  1. Yeah, I didn't particularly like Lesson Zero, like Angie said, it seemed really forced, but I did love the crazy Twilight face that came out of it, so it's not ALL bad.
  2. I'm gonna bump this so I can tell everyone that we're still looking for a new bearer for the Element of Laughter. So yeah, we're still looking for someone to be the Element of Laughter. We can't start until all the main roles are taken. Just remember that if you want in, you actually have to stick with this. Or, even if you don't want to be Laughter, you could be one of the other side characters. This is free-for-all after all, so you don't have to be a Zebra to be Zecora, nor a Griffon to be Gilda.
  3. I kinda hate to be the "That Guy," but when are we going to start this? Considering we have five people, assuming all five want to do this, I think we're all set.
  4. Perhaps I should look into what names are already taken before deciding on a name. Although I really like Fleet Foot as a name, I'll get over it. Fleet Paw it is.
  5. So, just a real quick head count of people who think they're going to participate: Me Davroth Imagination Firebolt SteelEagle Seems like a good number, five. Unless there's someone I missed, then I'm going to feel like a jerk.
  6. I always feel like a moron when something is pointed out to me that should have been obvious. Then again, I am a moron, so it all works out in the end. Fix'd
  7. That's... actually a fair point. Touche good sir. Touche.
  8. Two random small children lead a group of small children onto a train. Seems legit.
  9. Alright, well, that answered that question. In short: Broken horn = Severely reduced magic. Completely broken off = No magic. They grow back, they just take forever a few years. Thanks Tales! Requesting a lock.
  10. Yeah, I had a mild case of writers block last night so as soon as I got past the first paragraph I was just like "I can't think anymore." Then my face exploded. ... I got better. Anyway, thanks for the input Rose. Fix'd.
  11. We did indeed lost some posts, so here's mine again, as well as I can remember it. Basically, what's happening is that there's going to be an "Equestria Grand Fair" so we have an excuse to get the foals together. They accidentally hop on a train, then hilarity ensues. If other people really wanted, I guess they could take the EGF and make something else completely unrelated, but as of right now all it is is an excuse.
  12. That is true, we could just say "Running of the Leaves" or something and leave it at that, or some other excuse plot for our foals to get together. Make it easy for everyone. Also, once he gets approved, hope you don't mind having a cynogriffin in the group.
  13. I actually kinda like the idea of an Iron Pony Competition/Running of the Leaves. Takes out the parents from the picture, and can include some non-foals as well, their babysitter(s) could come along too or something, maybe stressing out the entire time while the foals are off doing whatever, the babysitter can be like "We need to go back. Like, now. Before your parents do." And then the babysitter proceeds to have a Twilight-level breakdown. (Clock is ticking, babysitter. Clock. Is. TICKING!) So basically, yeah, have a huge event, then have two huge adventures with the parents looking for the foals, and the foals having no idea what's going on besides they're having fun.
  14. Roleplay Type: Mane RP/World of Equestria Name: Fleet Paw Sex: Male Age: Cub Species: Cynogriffin Eye Color: Green Coat Color: His feathers are a mango color that gradients into a white near the base of his neck. His lower half is a similar orange hue. Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: He looks like an explosion of fur and feathers, with his fur on his lower half in a complete mess and his feathers ruffled up. Physique: Running around everywhere since he can't fly has made him have some pretty strong legs for a cub. His body itself is rather lean. Origin/Residence: Rockwington Occupation: Apprentice metalurgist, part-time "explorationist extraordinaire!" Motivation: He wants to see everything there is in Equestria and beyond! Likes: Exploring, going places, moving about Dislikes: Being told to stay in one spot, having to sit still for more than 30 seconds Character Summary: History – Born in Rockwington, Fleet Paw spent most of his time around town or, more often, on the outskirts of town, "exploring" as he called it. Parents – Fleet's parents work as metalurgists, often hired to make really ornate designs in metal for decoration. They are really relaxed about letting Fleet run around, but will track him down if he's gone for too long or if he's causing trouble. Flaws – A bit overly enthusiastic, Fleet once went really far from town and got completely lost, and couldn't find his way home. Luckily his parents found him, and they were both really worried. He learned his lessson, but he still strives to be a better explorer, so one day he can go that far and be able to come home safely. Personality - If you asked anyone who knew Fleet to describe him in one word, they would likely pick "hyper," with "fast" being a close second. With seemingly boundless energy, Fleet spends most of his time running around, exploring every nook and cranny he can get into. Fast talking and faster running, it's hard to keep up with Fleet Paw Almost since he's been able to walk Fleet Paw has been on the go. Never content to stay in one spot, he will often wander off, looking for places he hasn't been yet that he can reach. Unfortunately, high places are out of reach to him, as his wings aren't much use besides for gliding or getting a bit of an extra boost while jumping. That doesn't discourage him, however, since he usually runs everywhere anyway. He says it helps him learn the land better, but he probably just heard that somewhere and says he came up with it. Whenever he's given the chance he will gladly go with his parents for business to other cities. More places to explore! More cool places to go! He would like nothing more than to see everything the world has to offer! That's not to say Fleet didn't like where he lived. It was a nice community, really small, really tight-knit, it's just that there was so much to see, how could he sit still? His parents at first tried to keep him close, stay in town, but they soon realized it to be a futile effort, as Fleet would just run faster than his persuers. So they just let him run free. They still worry for him, and if it starts to get dark they will go looking for him, but for the most part they trust him to stay out of trouble.
  15. Yeah, I was just about to say, the young ones can't really go anywhere without their parents, unless they have no parents. Once they get to the site, we could easily do away with the parents in a fashion such as "Alright, meet back here at sunset. Stay out of trouble" then parents leave. This also depends on how we're actually gonna have them playing near the trains in the first place. We could always re-include the parents later, like after a while the posts could go something like: *stuff about the foal* -- *stuff about the parents*
  16. Hmm... maybe... maybe there can be, like, a carnival that only comes around once a year, and it's this big huge thing that everypony wants to go to. This year it's near the train station or something, and the foals think it's part of the fairgrounds or something. Maybe they all find some old clothes or something in one of the luggage cars and start messing around with it. The train starts leaving, but their having too much fun to notice. Eventually they do notice, and decide to roll with it. Maybe a bit too much detail, but that could be the general start.
  17. I don't have a foal OC, unfortunately (but I just might make one just to participate in this) but I 100% approve of this topic. Also, SteelEagle, having them hop on a train and have a lulzy advenutre around Equestria sounds like an awesome idea. That's it, I'm making a new OC specifically to participate in this.
  18. True enough. You're the one who's going to be playing Celestia, so you can do whatever you're going to do. It's just my opinion on what to do.
  19. Taken from Frain Breeze's Lanceguard bio.
  20. Ah, what was the name that the Cross and Arrow gave Celestia? Prince Solarus? You could do that if you really don't want to be a princess. Because, really, who doesn't want to be a princess? Also, considering the fact that Celestia only appears, like, five times, maybe you could actually have her, you know, do something.
  21. I'd like to think that if I were a unicorn and I accidentally did something stupid to break my horn that I'd still be able to do magic. And my mind immediately went to thinking "prosthetic horn." It's not nearly as good as a natural horn, but it still allows them to use some basic magic, like levitating. But for broken-but-not-broken-off, I think just being crippled and unable to do magic until it mends, again like being unable to use a broken leg or a broken arm.
  22. As a joke, I would say go along with it, try and act all macho and stuff in front of them, but in all seriousness, I would just ignore them. If that don't work, try acting really creepy, see if they go away (JOKING). If THAT don't work, I would tell the manager or something. Worst case scenario, you have to get the police involved, but if ignoring them or being creepy getting your manager involved doesn't work, then you might just have to go to the police.
  23. You, sir, having nothing to fear about being judged here. We watch a show for little girls, there's no shame here. There's also no such thing as awkward. Unless you make it awkward. Also, rambling, it's kinda a common thing, at least with me. I ramble some times. Okay, a lot of the time, but that's not the point. Welcome to Canterlot!
  24. tl;dr: Disregard haters, acquire shufflin' Discord.
  25. @Weesh I never understood naming plants. Now naming animals, that makes sense. @Angie and Fawkes Go watch the series. Right now. All of it. Pretend you're about to have an MLP marathon, but while flicking through the channels you find Firefly, and you think "Alright, I'll give it a shot past the first episode" and then you wind up watching all of it. That's how it should happen. Make it happen, right now.
