You said it ^^ It makes me nervous when I'm told to write a long thing for either a character or story, because then I feel I might go out oif my depth and not be good enough to reach standards. Nice to know that the standards on length aren't quite so hard to achieve

Lemme see what this little unicorn can think up with her magic powers on this discussion. On nearly every single occasion, the colt or filly has a name that eventually corresedponds to that of their eventual talent, or perhaps the actual image of their cutie mark, the visual representation of their talent. Of course, not all do. But when we see them, they have a name that 'makes sense' in MLP canon. But, since we don't know all of their backstories, they could have had normal names, like Leroy Jenkins. And then coined a nicer, more unique nickname once they reached student age, which is the name everyone knew and loved/hated them as. We don't know for certain in that regard. With the ponies that are born with a name corresponding to their eventualk cutie mark, it can only be assumed that their personality helps. Besides, you don't name your child the moment they arrive, right? This gives the loving mare and stallion time to observe the behavior of the colt/filly, and create a name corresponding to that. Afterall, personality is what makes each of us different, and it can also lead to us choosing specific activites to indulge in. Like if you are adventurous, you might take up stunts in your backyard. Stuff like that. Or it's possible their are doctors out their with the power of prophecy, who can see the cutie marks event beforehand. Say your pony got a smily face cutie mark when they cheered up loads of people with silly tricks *coughalternatepinkiepiecough* The doctor might see them dancing around some people pulling silly faces. And, since these doctors are excellent judges of character, they can think of a few names off the top of their head about or relating to the event they visioned. They suggest all the options to the parents, who choose the one they like best. That's just what I think.

When I first heard ht eopening, I almost screamed. Mainly because the "My little pony" line at the very beginnning made me think I was watching G1, and I'm like "Oh heck no!" I had problems after reading the tales of each. Victoria has to stay permanently in the Santuary due to her malnourished mother, and its carry over. Plus Victoria is absolutely gorgeous. Prince... I dunno. He seems like he needs the least help. He had it easy. Though he is beautiful Icky got emaciated. I may not actually know what the word means - cue horror - but that sounds really bad. And Icky looks adorable. Dolly fell is a ditch. Ouch. Ditches. The bane of every horse. One false step, down a deep dark hole. Glad to see that she isn't injured anymore. SO. HARD. MUST. CHOOSE. I think I'll vote for Victoria. a) Gorgeous b) I find her story sad, since she can never see the world and run rampant. To be forever inclosed in a place for her own safety... But yea, that's who I voted for.

Is her name ACTUALLY Derpy? I just have to ask, since I haven't seen very many episodes. I personally love Derpy. She just goes to show that not all ponies are perfect on the outside. I mean, majority of the time her eyes a crossed, and her color scheme isn't great... But I reckon she's really sweet and lovable for helping others despite her disability. Less magic, more bravery. I reckon, however, if she were given a speaking roles, even if it was just saying "Derp!" we'd be crushed. Our image of Derpy would fly, and she'd lose the interest she has gained through being an error pony. Because we all imagine her voice differently. Some way imagine it slow and slurry. Others, speedy and tripped. Others, fairly normal with a slight stutter, and so forth. To see Hasbro's intention of what her voice would sound like if she had one would be interesting. But since she's a background pony who is not meant to speak as of yet... I think Hasbro will just leave Derpy as she is. I love her like that anyway.

I have a dream episode. One where Hasbro makes Twilight and co act as if they are playing Minecraft. Applejack, you punch trees. Rarity, you build a nice house. Rainbow Dash, kill the creepers that come to kill us. Fluttershy, mine carefully for diamonds. Pinkie Pie... dig dirt. Myself, study the strange creatures of this land inside the beautiful house Rarity made. It will never happen. BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE SUCH A COOL IDEA. In my fantabulous mind, at least

Hi. I simply have to ask this question before I develop a particular character into "Solitaire" canon. The question; Can I create a FEMALE royal guard? The reason I ask is because royal guards, according to the wiki, are always female, and have a generic look about them. And since the character I aim to create is all about safety, I figured she'd do well as a royal guard. So the question had to be asked.
