I have to say, the shading really brings an extra edge into this artwork Lux. The shadows are much darker and more defined than in other pictures, and they really add another dimension to it. Awesome work!

Yeah, this was the second non-MLP, non-Anthro unicorn I've drawn. The first was way back in 2012. I actually read The Last Unicorn graphic novel before reading the book or watching the movie.

And thus Twilight has become Mr. Myogi from The Karate Kid!

Yeah I tried drawing my OC Lore weaver in EG style. Very tricky. As for Flash, I don't hate the character but i dislike the fact he's made to be a one dimensional love interest without much substance. He's like a background character trying to be a minor character.

I drew both wings to give the picture the appearance that Twi is tilting slightly towards the viewer.

Actually I do use references for drawing ponies, especially ones I don't draw too often like AJ. I especially look to see how others draw Anthro versions of ponies. 

Huh... They don't look too wiry to me. 

Yeah, I was working off of a reference for this. The jeans I was debating whether to go frayed or not frayed.

Thanks! I modified the typical golden guard armor to something closer to the guard armor found in Luna Eclipsed.
