal for us to post them. I've got all fo season 2 in 1080p so far, so if anyone needs episodes, I can upload them or put them in a RAR file for download.
  17. I could see Cartoon network airing the show during it's early, or night time block. (6-8PM night time) or even Nick, but I can't say for sure, nobody can. The show seems to be fit perfectly with the existing shows on Cartoon Network, though.
  18. What really got me in to this show, was that the amount of fun this show contains, as well as superb animation. (Me being a Flash Animator, I can connect with the animation better) and how diverse everypony's personality is. The possibilities in outcomes of paring ponies together is virtually endless. What would happen fi you paired Twilight Sparkle, the main "magician" in the show, with Applejack? The hard-working, truthful, and well-mannered pony. Then the same could be applied to Rarity and Fluttershy. It's because of the contrast and yet similarities between the characters is very deep. Not ot mention I recognize the voices of many characters from older shows. Lauren Faust worked on Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends. (And Powerpuff Girls) so I recognize the animation, movements, stories, and such between the shows. Even before knowing who made the new My little Pony. Not to mention the nice communities of "bronies" if you will. That, mixed with the vast amount of PMVs, all of which use good songs. (Most, anyways) and the HILARIOUS Youtube poops. Hasbro hasn't pulled any dumb moves yet, so they're still cool. Not removing the episodes on Youtube and all. So who is actually broadcasting the show helps my view on it too. The episodes never seem similar. (like with Dragon Ball Z, it's the same thing every season) and there are a perfect amount of episodes in season one. I've already "converted" my two brothers, as they both like the show now. I've now actually got a show to look forward to on Saturday. Then you've got the AWESOME memes that are generated from it. "Awesome!" and "Eh, it needs to be about 20% cooler" and "10. Seconds. Flat." The music in the show is good (especially Rarity's new song) and never gets old. From Rainbow's rock and roll, to Rarity's classical. I can't say that I was converted in to a brony, as much as sort of making my descent at my own pace. I didn't rush in, but I watched it with an open mind. The fanfictions are really good, and I like reading them, so that is also good. Episodes like "Party of One" and "Sonic Rainboom" really offer a bit of a mood and tempo change in the show, exactly when it is needed. The show may be in a fictional Universe, but a lot of it isn't too much of the extreme. Like, there is no powering up to kill some evil guy, or shooting blasts to kill people, or anything like that. The show really uses a lot of modern day things, and such, but still holds that "nostalgia" feeling in my heart. I could honestly see this show on the cartoon block with Fosters home, and I would watch it no problem. And then you've got the Cutie Mark Crusade, which have been an on-going story throughout the show. (Which started in Episode 12? Correct me if I am wrong) so it helps you keep on track with it, knowing that nothing like "suddenly 7 years have passed" happened. It sort of, keeps your timeline in order, so to speak. There aren't a lot of flashbacks or anything, so the show never gets to a confusing point. Even if you started watching in season 2, you would still learn each pony's personality and still feel connected to them. What I can see Hasbro doing, is having Pinkie Pie, at the end of each episode, during credits. Read fanmail that people mail in, much like some other shows do. This would be a great addition to the show, and I surely see it possible. I picked pinkie Pie, since she seems most suitable. Although it could be any, or everypony from the cast. The humor in this show is good, and it is funny for all ages. The idea of a "cutie mark" itself is cool, but the way that the new show did it is even better. I can't say anything about the old show, because I haven't watched it. I'm still waiting to find out what the CMC's cutie marks will be. A promised THIRD season is also very good to know, because we've still got 17 episodes to go for the second season. Fluttershy's sad, and angry, and cute moments get the best of me, no matter which one it is, too.
  19. "MORE MONEY FOR US! SELL MORE PONIES!" Something along those lines.
  20. (Sorry for two topics in one sitting, but I felt this was necessary) I've been reading a lot of rumors and such of there being only 13 episodes in season 3. While I cannot confirm that there are 26, I can tell you this: There are 17(16 tomorrow) remaining episodes to season 2. All of the writing for season 2 was done before the leaving of Lauren Faust. There are a confirmed 13 episodes of season 3. So what most of you don't realize, si that that is 30 episodes CONFIRMED and 17 already written. 30 episodes would be 30 weeks of episodes. 30 weeks would be at LEAST 7 months of episodes left to be aired. We don't know how season 2's ending will be, or if it will connect with the premiere of season 3, so I suggest you all stop worrying about the rumors, and just watch the show, and enjoy it. SEVEN months of episodes are yet to be aired, and that's if they don't change the episode every Saturday. That would be at LEAST until June of next year. Who's to say they haven't already started writing more episodes for season 3? Nobody knows, and creating rumors isn't the answer. Neither is worrying about it. MAYBE the show will do better without Lauren? NOBODY knows. So PLEASE quit worrying about it. That is all.
  21. Well thanks everypony. This is a very good welcome.
  22. Thanks to the both of you. I'm not a big fan of RP, just personally. Either ways, hello!
